I don’t normally write alot of reviews. I’m Always torn with Amazon products not knowing if they are going to be junk or not. This has to be one of the most surprised products I have ever gotten. I’m a ametuer GoPro user so I’m limited in the GoPro world and accessories. I needed a Magnetic base to film time lapse video for construction. The entire body is aluminum, they have rubber strips on the adjustable ball sockets to hold the position better. (I would guess being on aluminum you may not want to position much while it’s tight, to save damage to the rubber, since it’s pressing into the aluminum body) Magnets are really strong and can’t wait to use them for car videos in the future. This was money well spent.
The magnets are strong with a rubber covering so as to not scratch the surface they are mounted on. They hold tight without being so strong it is impossible to get off. I think you would need stay under there limit so the magnets don’t slip but other than that they seem to hold Strong.
The camp is awesome, I can really ratchet it down and make sure it stays in place, just wish the other camps I have were made like this one.
This magnetic mount is very strong and made very well. I have no worries about it coming loose. The ball adjustments work very well like a magic arm. It is designed for an action camera with a maximum weight of 4.4lbs. You can reconfigure it from 2 magnets to 1 magnet if needed.
The kit comes in a nice box with cut outs for well machined parts. Stuck to the door very well. There is no mobile phone mount, but looking closely it said there wasn’t. About 1mm of play in the quick release, but I’m not worried, could fill if needed.
Took to 30mph over bumps and hills, held firm. I tested off the beaten track and on a flat piece of the car door. I’m confident to take it on the road after that test. It is definitely the right choice. I’d have liked it sub 50 but the build quality and peace of mind is worth it.
This magnetic action camera mount is strong enough to mount a GoPro or similar-sized cameras to vehicles and stand still even at relatively high speeds. I wouldn’t try and mount it to any flying vehicle though. Also, even when mounted to a car, truck, or boat, I would still use a safety chain/cable, just in case.
The construction is very solid and basically all metal and some rubbery parts in order not to slip over the fixing surfaces. It comes with a metallic GoPro mount and also a small plate with a standard 1/4 screw that you can use to fix other types of equipment such as microphones, light fixtures, and other cameras.
Its use goes far beyond moving vehicles and it can be used to fix a great variety of tools to hard spots or in situations where a traditional light stand is not viable or convenient.
This is definitely a great addition to any GoPro Kit and a must-have for any grip and camera department as well.
I had been looking for something similar for my Alps road trip for quite a while and Neewer delivered just in time.

As soon as I held the mount 5-10CM away from my car I felt an instant pull. After it was attached it was a struggle to move, I gave it a wiggle test back and forth with my go pro 11 attached and it would not budge without a decent bit of force behind it.
I took it for a spin on the roof of my car reaching speeds up to 50MPH without issue. I also performed some Torque pulls to see if that would rock the mount back and forth and yet again to my amazement, it did not move.
Weather conditions for this test were dry and sunny, with some wind.
I will update this review on my next test of speeds up to 70MPH.
I recommend cleaning the surface of your car before attaching the mount to prevent light scratches.
I have so many good features to mention about this camera car mount but the best feature of this mount is the dual magnetic strong suction design. Setting up the Magnetic Action Camera Mount is easy for me straightforward. The strong magnets and suction cup provide a secure attachment.
Overall this is one of the best purchase of mine so far.

