Simple to understand the instructions and to assemble but had difficulty removing tubes off the old one and had to cut it.
No leak so far
Water looks and tastes pure
We have high water pressure and have had cheaper filters split. I’d rather go for branded init as the quality control will “hopefully” be better. I’ve used these for a couple of years and had no issues. Also worth mentioning, the water tastes fine.
I don’t change ours every six months as the door chimer suggests, but we don’t use much water or ice from the fridge. When Fitting you have to push the pipes in a long way with a hard push. On my first change it leaked and i called an engineer who taught us what to do. ( Me quite red faced afterwards ).
I good price.
One complaint .. Samsung has no recycling facility for these. They have to go to landfill which seems wasteful. Come on Samsung you can do better !
Locally our tapwater tastes awful and is full of chalk. The Samsung filter goes some way to mitigating this but the filter water doesn’t taste all that great in the end either. I’ve been finding the fridge demands a filter change every 3 to 6 months which becomes expensive. I’m starting to buy unbranded bottled filtered water which tastes much better and I think maybe works out cheaper.
once you’ve had a filter water dispenser on your fridge there is no going back… tap water tastes like some chemical concoction yuk..
keep your fridge dispensing the tasteless, odourless sky juice aplenty with this baby..
ok being honest I don’t change the filter every 6 months…. more like when I remember ( last one was two years).. couldn’t taste any difference TBH..
don’t forget to do the ‘pepsi challenge ‘ with the non believers..
Hard to have much to say about a water filter. The fridge tells me it’s time to replace it and I do. They don’t seem at all expensive for 6 months usage each. The water tastes really good and considerably better out of the fridge than the tap so I drink it all the time. I always buy the same Samsung filter that came with the fridge because I’m really happy with it and trust that it should be safe. Wouldn’t consider buying a cheaper alternative as I want to know the water I drink day in day out hasn’t been run through some dodgy knock off filter.
Bit fiddly to put on,with the red clips ,once you have run the water through its then sort on,tbh not the cheapest of products but you get what you pay for,and it last a good length of time
The last two filters I’ve used were from Pozzani. Though they appeared to work OK the last one failed and we had a hundred litres of water flooding the kitchen when we arrived home. Thankfully we were only gone for a short while. The cost will be a replacement floor as the oak one we have down at present is bowed from the water damage. The original Samsung filters have fail-safe connectors that tighten the more force that is exerted on them. The Pozanni ones require an insert within the pipe then tightened with a plastic nut. Despite having fitted it properly, the Pozanni one failed. We do have strong water pressure here and I know that when the Samsung ice-dispenser requires more water there is pressure surge. That said, the design benefits of the genuine Samsung filters are worth the extra cost for the peace of mind they bring. Don’t make the same COSTLY MISTAKE that I did for the sake of a few quid saving.
