in my opinion the Cats and Dogs pack is a cute addition to the game but its very cashgrabby and should have been made into a pets pack with horses and cows etc like in the sims 3: pets
My partner bought this for me and I couldn’t get off. The gameplay is amazing and the price is even better.
So glad I have this add on for the sims 4.
This is easily the best expansion out of Sims 4! I’ve played almost every expansion up until Sims 4 and the pets is the focal point of the game (in my opinion). I love breeding different cats to see how the kittens turn out and seeing what dogs are adoptable. This is different from the previous pet expansions because: you can walk your dog, animals can run away, there’s raccoons, they can wake up your sim (unfortunately), you can cook them gourmet food, and most importantly you can become a vet and treat sick animals! You can buy or build your own vet clinic and examine sick animals- it’s like Sims 2 when you could run your own business and hire employees and interact with everything.
I love it so much and if you could only choose one expansion for the Sims 4 then I’d pick this. I got a copy for my sister too!
I may be only using this expansion. It’s a big change from the suburban default world, and a pleasant one. The characters are interesting and the apartments gorgeous. The festivals are fun too, lots of activities and fun stuff to try out. Plus it feels a bit more open-world, which many players may miss from Sims 3.
Only drawback: Apartments cannot be customised much apart from redecoration, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me.
Product advertised as a disk yet no disk was present – I have no issue with the product, haven’t played it yet but I’m sure it’s great. However I bought this and City Living off a different seller on here, both for the same price. Both were advertised as disks with an origin code. Received both expansion packs, however this Cats and Dogs was just a DVD case with the leaflet inside and a product code… no risk, whereas for the same price, the City Living came with a disk. Now it’s not an issue… there is literally no need for the disk, you only need the product code (no idea why they sell them as disks when you don’t even need it). But I feel a little cheated of my money, I paid for a disk and all I got was a plastic case and a piece of paper with a code on it (granted a disk is extremely cheap). Just think they should advertise it correctly.
My personal favourite part of sims is the house building. I spend hours and hours just building a house. But if i am actually going to play the game. I play this addition. Because sending your sim off to work and just seeing the timer speed up makes the game dull
Could be options of items for pets .
All around a good add on to the Sims 4 can’t wait to try more .
Code was so easy to use think case maybe a bit of waste but fun when looking what to play
Having bought Sims 3 and never really getting along with it, I returned a few years later to play it once again. I found (for some reason) I could enjoy it without the furstation I had with previous. However the sheer amount of expansions left me daunted so decided to start anew with Sims 4.
I found this game a lot more fun to play then Sims 3. Although there were features I missed, such as buying up part then full ready made business around the town.. and actually walking around the town. I missed the various shps and such you could visit (and buy) and find the buying via bookshelf or PC in the house a little too much of a short cut..I found the whole ‘house management’ side most pleasant and less frustating to play.
I have marked it down a star for these two missing features as it does make the game seem a little claustrophobic.