This magnetic mount is a great addition to my camera bag! First off, it feels extremely well made and doesn’t feel cheap. It is mostly made from metal and has a little weight to it. The magnets on the bottom are quite strong and are rated for up to 4LBs. I have mainly used this to mount my overhead camera to my metal shelf and it works perfectly for that. It held it with no issues and I had no fear of it falling or letting go. All things considered, this is a very versatile mount and I think it’s a great accessory to have in my camera bag!
This Magnetic Action Camera Mount arrives in a plain, Neewer branded, cardboard box. Inside the box is the magnetic mount itself, an action camera mount adapter, a 1/4″-20 screw adapter, an L shaped hex key, a wrench, a safety tether and a User Manual.
As you would hope for a product designed to hold a camera on the side of a car, the build quality of this mount is very good and it has a good finish throughout. The magnets are strong and live up to their claims of holding 2kg (I tested up to 2.3kg and it still held solid), whilst still remaining fairly easy to remove the mount when you need to.
The included wench and hex keys allows you to quickly and easily convert the mount from using two suctions cups, to just one, depending on your needs.
The two ball head joints in the ‘magic arm’ section of the mount are tightened using a single wingnut screw, that’s large enough to tighten even if you are wearing gloves. As a result of using just the single screw, it can be a little fiddly to line everything up, but given the short length of the arm, I can understand why they went with one screw, instead of one at each end.
The quick release plate system works well and is extremely handy as it allows you to quickly and easily remove your camera without having to remove the whole mount. Better still, two quick release plates are included. One with a standard action camera mount and one with a 1/4″-20 screw thread. Including two different mount styles allows you to attach a much wider range of equipment to the magnetic mount, and to quickly and easily swap between two different devices/equipment.
A nice touch is the inclusion of a safety tether, so that you can attach your equipment to your car and have the reassurance that you won’t loose it should the mount get knocked off for any reason.
In conclusion, this is a well made, rugged, magnetic action camera mount that not only works well but gives you the reassurance needed to attach an expensive camera to your vehicle in the first place.

This Neewer mount is solid as can be, the 2 magnet design is actually stronger than a few of my other 3 magnet bases. The Magic Arm has a very positive lock and I have had no issues with it moving at all with any of my cameras from a GoPro to a DSLR attached to the hood or side panels of my truck.
All and all it is a great rig that is secure and I have been down a few very bad roads and trails. Neewer does it again.
for mounting a lightweight camera to something metal yeah definitely strong enough the quick release does catch on its self a little bit and the nut holding the ball joint to the magnetic part does seam to want to come loose sometimes when adjusting so you have to make sure you tighten it before you leave it in place
The magnet is strong enough to hold my gopro plus 2kg of water, big round rubber feet to avoid any damage to paint work when mounted on car body. The hinges, quick release are all made with solid metal and will not sag or creep under load.
Comes with action camera attachment on quick release and a 1/4 inch camera screw mount for small cameras. There is also a nylon rope for the safety of your equipment which we tie to our door handle or clip it with the window edge to catch the mount incase it fails if knocked by accident.

I have never been a big fan of suction cup camera mounts. I just don’t trust them. They are fine for static environments if you have the proper surface to mount them on. My go-to mount was a c-clamp is great, when I have the right-sized clamp and a surface to mount it to.
The Neewer magnetic clamp is great for a variety of mounting positions… as long the surface is steel (or iron)

Quick release mounts for attaching cameras quickly. These mounts are strong and rigid – there is nothing worse than mounts that are poor fitting and allow for wobble.
– The Neewer arm can be positioned in a variety of angles to help get the right shot
– The magnets are very strong. I have not been brave enough to put it on a moving car, but I believe it would hold up.
Final Verdict – A nice strong, and flexible, mounting option for action and other small cameras.
I love the detent locking mechanism they used to attach the quick release plates. I got a little confused at first with the 1/4-20 threaded mount as it wasn’t going all the way in. I found that I had to pull the bolt up to get it to hop over the detent. As long as it’s screwed into something, that won’t matter.
The whole thing is made out of metal and feels very high quality. I can see the impressions of the magnets on the rubber bottom surface, and they get a very strong grip.
The only thing I wish was that there was a place to store the quick release plate I’m not using, as they’re very tiny and I don’t want to lose them.
Overall a very high quality mount.

