A big box arrived with good packaging to ensure the SCAN Aurum Gaming PC inside was safe. Inside was a complete system and all the documentation to enable me to remove the internal packing and setup quickly. The quality assurance sheet let me know who had built the PC, when they’d done, and who had checked off all their work.
The Windows 11 configuration was quick and smooth and Steam was soon downloading. This was an opportunity to try out the lighting schemes in the case. The i9 and RTX 4060 worked flawlessly and gave Sea of Thieves a new lease of life.
Still looking for the promised Pen Drive in the box in case it is needed for recovery, but sure I’ve just missed it in all the excitement.
Easy install instructions and setup was nice and quick. Cross-referenced parts on PC Part Picker UK and it was cheaper! (7800X3D and 4070 Ti SUPER, 32mb RAM, 1Tb SSD)

Brilliant all round, I trusted the good reviews and I’m glad I did, communication and delivery was fantastic, it was all built and packaged and delivered impeccably well!! Instructions for unpacking and setting up were so easy I even helped my teenager with it!!
This is the 1st PC I have bought in years, I normally do my own builds. I have to say I am incredibly impressed. The packaging was excellent and the set up was entirety problem free. The hardware is excellent value all in all and I would certainly recommend, in fact my friend has ordered one. They will not be disappointed.
Been looking at getting a new pc for gaming and video editing. After lots of looking around i found this was the best build and price for my budget. Really pleased with it. The pc came very well packaged and was easy to set up and get running. The rgb light fans have a remote for changing the colours,pattern,brightness or just turn them off completly.
I bought this and it was delivered the day after (quicker than the 2 days expected). Plugged it in and was good to go – I’m blown away with the look and feel of the system. Everything is put together perfectly and I can’t think of anything to criticise!
If i need to buy another system at some point I’ll be coming back

I love this PC as it is very compact , and very fast and powerful , its can take all the usb-2 hardware I run on my MSFS 2020 flight simulator and with my Range of Saitek equipment , all on window-11 . and its great for any game .
And great for multi screen screen operation. At a very fare price for a I9 system.
I have used Scan before and was very confident in choosing the Aurum. This confidence paid off because the machine is proving to be outstanding value. It arrived quickly, and once again the effort Scan put into packaging and set-up instructions meant that everything was in pristine condition and we were up and running in no time. The gaming experience is fantastic and the PC looks amazing.
Delivery was very quick, the PC for the price is excellent. Looked online for days and for the price range this came on top.

