TOPK Car Phone Holder, Magnetic Phone Car Mount, 2in1 Phone
TOPK Car Phone Holder, Magnetic Phone Car Mount, 2in1 Phone Holder for Car Air Vent Windshield and Dashboard, Upgrade Hook Clip, Adjustable Long Arm Mount with Strongest Magnet for Cellphones
Using this with iPhones in my partner’s car. She’d killed one of her vents with a vent style holder, so we decided this might be the better choice. So far so good: we’ve used it to hold phones on long drives to Cornwall and Wales over the summer. The base occasionally lifts away, so you have to watch for that, but the magnets hold well (we’ve put them loose inside the phone cases rather than actually sticking them to the cases or phones), and there’s plenty of scope to adjust the length and angle as needed. With a 3 voucher taking it to 12.99 at the time of writing, this holder is good value for money.
I can’t use vent holders in my car because the dashboard is too sloping. This has definitely done the job it’s very well built and tough.
I was surprised that the suction cup had an adhesive on it, however I did manage to remove and reposition it.
The magnet seems pretty strong, my phone hasn’t fallen off yet and it has quite a heavy bump case on it. The extension arm is a good idea too.
This design is really well thought out and executed.
This phone holder arrived in a printed cardboard box.
All the fittings were included and a fitting sheet.
This holder can be attached by a suction pad or by a gripper which fits on to the vent.
I used the latter.
It was easy to attach and as long as you tighten the plastic gripper it sits securely on the vent.
The phone then grips on to it by magnet.
I had problems finding a flat surface to stick the base to as I didn’t want to attach it to my window screen so keep this in mind before buying if you have a curved dashboard. Once I had found a suitable mounting point it was easy enough to stick the base to the dashboard then peel of the cover on the suction cup and attach to the plate. I did notice the the magnet attachment wasn’t the strongest but it is adequate to hold my Iphone 13. Not sure how it would handle a bigger/heavier phone though.
This kit contains a single ball-head type magnetic plate mount, together with a choice of vent-hook or movable-arm suction-pad bases. Two self-adhesive metal plates are provided for fixing to devices, and they work well with the flat pad magnetic mount. I found that ring-type metal plates were not held securely, but any solid plate should work.
The vent-hook base has a metal hook, and is similar to many others. Similarly, it may or may not fit a particular vehicle, demanding on the ventilation disposition. The fins in my Jeep are too shallow to be gripped tightly, and are also not fixed, and don’t work well. The non-click-stop adjusting sleeve of the metal hook will close it up to abut 10mm, and it will not be secure on fins any shallower than that. It is also a good idea to avoid damaging the fins when fitting or in use accidentally.
The other base has a large-diameter combined sticky pad and suction cup with lever operation. It will attach firmly to any smooth flattish surface, such as a windscreen or dash top. A tab aids removal, but it might leave some minor marks on some surfaces. I couldn’t get the mount to rotate, but the articulated and telescopic arm gives a good range of movement in combination with the universal ball-joint. Plastic wing-nuts and click-stops on the pivot lock the position firmly, although as usual, the ball-joint cannot be locked tight. This part has a nice finish, with a rubber pad, carbon fibre- style edging and two cable clips incorporated.
This is a well-made kit that should work in most cases, and good value at 16.99, especially with the 3 voucher discount. It was, though, even cheaper until yesterday, when the base price was discounted to 12.74.
I received the TOPK Magnetic Car Phone Holder a week ago to replace my old clip in version after a family member recommended it to me. Unboxing and mounting it on my vehicles dashboard was simple enough, and I didn’t even need to refer to the instructions, which were detailed enough as it is. The mount sticks on the dashboard very well and is very firm. Fitting the magnetic sheets (x2) to the mobile phones was simple enough. I was worried that the magnet strength wouldn’t be strong enough and that the phone would fall off when going over bumps, but its very strong and doesn’t move once mounted. Its so simple to mount and unmount phones now that I don’t think I would be able to go back to the older clip in versions. Great product!
