It’s a great charging stand. I purchased it for my bf as his rechargable batteries were not very good. This one we have had a while and it keeps its charge well and charges quickly. It’s great value for money and works perfect.
Primarily bought this as it looks good and matches my controller, plus it’s a respected name which I always prefer when it comes to electronics and battery safety. Also love that they do matching colours for different controllers. Only thing missing is the ability to buy extra batteries/covers, maybe eventually they will offer it!
Slight issue when I first got it where it would charge normally but then show a rapidly flashing orange light, not mentioned in the instructions and support team were useless in assisting with. But after using the controller a bit, letting the battery die and charging up again, that seems to have stopped the flashing light and now works as normal, so maybe it’s just a calibration thing.
Love this charger, the battery life is incredible and saves a fortune on batteries. I find the charging light really useful, and the stand matches my controller perfectly. Great value product.

Perfectly colour matched to my controller. Battery replacement with supplied rechargeable one easy and once installed, sits perfectly on the stand. No fancy logos, just a simple red/white led charge indicator! Bought in January sale plus an Amazon supplied 5 voucher made this very good value gor money!!
I already had the PS5 version and when my xbox series x controller battery gave up i replaced it with, it arrives in the branded box shown, all the parts inside are well protected in foam on remains your meet with a well made durable charging stand (made too the normal razer standards) you have the usb – usb-c cable the battery and 2 chooses for the battery housing one for original xbox one controllers and one for new gen controllers. Both fitted really well.
Set up was easy spare usb port in my multi charger and charge it unit ready, install battery again simple and to be honest fits inside both types of controllers really well, back fitted without issue place controller onto charger and boom orange light once full charged the led light on the charger turns white.
Battery seems to last well i gave it a good gaming session nearly all night and battery lasted well.
Over all a brand that is known for quality im happy to recommend
Today’s controllers are extremely power hungry. Maybe it’s the vibrations or some other factor–regardless, controllers today consume power faster than older iterations. Store bought AA batteries are thus a poor option. I used to go through a 6 pack of AA batteries every week! I realized I was losing a lot of money on battery purchases. Plus I was hurting the environment by using and disposing so many batteries.
The Razer Charging Stand gives consumers a hassle-free and eco-friendly option for powering controllers. The stand is compact, looks cute and is a great addition to your gaming setup if you have one. I have been using this stand for months now and it is truly plug it and forget it. The charging stand does its job and has given me no troubles so far.
There are two negatives that I would note with this charging stand. The first is the controller battery that comes with the product. This battery is custom made and cannot be found easily on the market. It is not easily replaceable in other words. This obsolescence by design on Razer’s part is unfair to the consumer. It reduces the shelf of the charging stand. (Side note: this seems to be a feature for almost all Razer products. If the battery dies, the product dies as well.)
The second con is that the stand is more expensive than its competitors. For example, you can get the XBOX Play and Charge Kit V2 (TYPE-C) for just INR 2100 or so. That’s half the price compared to this charging stand! Come to think of it: this stand is almost as expensive as an Xbox controller itself. This price factor may give some gamers pause.
Is the stand worth it at its price tag and with the irreplaceable battery? That depends. If you’re very budget-conscious, the the answer is no. There are cheaper options out there. If money is no object and/or you’re a Razer products fan, the answer is yes. The price tag is, after all, “on-brand” for Razer lol.
Edit 11.15.2022: this section is for assessing the product’s durability. As of this date, the charging stand is still working for me. If the product lasts 2.5 years beyond the date of purchase, I would say this product is worth its 5 star rating.
Edit 3.19.2024: this section is for assessing the product’s durability. As of this date, the charging stand is still working for me. The charging clips are quite flimsy; one of them got bent. I thought this product was damaged for good. Luckily I got it fixed and now it’s working again! Have saved a lot by not buying rechargeable batteries all the time!
Good quality build and looks great with the 20 year Ann. Controller. Some folks said it doesn’t sit flush with the controller, not in my case it’s perfect. This are hard to get now, if you see it available order it.
Pros:
– Colour / texture matches controller perfectly
– Minimalist design looks great on my desk, no ugly logos etc.
– Pad on the bottom reduces friction, avoiding any sliding when the controller is placed in
– Very easy to pick controller up & place it
Cons:
– Bit expensive
– No option to turn off LED when fully charged, although it is luckily very dim
Overall this is a great purchase if you have a single controller, and want something that looks simple but looks sleek!
