Super if not painfully bright and lightweight light table. Great for photos and USB port/power means I can use it anywhere. Simple button for on/off and brightness change.
I like the size of it and the brightness I used my mobile at first and the one of my cameras with a macro lens on a tripod think this is the best way for quality and then edited in photoshop thanks Amazon once agai
I needed an LED light panel to visualise my old 35mm negatives – and be able to photograph them using a macro lens. This panel has a good level of brightness and the illumination is even across the surface. The brightness can be easily adjusted. Its a very simple plug and play device. Not sure how it will last – but I am able to do my photography with it quite easily. It also makes sorting out negatives much easier and quicker than having to stare at them while holding them up to the window.
This “lightbox” exceeded my expectations for quality and design. It has worked flawlessly for viewing slides and negatives: light weight, variable lighting brightness, and a decent size viewing surface that is textured: negatives, etc. are held in position even when the unit is tilted somewhat for easier viewing. An effective, easy-to-use tool for viewing items that need to be backlit.
(I saw some reviews that were critical of the directions. The directions included are ALTERNATIVE to use with a downloadable app so you can process negatives for printing. It’s an added benefit, not a feature.)
I took thousands of 35mm slides before I went digital and I also have many 4×5 negatives that I shot during college. This viewer is a great way to preview and organize the slides and negatives before scanning and converting to digital. Definitely recommended!
This light now works great. It has clean and even light. It is larger the I needed and I’m getting to like this size better. It’s flatter than my old and looks great.
I gave it 4 stars because I don’t like the push button dimmer that scales up and down when you hold it. I don’t know why a dimmer is needed, but I’d like to see a more responsive switch for that function.
I purchased another brand but the light was too blue for copying slides so I returned it and purchased this one. It works very well especially if you make a mask to go around the slide so you don’t get light reflecting from the phone to the slide to the camera. It also worked really well for copying my grandfather’s larger negatives and glass plates.
Very bright and adjustable light source. Main use is viewing color slides. The manufacturer video has some good technical info as well as features on the unit. Most light sources are 10000 k (more blue in color temp). This unit is 5700 k which is daylight in color temperature. The Kodak light source is also 5700K. Normally I look at the reviews on Amazon. This didn’t have a review on Amazon so I took a chance based on the promo video.
