This game is so much fun! It came perfectly fine and it is a lot of fun playing with friends or even just on your own and I find that hard to find games that I enjoy to play on my own. But this one? I’ve been playing it non stop on my own and with friends when they are free. They love it too!
I’m loving my time with PAYDAY 3 now that the Devs have fixed the server issues that sadly plagued the launch.
For me, the added focus on stealth is where this game really shines and starts to build upon the previous entry. Casing mode has been vastly improved and adds a whole new angle to heists. The gameplay is smooth and there are many welcome additions.
My biggest gripe (and only gripe really), is the current levelling system. You only gain XP from completing predetermined challenges, and getting 0 XP for completing a heist on OVERKILL difficulty just seems harsh. Although I’m banking on this system being changed/overhauled in future updates .
The Devs have been really forthcoming on Twitter/X over the past few weeks, and haven’t left the community in the dark (like with some other games in recent times), it’s clear that they’re passionate about their game. PAYDAY 3 will only continue to improve, and at 34.99, I think it’s an absolute steal.
I currently have about 30 hours of gameplay on PS5.
After a poor release day this game is truly flourishing now. Granted there is an issue with players on PlayStation obtaining their pre order or edition exclusive items but Starbreeze are fixing this.
The only issue I have with the game is the leveling system, however the overall experience is amazing. The base game hesits are the best starting maps we have received across all three games. All other reviews currently here on Amazon are way too harsh, all items that have been complained about are being worked on or have been fixed. The servers are now working and the cosmetics should be available tomorrow.
One thing people need to remember is Payday 2 was two separate games one on consoles and another on PC, they underestimated their need for a bigger server capacity as they were basing the user base on a shoddy PS4 Payday 2 and a perfect Paday 2 PC. Due to this their servers weren’t overly busy, but now it’s the same game across all platforms so many people wanna play it which caused the issue.
As a whole though, this game is worth it and is extremely enjoyable.