I bought this to get into PC gaming properly (gave up trying to game on a 2021 Nitro 5 laptop & had been gaming on my PS5) and after looking around a lot, I was swayed by SCAN’s reviews/rep. Not just that but the spec to price & the payment options available made me take a punt. I am very glad I did!
The packaging is literally something to behold (think I could’ve dropped this out of my bedroom window and the pavement would be in worse shape than the computer… don’t try this though obviously).
It is a lot smaller as a unit than I expected but the fans haven’t had to get close to max at all, (guessing the AIO is a big help?) and I’ve even gave it a decent challenge by running the Nolvus V5 modlist for Skyrim (which turns the game into a massive 4k souls like remake) and it stays between between 60 – 110 FPS easily all settings maxed.
I would recommend not using fan Xpert in Armoury crate, figured out that’s why my chassis fans initially were stuck in turbo, turned it off, went into BIOS and set to ‘silent’, issue solved- straight 10/10 would highly recommend.
I got the 4070, I5-13400F AIO water-cooled with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and I’m honestly very happy with it.
The PC arrived the day after I ordered it. It was well packaged both outside and inside of the PC. There were helpful setup guides, as well as a box containing manuals, CDs etc. Setting it up was straightforward, following the quick setup guide included and so far I’ve had no problems. The only negatives is that there are a couple of scratches on the glass case at the front and that the PC is quite loud. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
We have bought this PC for our younger boy for Christmas.
Our older lad who also has a Ryzen/RTX combo (but somewhat older) did quite a bit of research on various sites as well as on Amazon and narrowed it down to a couple of options.
We decided to go with this option as the specification looked good for the price, and Scan have a good reputation.
Delivery was quick as the PC came the next day. The PC was very well protected with lots of packaging (as others have mentioned previously).
Once unpacked it was easy to assemble and had lots of information to help us set it up. Everything was fine with the build quality and the step-by-step instructions for set-up are extremely easy to follow and leaves no uncertainty.
I’m very happy with it, very solid and very decently priced for the specs, you could definitely do better on the specs building on your own for the same price but honestly if you can’t be bothered with doing it yourself, this is a fantastic deal.
The PC can withstand anything you throw at it and more, gets a little bit noisy even when I’m not gaming with the fans but with my headphones on I barely notice it most of the times as it is very quiet.
The packaging was absolutely brilliant, more padding than I’ve ever seen in my entire life, all the documents showing what was done and even some screenshots left behind to show what it’s capable of, can really tell the people behind it know how to treat their products so I wouldn’t really look anywhere else for a PC, I’d recommend it to my friends for sure!!
My only complaint is that there’s not much choice on a few of the components, in my case, I’d really like a 2TB disk and wouldn’t mind paying the difference but alas.
There’s also the fact that it was delivered one day before the scheduled delivery date and I wasn’t home, so it was picked up by a neighbor which is odd as for high value price usually that doesn’t happen, not sure why it was different here but it was a bit concerning but perhaps amazon was at fault on that.
If you’re on the fence, I’d choose this one though, 100%.
I recently got this PC and it’s been amazing. The speed is incredible, and games run super smooth, even on high settings. It’s also really quiet, which is a plus. The design is neat and fits well with my setup. Totally recommend it for anyone into gaming!
I got the i713700F with 32gb of ram and so far it is taking everything I throw at it on max settings.
Well I will start with saying this was an Awesome purchase start to finish. This is my first windows machine in over 25 years (strictly a Mac household) I left windows all that time ago as it was always a continuous process of build, tinker, fix it, get frustrated but wow things have moved on and honestly I’m glad once again to be purchasing from Scan. The PC is great spec for the money, extremely fast, and stunning to look at. I had two small issues that I rang Scan for on a Saturday, spoke to a very nice chap who answered both of my questions perfectly. So if you’re on the fence don’t be, you will love a 3XS PC from Scan.
I did quite a bit of research on various sites as well as on Amazon and narrowed it down to a couple of options. I decided to go with this one as the spec seemed good for the price and, I know Scan have a good reputation.
Delivery was quick and the PC was packed really well (as others have mentioned previously). Once unpacked it was easy to set up. I turned it on and went through the usual rigmarole of setting up Windows. Once complete I then found out that there was an issue with the WiFI card. It didn’t have a good signal – despite being next to my mesh WiFi adapter. As well as having a weak signal, it kept losing connection and installing Steam and various games was proving to be a problem.
I moved it into another room and set it up on my dining table. The same room as my router, so I thought the signal would improve. It didn’t. So I ran a network cable across the floor, plugged it in and it ran like a dream. I decided to take advantage of my WiFi 6 router and mesh set up, so ordered a replacement WiFi 6 card to replace the one fitted as standard.
My previous PC had 2 M.2 SSDs installed, so I thought I’d remove those and install them into this machine. That’s when I noticed problem number 2 – the installed motherboard only had the 1 (occupied) M.2 slot. So I looked around for an adapter so I could make use of my other drives – I have data on both that I don’t want to lose. I found this to be a problem, as the motherboard only has one PCIe x16 slot (which already contained the graphics card) and 2 PCIe x1 slots (1 of which contained the WiFi adapter). This has severely limited my options, as dual PCIe x1 NVMe adapters are not so common and most can’t take 2 drives (they’re fine for SATA M.2 drives, but not so much for NVMe). So I’m now looking at getting an external USB dual M.2 adapter – not ideal, but it’ll do at a push.
Sooo… (slight) negatives aside – how’s the PC?
It’s a beast. It’s very fast, runs like a dream and the build quality is second to none. There’s 32Gb of RAM and a 2Tb M.2 SSD installed, so plenty to handle the games I’ve installed. The RTX4070 can run everything I’ve thrown at it so far in ultra high settings and plays great. I’m looking forward to next week as I’m off work and will be spending a lot of time gaming!
I contacted Scan about the network adapter and they got back to me straight away. They told me that they fit a standard card to allow people to use WiFi if they need to. I told them I’d purchased a replacement and they offered to accept the one I removed as a return and said they’d refund me for it. I’d initially agreed to do this, but have since changed my mind as it’s not really worth the effort for a few quid – I’m more than happy with my purchase and they were super helpful.
Would I recommend this computer? Yes, it’s extremely well built, has all the muscle I need and is extremely fast. Despite my small setbacks (not everyone will have additional M.2 drives they need to install and I think the WiFi adapter may have been faulty) I’m more than happy with my purchase.
I’ll certainly purchase from Scan again in the future. Good PC, good price and great customer service!

Value for money is outstanding for this type of PC. I went for the Intel i7-13700F / RTX 4070 / 16GB RAM and so far it is exceeding expectations.

