Synopsis

No Hard Feelings

Maddie (Lawrence) thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.

An Amazon recommendation that I thoroughly enjoyed. Funny and touching but with an uncertain ending leaving you in two minds as to what might have happened eventually to any further relationship developing between Maddie and Percy once he finished at college.

When I saw the trailer for this year’s movie ‘No hard feelings’, I thought: ‘Oh my God, this is another one of those cheesy Hollywood blockbusters that portray men in the usual cliche of emasculated men that are seduced by the usual nymphomaniac temptress!’ How wrong I was!!! The film starts off with this eternal idiotic stereotyping of gender roles, whereby men are eunuchs who fall victim of sexually aggressive women (from where the unfortunate choice was made to take the trailer!), but then quickly develops into a beautiful story of real friendship, self-disovery, coming of age and deep affection, conducted with great sensitivity by the Ukranian-born director. Together with ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, the best film starring Jenniffer Lawrence.

I loved this movie. In a world that seems to be going crazy at times, this movie was much wanted light relief. I would definitely watch it again for pure enjoyment and escapism value.

Not bad. Jennifer as always was superb, great acting and Looking lovely.
Lead male character is very annoying,I know it’s a film but he is annoying to the extent is dampers the film slightly

A super fun movie with a heart-warming ending.
Jennifer Lawrence is fantastic in it, she is such a great comedy actress.
An easy watch when you need cheering up on a cold winter’s evening!

I think it depends on your humour, this film was like something ftom the 80s early 90s. some bits of the film were very awkward and not necessary, other bits of the film I laughed loads.

Jennifer Lawrence was brilliant. It’s remarkable how versatile this actor is. She can seamlessly switch from acting in a serious drama, an action movie to a Romcom. What a talent ! She made the movie entertaining. SHE ‘MADE’ THE MOVIE. The young actor that played the 16 year old was VERY good too. He captured the emotions of a teenager extremely well. The story line was okay to good but you could hardly say it was brilliant. Production and direction were both good in my opinion although it must be easy to work with Jennifer Lawrence. I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end and I’m not easily pleased.

This film was extremely funny! The scenes were carefully done and I must say I really enjoyed watching this film. I’d recommend anyone who loves a bit of romance and comedy to watch “No Hard Feelings.”

My favourite part is the piano version of the song Maneater in the middle of the film. To see how both of their feelings changed throughout the song was mesmerising.
It started as a Comedy, but ended up as much more of a Romance.
    This is an excellent film.

Really enjoyed a film where something or someone isn’t blown up or murdered. Good fun reminded me of the classic Film “Weird Science”, trying to bring a school geek out of his shell. Some really funny bits.

In the tradition of 80s teen comedies like “Can’t buy me love”. Fun and heartwarming with some real growth in more than one of the main characters. worth a watch.
