If you’re considering these it’s probably because you’ve heard great things, well I promise you they are perfect. I’ve gone through maybe 4 headsets in the past two years (cheap Best Buy) and finally went looking for higher quality ones and these are it. The sound is great, no complaints. I could recommend maybe better base? I’ll be honest, I sometimes pull out the mic and use these for music on my iPhone while I’m working on my laptop. They are lightweight and very comfortable. I have used these for maybe about two weeks (2 hrs a day) and they are still at 90% battery life . If you’re on switch I recommend pairing these with the 8BitDo wireless controller they will not disappoint. Plus look at that aesthetic haha. Soo good guys really.
They are relatively lightweight which makes them easy to toss in your bag. I use them at work to listen to music. I have not used the microphone yet, so I cannot speak to that. Good value.
Sync up separately the mic and the ear phones. Great sound for gaming, even better sound for calls like Zoom or Teams. Mic detaches for when you just need them for listening, and they feel great after hours of use!
My son wanted a gaming headset with mic so he could hear and talk when he played games with friends. This one fit the bill. It works well and he is pleased with it.
My son has several other Red Dragon accessories so we thought we’d give these headphones a try. They are super light and the sound quality is good and what you’d expect at this price point, which appears to be the low end in the H-series. We did have an issue with the mic volume level where his online friends could barely hear him no matter what settings changes he made. Possibly user error, but we are still looking for a fix. A USB C cable which I believe the listing states is included, was nowhere to be found in the box, so we’ll have to get one separately. Once we get our hands on one, we’ll test the mic over a wired connection to see if that helps.
I really like I can hook these up with Bluetooth or a USB dongle provided. I work from home and prefer to have music going between phone calls. With my job, my calls are all done on a softphone app on my computer and phone but to remain ‘professional’ I don’t use entertainment apps on my computer so if I am on my phone, I need something with a mic to talk on the phone when calls come in. The biggest delay I have, they aren’t overly compatible with the app my employer used for phones and I have to tell the app every time I get a call to put it through the headset but it works. They sound great and are pretty comfy but fitting them is a little hard because the ear cups are the only things that move but they dont press on the head to creat a good cupping to prevent outside noise from getting in but still some of the best over the eat headset I have had and the fact they are wireless is a super bonus.
These are fine gaming headphones, perhaps for a new gamer who is budget conscious.
The sound is good but not remarkable compared to higher-end gaming headsets. There isn’t the detail, which is sometimes important in incorporating audio cues into your game play. It just sounds a little flat. The bass is OK but the high and midrange feel a bit empty.
They are light and fit fine but it doesn’t feel as secure as they should be. They don’t seem as sound isolating or stable as they could be.
The microphone works well – voice is very intelligible and at a good volume. Fine for chatting with friends while gaming but not podcast quality by any means. But these are for gaming, so that is fine.
Overall these are an adequate low-cost entry-level set.
I’ve been using a Logitech G435 and this is comparable in price and quality. The H848 has noticeably better bass, and a clearer mic that doesn’t pick up my chair squeaking but it feels super loose. My head is on the larger size and it still doesn’t squeeze at all. The G435 is more comfortable but both work well with spatial audio and simulated 7.1 and battery life is great. Neither uses any extra software that causes connection failures, so that’s a plus over more expensive headsets.
I have been using other high-end name brand headphones for a very long time, but I’ve been looking for something that doesn’t hurt the ears but still has a decent sound quality to them. This headset fit exactly what I was looking for.
From a wireless perspective, I’ve now used it for a week+ worth of nightly gaming session. I can say the battery works easily 8+ hours. And, with the ability to be wired as well, there is no problem staying charged up if you game past that point. The cord is over 5′ long, which gives enough length for most setups with a front usb. **One note of disappointment is the charging. It isn’t obvious when its fully charged. The only light indicator simply goes off.
From a sound perspective, I’ve only had a couple minor seconds worth of static, and its very infrequent. I’m guessing some wireless interference of some sort, but it was over so quickly it didn’t have any significant effect to what I was listening to. Otherwise, the quality is quite good and it has a 7.1 surround “gaming” mode that gives a lot of depth to the sound. Positional audio appears to work well in this mode, if the game supports it.
For me, one of the most important aspects I liked about this headset was how lite it is, and the fact it doesn’t push up against my glasses and cause pain. This does originally feel like there is a gap at the bottom, but I believe the gap is simply less pressure at the bottom of the ears, not an actual gap, so there is no excess external noise because of it.
Overall, I’ve been happy with most Redragon products, and this is no exception. I would recommend.
What I liked was it was very much plug and play, sound quality was above avg for this value tier of headsets, I also like how lightweight they were and comfortable. However I will say these worked much better on PS5 over PC not sure if mic has any software but none I could find, while communicating people would mention I sounded funny, clear but muffled was how I was told. Overall decent headset at this range quality seems avg and should uphold normal usage.
It’s what I needed and was looking for in a headset. I like that you can connect it 3 different ways. 1 with cord, 2 Bluetooth and 3 dongle. So far using it with dongle as I needed a way to be wireless for work I have to many cords and my old headset the cord kept getting tangled. So this is just what I was looking for to avoid that issue. So it works pretty well one flaw I have noticed is that I hear static from time to time. Otherwise they are a nice headset sturdy and nice sleek cool looking style headset. Looking and hoping to be using them for a long time.