Like everyone else is saying the product came the next day and was extremely well protected.
Nothing a miss with the build quality and the step by step instructions for setup are extremely easy to follow and leaves no uncertainty.
In comparison to other similar systems this was the best priced with more storage. It has easily handled everything I have thrown at it from games like baldurs gate 3 to quick rendering times in blender.
Finally the rgb for the front and back fans have a button to cycle through different schemes and if you want you can turn them off by holding said button down.
All in all the build quality, warranty and ease of setup made this a pleasant experience and worth the extra little bit of money you could save by building this pc yourself.
Firstly, I was impressed by how quickly they delivered. I was then impressed by how well they packaged the item. There was padding in both the delivery box and inside the pc tower. Setup was a piece of cake.
I opted for the intel i7-13700 with the rtx 4070 and I have to say it is a beast. This setup easily handles mid-high tier gaming with a superultrawide monitor too. Noise is minimal and the lighting looks awesome.
Package arrived after a few phone calls to my local dpd centre which is pretty normal for me as they are always a pain in the arse in my area so no fault of Scan.The gaming pc came expertly packaged despite the dpd driver dropping the thing on my basement steps but thanks to the copious amount of padding it didn’t cause any problems other than a few tears in the main box.Enough about dpd and onto the excellent build quality of the rig,it far exceded what i was expecting with regard to the quality of parts and the watercooling was a nice bonus as was the fact it has its own power mode built into windows which i assume means it’s already been overclocked to some degree which is nice as i don’t really go near overclocking as i’ll probably blow it up if i tried.
I really can’t find a fault with this build,it runs like a train on everyday use so i’ve now just got to give it a go with some games which i’ll be doing very soon with Dying Light 2 to test it.Ok have just run dying light 2 on 2560/1440 on the highest settings and it’s buttery smooth i’m happy to say so this system is perfect for my needs just need to give starfield a go to really test it out.
Wish i had gone for the rtx 4070 but that’s my fault as i was smashed when i placed the order and didn’t pay much attention to the graphics card number but hey ho i’ll make do with the 4060 and avoid 4k as i think it may struggle a bit with that and i have an xbox series x and ps5 so 4k on my rig isn’t really something i was aiming for.
To summise i’d say if you want a very well built gaming rig i’d strongly recommend Scan as the build quality is second to none compared to some of the cowboy outfits on amazon who sell you a 1500 gaming rig and the graphics card fries after less than 2 months and the installed parts are no name junk,i will be reccomending Scan to anyone who’s after a fair priced Rig that is professionaly put together by people who know there stuff.
10/10 for packaging,build quality and the quality of components.
Just properly tested it out with Starfield on maximum settings and it ran perfectly,this rig just gets better and better with every game i throw at it.
Very happy with my purchase and was much cheaper than buying the components all separately.
A few key points:
– All the unused sata, psu cables etc were nicely boxed up in case you need them to add components at a later date
– Supplied with a usb recovery stick which is an awesome little extra (it was nicely stored on the inside of the case)
– Plenty of help and quick start guides for those that aren’t quite sure what they are doing
– There was an engineer checklist which was a nice little addition, makes it feel like that extra bit of care was used when putting it together.
The only negative thing I could comment on is that the fans seem to be quite blustery, it’s like a stop start windy noise that I’ve never had on a machine before. Will have to look into it to see what’s causing it, but is a very minor issue.
I looked around at pretty much every PC builder there is in the UK and decided the best all round PC maker was Scan. I ordered the PC, and it arrived the next day. It is absolutely everything I wanted in a gaming PC, fast, quiet and ran straight out of the box. My last PC was not a Scan PC the previous 2 had been Scan systems, I am glad to be back with a Scan build again!!
Delivery came as expected, and then the surprises started. I have never seen/received any item that is so well packed. Bubble wrap around everything, including inside the pc. Every item safe and secure! The build quality is fantastic and the set up was straight forward with excellent step by step guides. Starting up the pc led me to a new world. I had obviously been living in the stone age with my old pc. The pc has run every programme and game that I have tried with ease. Speed is excellent and the cooling fan is very quiet.
I have no problem recomending this pc and the Scan company to anyone looking for a new pc.

Things to note:
– There is no bluetooth – so you will need to buy a bluetooth 5.0 dongle.
– The fans always appear to be running at same speed – tried fan control in Armoury Crate but does not appear to help. Someone with technical experience can probably do more than my limited knowledge.
– The RGB fan lights appear to only be controllable via a button on the case and not via Aura Sync (again – someone with more knowledge…).
The good:
– Asus Mobo, Zotec GPU, 3200MHz RAM.
– Detailed paperwork, including a build and test report. They included every piece of paper that came with the components, along with every cable, screw, and all other bits.
– Proper packaging. DPD did a number on the external box, but the ton of air cushions protected the internal box. The PC was filled with smaller air cushions which kept everyhing in place.
– Nice work with the cables, I guess it wasn’t his first rig.
– Custom Win11 installer on a USB stick with Scan’s mods (i.e. power profile).
The bad:
– Windows 11 Home, but it’s not Scan’s fault. Debloat or reinstall with a cleaned image.
– RGB fans. And while you can change the color/pattern with a button, you can’t dim or turn off the lights. There are 4 of them (3 front, 1 back) and they are very bright.
– The fans are powered from a SATA connector and not connected to the motherboard for control. They run at 100% all the time which is what they’d do if you start any recent AAA title anyway… Luckily they aren’t that loud, but if you plan to do other stuf not just gaming than you should look into some fan controllers.
Yeah, those fans the only thing I can moan about, but hey, they are fine absolutely for this price point and they do cool the hot bits.
