It reacts well and sits in my hand beautifully. It’s got multiple different spots where the texture changes to signify a button or to give you a better grip and comfort. It functions beautifully and looks amazing.
All for a ridiculously good price. Very satisfied.

The RGB looks great, all the modes are nice! The mouse tracks well, and there is no blinding light on the bottom. The braided wire is sturdy, and the mouse has a nice weight to it. The app lets you set DPI to your liking, and the rapid fire key is great.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI thought the scroll wheel on my mouse gave up. Coincidentally, it was another Redragon SKU, the M601-3 Centrophorus. I began a restless search for a successor, one with improved aesthetics, functionality and a drive for longevity, but not financially gluttonous.

I scoured the internet, high and low, side to side, black and white and sometimes upside down and inside out. I researched all sorts of dragons, large and small, red and green and even green and red. I learned a great deal about this mythical creature. But in all honesty, none of them would fit on my desk. I doubt any of them would fin in my house. And if they did, did they evolve with an adequate DPI???

The search continued and several prospects from numerous brands emerged, but some seemed over engineered for my needs, others were too dull for my creative spirit, and yet others inadequate in all aspects despite their alluring price points. Many other brands were preposterously priced no matter WHAT the function. I was becoming weary.

There must be SOMETHING out there which actually exists outside of an imaginary, mythical, yet artistically prolific realm. My primary electronics purveyor did not possess the mouse that would electrify me. Nor did my primary pet shop……… What??? 😐

And yet again, Amazon had to entertain my propensity for acquiring appurtenances. And yet again…Amazon delivered. But this isn’t an endorsement for Amazon, no. Which is fantastic. And a great resource for random commodity stock, even for a minimalist like myself, who only buys things that are NECESSARY, not over buying, not over spending, just………

Right, the Dragon. Well, I searched Amazon…… 😉 ……and was greeted by a deluge of mouse choices… Choices for mice… Choice of mice…… Anyway, some came with tails, some without. I tend to stick to the wired kind because they have been, to date, more reliable and economical (no battery replacements or charging required). I sifted through the digital pile of mice and found this M612 Predator (Great film, by the way. Predator, 1987…The Terminator and Apollo Creed, hunting, or BEING hunted, rather, by a sadistic trophy collecting alien…… *thumbs up*)……

Right, the Dragon. So the M612 Predator filled the role I envisioned a mouse would fill. It has, let’s see, left click, right click. So far, so good. It has a scroll wheel. Nice touch. It has two more buttons on the left side for gamers (not fifty buttons, but a modest two) so I don’t feel overwhelmed as I age, what with dementia and arthritis setting in I wouldn’t remember what they all do OR click them if I did. And it has a rapid fire button at the edge of the left click button. Again, a gimmick for gamers but it could double as double click (see what I did ther?) for other applications/programs, giving the left click button some much needed respite.

Other than that, it feels great. Much like, what I imagine, a real life dragon would feel like as you caress its scales, which are sensitive to the touch but solidify your grip. It’s contours support your palm gently, yet vigorously. It’s not very heavy and glides on the mouse pad as if it were airborne, gliding the thermals towards the horizon of online wonders. It feels very responsive regardless of what it’s tasked with. Between downtime on War Thunder, or tedious Excel spreadsheet compositions I cannot complain.

And lastly, yes……… It breathes fire (RGB). Not too many lighting modes but again, as a minimalist, that’s perfectly fine. It looks elegant and ferocious. Ever see a dragon spewing red flames? That’s what you’ll get with the M612………if……if you set it to all red lighting…

After initial use, I actually purchased a second mouse for my daughter. Not only that, but once my M601 scroll wheel came back to life during use as a laptop mouse (unexpected turn of PC/laptop accesory developments) I set the Predator aside for future use once the M601 does finally succumb to a barrage of vehement clicking. I just don’t want to wear and tear it until I’M ready, OK??? But I am pleased to report that my daughter has been using her M612 since July of 2021 without any issues.

I highly recommend this mouse. It preforms better than expected and looks and feels great. It also has twice the DPI of the M601 which is more than enough. If only it could cook, I’d be in business.

I also highly recommend you watch Predator from 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers.

You won’t be disappointed with either.

I’m a cheapskate when it comes to gaming peripherals as I don’t have much time to actually play games anymore, but I needed a new mouse and so got this in a recent Prime Day sale.

It’s working great so far, and I love how smooth and precise it is! Feels really good in hand during use.

Was man hier an Leistung fuers Geld bekommt ist m.M.n unschlagbar.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI ordered this mouse today, and just received it this evening. The build quality is good and the RGB lights are bright. However, I will leave these topics for other reviewers.

My main focus in this review is the software, or seeming lack thereof. I bought this mouse because I use macros at work to make my life easier. When I opened the box, the so-called instructions did not mention the software. I had to do a Google search for the Redragon website. Once there, I went to the “Software” section, clicked on the icon for the M612 mouse, and chose to download the software.

I had forgotten about RAR compression, because it is no 1997, but wouldn’t you know it, the Redragon software came in .rar compression. I took a minute to install winRAR, which is free and simple. I think extracted the installation file, ran it, and the software was installed. The software is fairly self-explanatory. You can customize the function of every button, and there are a lot of options for customizing the mouse’s lighting. Overall, this is a pretty amazing mouse for the price.

If I had to find anything to complain about, I would like it to be a bit bigger. My mouse for home use is a Logitech G604, and it feels a bit bigger. It also has a bigger thumb rest, which I like a lot. However, that mouse is currently selling for $100, so it is not a fair comparison.

I am very happy with this purchase. If anything goes wrong, I’ll be back to provide an update.

A great gaming mouse easily the equal of many far more expensive ones. What lets it down is the software. The interface is a total disaster and the program is highly temperamental. Most of the time, it will not even launch. Would be great if the manufacturer could address this.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy primary usage is for work around programming, so as such I’m not going to utilise all the additional buttons however I really enjoyed the “rapid fire” button! It’s great and always fun to use. The mouse feels soldily built and it came with a bunch of stickers which are always fun even if you’re 30. The DPI switch button could be a slight bit better with the LED indicating what DPI you are in, it does that even now but naturally it flows away since the LEDs keep changing. Overall, definitely worth the price and a good mouse overall.

Been using this for a few months now and it has been flawless.
Nice weight to it unlike the cheap feeling ones.
The back and forward buttons on the side are amazing, couldn’t use a mouse without them now.
Also the extra button on the front is really helpful

Mouse is very accurate for the price point of gaming mice, great dpi control. Really nice rubberised finish providing lots of grip and nice weighted but not too heavy feel.
Rbg is nice and bright, the software is maybe slightly dated looking but the graphics do look good in it and everything is clearly laid out and very intuitive.
Only negative I’d have for the mouse is that the braided cable (kudos to red dragon) is a bit still and doesn’t want to bend as easy as you’d like for cable management.
Overall great all around mouse for gaming and everyday use.

Definitely a very good upgrade from an old mouse.

All the extra buttons and key bindings to them make it super useful for FPS games and fast-paced gameplay where you don’t have time to look at a keyboard.

Long durable cable and the ARGB is pretty cool as I keep mine on a deep purple to go with my aesthetic

5.0 out of 5 stars This has served me well
