This is a great keyboard I bought to replace a logitech one which gave up. I much prefer it to any other branded keyboard I’ve used. The gaming mode is useful it disables the windows and menu keys. The software is quite good if that is something you will install to customise the lights.

I have two minor issues, the wrist wrest has no way of locking to the keyboard and it makes it awkward if you move your keyboard a lot. I just use it without it.

The key caps on W, A S and D have also worn a bit after only a couple of weeks use (only gaming and typing for a few hours a day on average.)

I wasn’t expecting great things of this keyboard, as these days 30 is pretty cheap. I actively wanted membrane though as I’m not a fan of really clicky microswitch keyboards, fun as they are. Having got it set up I would say that in essence this is a good keyboard with nice keys, spacing and the usual buttons without anything extraneous apart from the backlighting, which is actually useful as well as pretty. Ergonomics are great for me, with the wristrest being a good height and nice texture.

Minor gripes would be a)it’s not silent – it sounds like a quiet mechanical keyboard and it’s certainly a lot louder than a non-gaming keyboard like my old low-profile Microsoft one. b) the wrist rest does not attach to the keyboard in any way, which isn’t the end of the world, and in some ways is quite handy, but I feel like a couple of magnets would have made this work better.

In case anyone’s interested I didn’t bother installing the Razer software because I don’t need macros and I can control the lighting with SignalRGB – so if you have RGB control coming from somewhere else you can dodge the bloatware.

I don’t do many reviews but this I felt like I needed to, honestly the best quality keyboard I’ve had, for the price it’s 10/10, highly recommend this keyboard for any gamer! The buttons are very smooth, great feel to it and I love the colour changing schemes you can have for it.

Really good quality, just plug and play. But you need the software to change the lighting and bindings. Feels like my old machanical keyboard but without the noise of one.

I love Razer precisely because of the quality, devices serve a good and long service. I have been using this keyboard for 5 months, it has already been flooded with water twice, and it is still in excellent condition. The only thing is that the paint on the keys begins to wear off from frequent use, but I do not consider this a big minus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality and durability.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this for myself for use with my gaming pc i have another razer mini keyboard which i love however i wanted a full-size keyboard for a few games but that was not going to break the bank, but that was the quantity i would expect. Enter Razer’s Ornata V3 Low Profile Mecha Membrane switches, which offers clicky keystrokes with a soft touch. It arrives in the normal branded Razer package shown

The Razer Ornata V3 is a decent gaming keyboard. It’s comfortable to use thanks to the ergonomic features and included wrist rest. You can also customize the RGB backlighting and program macros to any key using the companion software. The keyboard has dedicated media switches which are also backlit, the magnetic wrist rest is good and offers good support. The keyboard is Chroma RGB so can be controlled with the Razer software, as can be seen in the video.

However, the pre-travel distance on the mecha-membrane switches is somewhat long, so keypresses don’t feel instantaneous, the latency isn’t fast enough for competitive or reaction-based games, however is okay for casual gaming, and for what i use it for also, including typing this review.

Over all it’s a good good keyboard if your just starting out gaming at a good price with the normal Razer quality happy to recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a Cynosa V2. Typing is responsive and quiet; nice gentle resistance on the keys for a membrane keyboard and typing heavily isn’t loud enough to bother anyone else in the room. It’s a cheaper keyboard than the one I’m raplacing, but it feels very similar in tems of quality.

I’ve only gamed for an hour so I’ll update this review if needed, but so far no ghosting or issues with multiple or rapid key pressing.

The store pictures online of the Ornata V3 X are all of the US layout, as the image on the box, but this version is a UK layout. I’ve added a picture to this review for confirmation in case anyone is hesitant to buy on that basis.

There is only one lighting zone, so there is no custom lighting key by key. The lighting is bright on full and colour is adjustable all across the range. The white lighting is a good white, not an off-white like with many backlit devices.

There are no media keys, instead there are Fn-F shortcuts which suits me just fine. The periphery is narrow and inflexible. The wrist-wrest that comes with the keyboard is pretty flat so I’m switching it out for a padded one. It has a soft touch, but it’s more of a ramp than a support.
