Portable Air Conditioner 7000 BTU Air Conditioning Unit
Portable Air Conditioner 7000 BTU Air Conditioning Unit with 4-in-1 Function, Air Cooling, Ventilation, Dehumidifying and Sleep Mode with 24H Timer, Window Venting Kit Included – Portable AC Uni
The air conditioner requires being vented outside so that the exhaust air can escape the room which coming from the appliance contains waste heat and moisture.
Do not replace or extend exhaust hose which will result in decrease defficiency, even worse shut down the unit due to low back pressure.
- Step 1: Connect the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose.
- Step 2: Connect the windows kit adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose.
- step 3: Extend the adjustable window kit the length of your window.
Connect the exhaust hose to the window kit (Adjustable range: 0.6m-1.2m(23.6″-47.2″)).
- Step 4:Close your window to secure the kit in place. It needs to hold the windows kit firmly in place, secure the window kit with duct tape if required. It is recommended that the gap between the adapter and the sides of the window should be sealed off for maximum efficiency.S
- tep 5: Attach the hose connector to the exhaust air outlet of unit.S
- tep 6: Adjusting the length of the flexible exhaust hose, and avoid bends in the hose. Then place AC near an electrical outlet. Adjust the louver at the air outlet, and then switch on the unit.
I bought this Air Conditioner last week for my Home office.I have not tried it out fully yet due to only being March but I am already very impressed with this. The packaging is very well made to ensure nothing is broken in transit. It just comes out of the box and all you need to do it attach the vent hose to the back with a slide on clip. This is very handy for storage too as it just slides off at the rail. The unit itself is small and compact which makes it very easy to wheel around the house / flat. However don’t be underestimated by the size of to the power it has to cool. In a few seconds of turning it on and hearing the unit start up you can almost instantly feel the cooler air hitting you and the warmer air being vented out. In a few minutes it really is very cool and you can start to feel the difference it is making. It has two speed settings which are both powerful, Sleep function which is very good as the speed turns right down to ensure you are kept cool but no disturbed as well as a dehumidifier and a general fan.
Overall very happy with this and I look forward to using it fully in summer.
I was very impressed when I open the box and got to see for what I was paid !
Looks very nice and good Quality if you put a Bach of a very good Brand you believe it’s the high Quality . I have tested and working everything perfectly dos what’s should be.
I’m particularly very Satisfied and I will recommend to anyone who suffers from high condescension in the house and when it’s hot summer in UK and Ireland must of the houses we are not prepared to hot summers. I think it’s a great solution for you have a great night sleep .
The air conditioner bit works really well but because the instructions suck, I cannot figure out if it needs draining while in this mode. It does when using the dehumidifier setting, but it doesn’t drain into an internal removable tank which would seem very logical and convenient. I also bought this one partially because of the “sleep” mode but don’t use it because it doesn’t seem to be any different from the “standard” mode.
Overall it’s good but I wish instructions for things like this weren’t always so bad
This is only really good for one small room like a bedroom or something like that, it will not cool down a whole floor or house so keep your expectations small. But for us we just keep it on at night in the bedroom before we go to bed and I can tell you it cools down the room to a lovely temperature when the rest of the house is absolutely boiling. This has been perfect for those hot nights when it’s hard to sleep. So much so that I was banished out of the room it’s in as my lad was to warm in his room and wanted to sleep in the cool room. You wouldn’t want to try and sleep with it running all night as it’s quite noisy so we just turn it off before we go to sleep. The pipe that it comes with is not great for fitting to the majority of windows in the UK. They really could do with rethinking the attachment that it comes with. We just jam it in the window and it seems to work OK but does have a tendency to pop out if you’re not careful. It’s easy to operate and has various other functions but we’ve only really used it as an aircon unit.
Overall it’s nice and compact and does a great job of cooling down a room. I can recommend it if you are after something like it.
After doing my research this air conditioner unit came out top trumps! I was skeptical buying something that costs quite a lot however took the plunge and I am so glad I did! Within minuets my room temp has come down from 27.4 to 23.2!! I’m not one to usually write a review however really feel this product is worth it. Would definitely recommend!
We purchased a Dyson fan last year under the misguided notion that it would, in fact, “cool the air around you”. It does not cool the air at all, it is a fan, a pretty stylish one, but a fan and that is all. This year, I purchased this unit and I wish I had bought two of these in the first place instead of the Dyson!
I have, so far, only used the air cooling function on it and it really does bring down the temperature of the room. Yes, it is a little noisy while it is on, but honestly, I can tolerate a little noise when it’s cooling me down. The four stars were given as attaching it to a window kit can be a little bit of a faff, as the hose can come loose and the attachment can slide out of the back of the unit(a very minor complaint, but when you’re very hot, everything is ten times more irritating!!).
