Had to say i was dubious ordering these to hold down a marquee on our gravel yard… But was i needn’t have worried these did thr job perfectly and held it down in unexpected high winds, great buy very happy.

I have been using these for improvised shades in my own garden. I attach large sheets to trees or wall or shed and the other side to the ground, or attach weight to it. These ground pegs have been useful and working well for me every time I set on of these shades up. Not sure if these are good enough for prolonged repeated real camping use, but for occasional use they have been fine for the price.

These exceptionally study pegs, They come with a plastic retaining clip that helps to hold the guy rope in place. Normally these kind of pegs come with the o rings, the help to hold the retaining clip in place. These seem to lack these, which does mean that the retaining clip could fall down the shaft of the peg. That said, they held the pig securely in the ground and the guy up didn’t move during use. These are particularly good for harder ground, but are equally fine if the ground is softer. If you’re looking for a small compact set of sturdy tent pegs, these would certainly suit you as the box will easily fit and store with your tent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well made steel pegs, certainly hold well.

This is just what we’ve been after for the times when we pitch our caravan and either the ground is rock solid or it’s a grass and gravel pitch, meaning that invariably at least some of the awning pegs need to go in the gravel.
I’ve lost count of the amount of pegs we’ve bent in the past this way, so really wanted some heavy duty ones that would cope.

These pegs come in a sturdy plastic case with snap closures, which is great so as not to get the pegs scattering everywhere in one of the caravan lockers or getting them mixed up with normal pegs and then spending an age sifting through to find the right ones.

There’s 20 pegs in the set each at 20 cm long, with durable plastic heads that fit on the top and able to take more force when being hit into the ground compared to plain metal ones.
At 6 mm gauge steel, they are heavy duty and can withstand more force and resistance from the hard ground.

We’ve tried a few so far and they have worked really well, so I have high hopes that they will stay the distance when we go on our annual road trip this summer.
So far so good and made by a company who manufactures awnings is also a good indication that they will be up to the job.

13 (at time of review) for 20 good quality and strong pegs is an excellent price and will save lots of time and effort, not to mention having to constantly chuck away bent pegs. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and does the job

These tent pegs are so much stronger and durable than those which came with my new tent.

They arrive in a nice plastic case and all you have to do is place the plastic top over the end of each nail-like peg.
I’ve used these on seriously firm camp sites and they’ve worked really well.
I hammer them in with a rubber mallet and remove them with a proper hook-like removal tool.
Using the correct tools for the job helps prevent bending them.
I did manage to bend one when I hit a big stone, but I straightened it out using a vice and its been fine since.

At 13.99 they’re half the price of some similar pegs from bigger brands so value for money is excellent.

I hope you find my review helpful.

These are 20 thick metal poles, which then have to be fed through the plastic head pieces. These hammer into the ground easily with no bending so far- will be used to replace the rubbish pegs that came with the tent. My only concern is that the plastic doesnt look as strong and whether with time these will break, essentially making them useless as they will be impossible to remove. I have some other strong pegs where the metal peg has an integrated metal top that is better and easier to pull up.

These tent pegs are essentially 20cm long 6mm steel nails with a plastic piece you put on them.
They make short work of hard ground, but I’m not sure the plastic would weather a storm. I’ll hopefully never find out of course.
We stayed for a weekend and the recent hot weather had baked the ground, it was solid, bent a couple of our normal tent pegs, these things just smashed straight in.

20 pegs means we’ve got spares should we manage to damage any.

They come in a good plastic case too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality pegs

The poles do not need hammered in ground so no muddy poles in the van the awning its self offer privacy when sitting while the window cover can never rolled be rolled up so you can see the kids or just be nosey all in all I am happy with the wind break and would recommend buying one

I am already a convert to theses nail style pegs having already got some (the green head one in the photo) and they are great! I have quite a few big canvas awnings/bell tents that go camping with us and they have been brilliant at hanging up and keeping up many meters of awnings. This offering is not quite as long as my originals at 8 inches but will still be fine for the bell tent.
As an example we have about 2 inches of topsoil in our back garden which is covering a load of hardcore that the previous owners buried after renovating the house… Thanks… But with a small metal mallet these tap though it no problems unlike any other type of peg we have tried. They need to be assembled but it only took a minute and pretty well priced too with a handy carry case. Already a convert, but they are great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for hard ground!

I got these to secure my pop-up gazebo to the ground as I found that the pegs supplied with it were a little on the soft side and tended to buckle when tapped into soft surfaces like my lawn.

No such problems with these! They’re essentially bloomin’ big nails with plastic hooks you need to slide the nail through to secure them in position. Once hammered in, they sit nice and snugly against the ground and grip the guy ropes very well. They didn’t buckle or warp at all and look as good as new. Removal is easy using a sturdy slotted head screwdriver to prise them up from the ground.

This seems like good value for a set of 20 pegs supplied in a hard case for easy storage and transportation and I’d happily recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value, nice and sturdy and easy to remove.

    Pegs

You get 20 heavy duty ground pegs and a storage case.

The case is sturdy ( 21.5*14* 5cm) with plenty of space for additional pegs or the odd guy rope, – it closes with two plastic clasps.

The pegs are heavy duty (weight 40g per peg) which have a plastic two sided head that slides on. Pegs are 19.5cm long (close enough to the listing 20cm).

Great where you need plenty of strength and don’t want your peg to bend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great case, pegs are sturdy

Ok for general use, but no features that makes these any sturdier or stronger for ‘hard ground’
If you’re camping on dubious terrain, you’d be better off buying a well known product.
But these are ok for general use or spares.

This is solid and seems sturdy, hopefully will last long. Like that it came with a case for storage and safe keeping. The price is not too bad for me.

These arrive in a set of 20 pegs with their plastic top-hooks supplied ready to fit (they just slide onto the metal pegs). They come in a very neat and compact plastic storage/carry box, which helps keep any wet or muddy pegs away from your other outdoor equipment.
In use, I tested the pegs for securing a large camping awning into very hard, stony ground. On this type of ground, the ‘normal’ thin metal ground pegs simply bend or collapse if they hit a rock when being hammered into the surface…. NOT SO with these pegs ! I found I was able to hammer these pegs in using a really heavy geological hammer – and the pegs simply pushed hidden rocks and stones aside in the ground. Also, once in place, the pegs stayed solidly fixed – even after a couple of bad squalls with high winds and rain.
If you need to upgrade thin or weak ground pegs for any sort of tent or awning use in poor, rocky soils, these pegs ‘tick all the boxes’ and provide strong, safe holding. The plastic carry-box is an excellent addition and the whole set provides really good value.
