This is a pretty amazing 3 in one sandwich maker the buttons to release the plates once you know hoe to (youtube vid helps here) then easy to do , doesnt take up much room on worktop

I have used the Sandwich and Grill plates so far, and they live up to what I need them to do. I do plan to use the waffle plates as well. I even did eggs in the Sandwich plates. I know it doesn’t say you can, I just wanted to try it, so I did. I left it just over, so not 100% how I like them, but would do it again, brush with a few drops of oil, to stop them sticking.

I buy Sourdough bread, and if they are very long slices then it will chop a slight amount off it you use the panini plates – not worth worrying about. I made Bacon butties in this with the panini plates, after the edges that needed to be trimmed, I just cut them in pieces, and they were totally adorable, even my dog left her bed with the smell of them, it’s got to be good if it smells that good. If your using normal standard loaf, then you will be fine with the Sandwich plates.

I wanted a sandwich toaster with removable plates but didn’t want to pay silly money. This option was in the Prime day offerings so a little cheaper.
It isn’t a robust as previous toaster and is a little on the cheap side. My first attempt saw cheese spew out of the back using the triangle plateswhich took forever to clean! A mix of too much cheese and bread too bigthe plate seems a little small. But I swapped the plates for the panini option and have never looked back! All toasties are now done on this, it’s quicker and no oozing! The plates wash fantastically well!
All in all, it does the job and was a decent price!

After purchasing I wrote a review that while accurate needs an extension after approximately a year:

An easy to use appliance that is easy to swap between grill, sandwich maker and waffles. And easy to clean as the plates come out. If you want 2 or 3 of these things investigate this product.

The extension: while approximately 1 year of use was excellent, for some reason, this device cracked while being loaded for toasties. The bread wasn’t super thick, or stale. But with a cracked case the device was no longer safe or usable and so was recycled. While good the build quality is not up to that of the breville devices some of which have interchangeable plates (if you buy them in the right order!) so my initial recommendation must, unfortunately, be revised.