You absolutely need a window kit with this one, you will need to purchase a universal one. Most of these units seem to be designed more for the EU market with sliding windows but you can easily find a reasonably priced one here at Amazon.
I was really struggling in the attic room during summer and during last years heatwave the room reached 36 degrees at one point. I couldn’t afford to spend a fortune so I went for a lower budget air con unit and it was definitely worth it! My attic room was fully out of commission for most of the summer last year but this unit does a great job of lowering the temperature.
The only thing I will say is that the remote stopped working after a week or two, I’ve changed the batteries multiple times but can’t get it to work.
It’s also fairly heavy so I wouldn’t recommend if you are wanting to move it up and down stairs. The wheels make it easy to move between rooms without having to pick it up
Purchased this AC to beat the hot weather but did not expect to be emptying water from the unit multiple times a day. I’ve experienced a different unit that runs without having to drain anything so I’m not sure why that’s the case.
It’s a learning curve when trying to drain the water out without getting it all on the floor but I found that using something stable to elevate it a few inches then letting it drain into a bowl below it works great. I would like to leave the bowl there to prevent having to constantly empty it but I feel like that will result in an overflowing bowl.
UPDATE: I currently have the unit propped up with a height adjuster from Amazon and a bowl at the bottom to catch the water. It no longer drains as much water as it used to and I have yet to empty the bowl now which is great. So now I’m enjoying cool breeze without the hassle of lifting a heavy unit every few hours 🙂
Cooling wise this is great. We have a three story house with a bedroom on the top floor. When it’s hot it’s pretty unbearable up there and this unit does a great job of keeping the room cool.
Easy to set up. Simply place close to a window attach the hose to the connectors. We have hinged window so unfortunately the window connector included wasn’t suitable so we had to purchase a window kit suitable for our windows. The one included is suitable for sliding/sash windows.
I found the operating sound loud and personally would struggle to sleep with this turned on.
Overall a reasonably priced air conditioner.
I manged to pick this unit up for 270 Inc discount. Has been so worth the money.
Works well and easy to setup. Easy to sleep with the level of noise. Great for cooling one room but don’t expect it to cool and whole floor of the house.
With such a selection to choose from it was a bit difficult to choose. I ended up getting this and I’m super happy with it. There are alot of negative reviews about the noise but to be honest it is noisy but I wasn’t expecting it to be silent. It cools a room very fast and effeciently. Set up was easy. The only this I wasn’t sure about was weather to attach the drain hose or not. There was no installation info about the water drain hose.
The Portable Air Conditioner 9000 BTU is a reliable and versatile cooling solution that provides efficient climate control in various indoor spaces. With its 4-in-1 functionality, including air cooling, ventilation, dehumidification, and sleep mode, this portable AC unit offers a comprehensive solution to keep you comfortable throughout the year. Boasting a range of features, including a 24-hour timer and window venting kit, this energy-efficient device ensures optimal performance and convenience.
The standout feature of the Portable Air Conditioner 9000 BTU is its powerful cooling capability. With a cooling capacity of 9000 BTU, this unit effectively cools small to medium-sized rooms, providing relief during hot summer days. The adjustable temperature settings allow you to customize your cooling experience according to your preference, ensuring a comfortable environment regardless of the external temperature. The sleep mode adjusts the temperature and fan speed to create a quieter and more comfortable sleeping environment, promoting a restful night’s sleep.
While the Portable Air Conditioner 9000 BTU offers impressive cooling and functionality, it’s important to consider the size and capacity of the unit to ensure it suits your specific needs. For larger rooms or spaces with high heat loads, a higher BTU rating may be required for optimal cooling performance.
The Portable Air Conditioner 7000 BTU is a fantastic addition to beat the heat and create a fun atmosphere during hot summer days! With its 4-in-1 functionality, including air cooling, ventilation, dehumidifying, and sleep mode, it provides versatile comfort for any situation. However, I must mention that using the included window vent on my windows required purchasing an additional attachment, which set me back an extra 25. This additional expense for a different window fitting might be common for UK users, so keep that in mind.
Once set up properly, this portable air conditioner performs admirably. It quickly cools down the room and provides refreshing airflow with its ventilation mode. The dehumidifying function works efficiently, ensuring a pleasant and dry atmosphere even in humid conditions. The sleep mode is a real treat, allowing for restful nights without any disturbances.
While this portable air conditioner offers exceptional functionality, I must admit that the price tag is a bit on the higher side compared to similar models in the market. There are other options available that offer similar features at slightly more competitive prices. However, the reliability and convenience provided by this unit make it a solid choice if you’re willing to invest a little extra.