I typically write long reviews when I absolutely love a product that gets the job done for me. However, this isn’t one of them. This action cam magnetic mount just plain works great! I use it in total confidence. The magnets are freakishly strong and if you have an inch of doubt, they’ve included a safety catch rope so if it did loosen, you still wouldn’t lose your investment. Absolute great find!
I was slightly concerned about this mount, I thought it wouldn’t live up to its claims. ! I use it for my GoPro Max to capture footage of car videos, and so far it has withheld being hit with bad rain and wind. The magnets are so strong that it stays on my cars permanently. With that, it can actually be quite difficult to remove it sometimes. But if you lift at a side angle it’s easier. Needless to say, this wasn’t a huge concern for me and was more reassuring.
This is a small, yet well-built accessory. This easily fits into my pocket which keeps me from having to lug around a tripod for those special shots. With that accessory added, the cell phone is rock solid and, by using a Bluetooth switch I can shoot pictures or videos at my leisure. Often, I might simply pull over and want a shot and this will allow me to attach it to any metal of my car or, to a small metal base plate for more stability.
The base of the magnetic holder has a nice soft, rubberised bottom to protect your car and firmly grip any metal surface it is attached to. While a good strong bond. The two balls it pivots on for adjusting the angle are locked in using a single screw. So you have to make sure you have both angled exactly how you want them before tightening it. And those pivot points are not especially secure until tightened.
This is certainly one of the better-quality magnet mount arms on the market. I have used a few and although this one is considerably more expensive, you are paying for reassurance. The quality of the materials along with the magnetic suction, is brilliant. Using this for lightweight items like GoPro, insta60 or DJI Oslo’s, is fine. If you were to place heavier items on this it may struggle. Highly recommend.

Very impressed with the quality in this mount.
Make sure your car is not aluminum if you plan on using it on your car before you buy this. Personally, I would not use it on a car, as I think regular suction cups are stronger and more secure.
But this is very useful in many applications where you have a steel mounting location. In many of those locations, a suction cup will not work, and this can be moved quickly.
It comes with two mounts you can use with the articulating arm.
On for GoPro type mounts, the other will allow you to mount any small camera that has a 1/4″/20 threaded mounting hole.
Very versatile and both are via a quick-release system. This is very well thought out as so many of these are designed only for GoPro Mounts and many of us have other cameras we would like to use on our mounts.
If you have a need for a magnetic mount for action cameras this is a great choice.
This is a very secure mount that literally sticks to my bonnet like a limpet stuck onto a rock, it does come with safety string which must always be used just in case, they don’t mention a speed limit but I used it on a track day yesterday with no problems so should easily cope with regular speeds, it’s very well made and easy to adjust and with stabilisation of my GoPro footage looks smooth as butter too, all in all, a great mount.
The magnetic strength on this camera mount is fantastic, very secure and will not come undone unless you take it off yourself which is actually easy for something that’s on so securely. The suction cups are silicone and don’t harm the car in any way, no scratches, it’s good that there is dual magnetic suction which can pull a force of
up to 10kg. Can be used in any 360 degrees angles to allow different shooting angles, you just use the screw knob which you can adjust the angles, very easy and simple takes few seconds to do so.
The camera mount is foldable and lightweight, doesn’t take up much space so when not in use can easily be put away, very practical and very handy, it’s been designed in a smart way. Has a wide compatibility. High quality and super sturdy & durable.
Neewer Magnetic Camera Mount does the trick perfectly and has a really strong magnet for holding in place which of course is something that is a must yet this is super easy to remove from said locations.
Got this as a camera mount for timelapses and works wonders overall can be modified/adjusted to only use 1 of the magnet cups with the included tools which personally I think for action cameras it does only need the one two is best suited for traditional cameras holds both really well except I wouldn’t use a camera such as my Sony A7 with lenses attached for this.
Very well made mount with limitations of people who are going to use this being probably quite high but works wonders overall do reckon it could be slightly cheaper in my opinion but I’m happy with this overall would recommend and would highly recommend if into car cinematography as you’ll get some unreal shots with this.