First let me say, I was amazed all of the bits and pieces needed came in such a small box. When I had emptied it all it, it came with all the connections and sticky pads to either mount your phone holder onto the dashboard or connect it to one of your vents. All parts of the phone holder felt a sturdy plastic.
Trying this out in my car, I opted for the dashboard mount. I made a big mistake in fitting it on one of our hottest days. As when I tried to attach my phone to the mount, the mount kept sliding forward. This could have been the combination of the heat and the sticky/suction pad as well as the weight of my phone (it is a bigger phone). The attachment itself that held the phone felt secure.
I then tried the vent connection. This was easy to do, following the instructions. This I felt wasn’t a good option for my phone because going over speed bumps or a particularly rough surfaced road, would cause my phone to lose connection and fall. Again, this could be the weight of my phone. We then tried it on my daughters phone, which is much smaller. It worked perfectly for her. She then ‘borrowed’ the phone mount for her car. Drove for two hours to visit her sister and it never fell off once. I don’t think I’m getting the phone holder back.
Great magnetic phone holder, offers many mounting solutions depending on your personal preferences and it is compatible with pretty much every single phone. It has 2 magnetic plates which you attach to your phone case and it is your anchor point for holder itself. Mount main part has build in magnets which holds plate you attached to your case, these are so powerful that none of the bumps, potholes manage to knock my phone off from mount, stays in place solid. I used vent clip which is least invasive and location in my car is perfect for that. It has hook which goes behind one of the vent plate and stays there no matter what. Great quality of material used, works magic for me.
Really good quality magnetic phone holder, comes with 2 different panels to stick on the back of your phone or phone case, the magnet on this is super powerful I was really impressed with it actually.
It has a ball joint so you can tilt and turn it where you need it really easy then tighten it to keep it in place, it also extends pretty well.
I’m really impressed overall with this one.
Also has the option and attachment to clip it into your vents rather than suction to your window/dash or wherever you’re putting it.
Suction does have a good lock down, also has sticky on the bottom to help it stay sealed, it seems strong enough when done with a completely flat seal on the plate provided.
It’s a good quality product I’d recommend.
The phone holder has a very strong adhesive suction cup, lots of adjustability on the mount and it has a strong magnet to hold the phone. The unit itself is a little chunky but it gets the job done. It folds up quite compactly so it can be stored easily when not in use.
I prefer magnetic phone holders because it gives the option to place other devices that might big thicker than a phone, I have one of these in my 4×4 holding my satnav because the holder that came with it was not very good, I just had to stick a small metal disc on the back of the unit and so far it has stayed put even on bumpy trails.
This one is now fitted to the family car for the same reason, suction is good it’s not fallen off yet and holds the satnav well, plenty of adjustment, also comes with a vent bracket if that’s a better fix for some people but I find the vent tilts down with the weight of the phone/satnav so not for me.
I was very dubious buying this but it had to be one that goes on vent because of design of dash. Im happy to reporrt this is awesome. The magnet patch stuck on my fone easily & securely. The holder hooked on the air vent without any difficulty. Instructions were clear, concise & it worked immediately. I’ve been using it daily for about 3 months now & it hasn’t let me down. Over bumps & pot holes it doesn’t slip or move at all. It’s as secure as the day I put it on. It doesn’t rattle or move about reguardless of whether my phones attatched or not. The price was great too. Super happy.
This is good quality, parts looks durable and it is easy to set up and use. And you got two options – air vent or dashboard. Price is not too bad for me.
Fast delivery from Amazon and glad i took note of the reviews as they weren’t wrong. Easy to put together and sits lovely in my Renault Megane Estate air vent. As others have said it’s sturdy and the magnets are very strong. I actually stuck my magnet on the clear gel case that came with the phone, drove around 20 miles today and the phone didn’t even move. Great piece of kit and worth the small price i paid on Amazon.