Overall, the Portable Air Conditioner 7000 BTU is a fun and effective cooling solution that brings relief on sweltering days. Just be aware that you may need to purchase an additional window fitting for UK windows, adding to the overall cost. Despite the slightly higher price and the availability of similar alternatives, this portable air conditioner delivers on its promises and ensures a cool and enjoyable environment. Keep your cool and enjoy the fun with this versatile air conditioning unit!
Definitely got this at the right time of year – the UK is so warm right now!
However, I couldn’t believe that it didn’t say anywhere what the wattage of this air con unit is when I first got it. Nowhere on the product page or in the manual. It is however on the unit itself and states 2.6kW. The page has been updated since using it and now says it’s 2600kW – that would turn off the whole power on the street, and some! They obviously mean 2600W (which is 2.6kW). So, if it’s roughly 33p per kWh, on max power it would be about 86p per hour – that all adds up very quickly, so going forward I’ll be using this sparingly on really hot days and definitely not all day, especially since we’re in a cost of living crisis. The unit itself isn’t cheap either.
Having said that, it’s portable in the sense it has wheels which makes it easier to move from room to room, however, the unit is heavy (the box says 27kg, which is bottom heavy), so picking it up can be an issue if you’re petite like me – there’s no way I could carry this up the stairs, this is a 2 person job.
It comes with a window adaptor kit so it saves you from having to find one depending on your window type, although it isn’t universal, so you might have to fiddle with it to get it in the right place. It’s quite loud so you’ll need to turn your TV/music etc up to try and drown it out, but it does an amazing job at cooling our living room down which faces the sun during the morning to late afternoon. It comes with a remote which is handy so you don’t have to keep getting up to change the settings.
This AC unit is 4 in 1 – air con, dehumidifier, ventilation and has a sleep mode. There’s also a low and high speed setting, as well as arrows to change the temperature, a timer and a lock button. It’s a great AC unit overall, but the cost to run is something to consider.
We were a little sceptical that this would make any real difference in the current hot weather.
Well it arrived very quickly, very well packaged, unpacked the unit, let it stand for 24 hours as per instructions.
Set up the vent hose this morning, which isn’t designed for side opening windows but it actually is adaptable , connected venting hose to unit and then powered up the unit.
Well it works brilliantly, very easy to operate, set temperature to 16C, kitchen dinner has cooled down very quickly. With fan on full speed it is not the quietest of units but for the price it’s a great unit.
I’m hoping it’s longevity is good, it is very well made, and is smaller than I thought.
When this arrived I was worried and surprised at the size of the box and wondered where on earth it was going to fit!
However once it was removed from its packaging, which by the way is a two person job as it is heavy to be able to lift up and out of the tall box, it actually was a more compact and manageable size. You also have the vent tube with two attachments as well as a remote which I was surprised to find you didn’t have batteries included which with the RRp being over 300 I would expect to at least have a couple of batteries included.
Now the problem is with this unit is it is designed to be used in a room with sliding windows, I don’t know anyone nowdays who have sliding windows so I am not sure how popular this is going to be. I have traditional push windows and tried this unit with the pipe hanging out the window and I could still feel a difference both in the room cooling down and also when putting my hand by the outside pipe feeling the hot air being removed.
It is easy to use and has three modes with Fan, Cooler and Dehumidifier options along with speed and temperature controls too.
I do think this is quite loud and definitely can’t sleep with it going, I even struggled to hear the TV over it but I am in a small room so others in larger rooms may not find this an issue.
This is energy rated A and I was pleasantly surprised to look at my smart meter and see it only cost 4p and hour for me to run so this is definitely a bonus.
As you can probably tell I have mixed opinions on this, if you are in a bigger house with sliding windows then pay the price and you will be very pleased if you have traditional push windows and live in a smaller house then you may be disappointed with paying the hefty price for the issues you will encounter.
This is such a powerful and efficient ‘portable’ air conditioner! It has four functions (air cooling, ventilation, dehumidifying and sleep mode) with a 24 hour timer. It cools the room within minutes and makes working out nearby a breeze! The design is great as well, comes with a remote, so easy to control and change the setting without needing to approach it. All is great about this air conditioner. Except (!!!) the portability is limited by placing it near a sliding window and unfortunately it doesn’t come with a fitting for a ’tilt and turn’ window (I expect the majority of the UK windows are ’tilt and turn’ ones). Hence a star less. I am loving this air conditioner nonetheless, but now I am on the lookout for an adjustment for my window (it would have been so much easier if this was supplied along with the air conditioner). I am definitely keeping it and will be using it loads (once I figure out how to fit the exhaust hose through my window). Cooling within minutes, all you can ask for really (once you block the hot air coming through the window)!
