This is the second Trigkey computer that we have bought.
I bought this computer as a gift for somebody who processes lots of image data. It’s a fast little machine and despite its size, it does not run hot under load. As we develop software primarily for Linux we installed Linux as the OS, and it works perfectly.
I highly recommend this computer.
Fabulous little PC. Bought the 1TB, 32GB version with the 8 core 5800 CPU for 360 with the discount
Simple to install, just a few minutes to get Windows 11 Pro up and running. A boot from cold takes 11 seconds. Installed VMWare and a Virtual Machine running Windows 11 Pro boots just 1 second slower
Benchmarked the SSD. 3G a second give or take. 6 times faster than the Samsung 2TB Sata SSD in my laptop
Plugged in a BluRay drive and watched UHD movies no problem using VLC. Stream a UHD movie over WiFi 6, no buffering
Tried a 4K monitor on HDMI and USB-C both worked fine. It supports 3 monitors
Very, very quiet, just a tiny bit of air noise at full tilt
I’m genuinely impressed, worth every penny
I’ve always had a PC or something sat connected to my TV, before the days of SmartTV’s and Apps on set top boxes this was how you got to watch whatever, whenever. Of course now its a little redundant but I still use it for streaming things I can’t find elsewhere, or for my personal video library. About time I replaced my ageing 3rd Gen i7 with something a bit newer and more compact since transcoding videos its is primary function and it was just about holding on.
This little box of tricks is deceiving, I know you can fit “more processing power in your pocket than it took to go to the Moon” these days in terms of a phone etc but with SO-DIMMs, M.2’s and all that jazz this little box of tricks is amazing.
Comes pre-installed with Windows 11, fine for me, not using as a Desktop really, dual HDMI’s work as an extended or mirrored pair. Wifi and Bluetooth out the box and a very configurable BIOS.
It great for me, I use to play around with VM. You run a Good home lab, I’m test both Ubuntu and windows server. It will be prefect if there is a option without the windows license it will prefect.
I was so impressed with this machine
Having owned PC ‘s for a lot of years, when they were towers and so slow in booting up, I bought this little gem.
It boots up so quickly, and is fast. 32gb ddr4 ram, and an SSD 1tb hard drive, what more do you need for everyday personal needs. I have it connected to a 27 inch Samsung curved screen monitor. The graphics card is good enough for me, as I am not a computer gamer. I have an Xbox for that. It plays 4k movies to a good standard.
The machine is so small it would fit into an adults hand. It doesn’t suffer from overheating, as the fans inside, are ample.
For the price, it’s really good value. I paid about 410 for it.
For starters, what arrived was slightly different than the pictures in the listing. The ports were all the same, but the top of the pc was textured. Not complaining, as it made the pc look more sophisticated.
Functions with Windows 11 and its plug and play – didn’t require any extra downloads and I was able to use it straight out of the box. It’s compact and relatively small for its high performance, and in fact works and responds faster than my i5 laptop. Fit on my desktop amongst my other monitors taking up the most minimal space I’ve ever encountered for a pc.
Has enough ports for my needs, but I tested attaching a USB-hub and it worked without any issues. WiFi and Bluetooth are all the latest version, worked and connected instantly. Response time is fast, and it doesn’t heat up even if several software are being used at the same time. It’s a real powerhouse and a great upgrade to your workspace. I would recommend.
This pint-sized dynamo, the TRIGKEY S5 Ryzen 7 5800H 16+500, may be modest in size, but it’s certainly not shy when it comes to power. Its compact shell houses an 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 5800H processor, turning it into a veritable high-performance marvel. The processor’s “Zen 3” architecture enhances single-core performance, ramps up energy efficiency and reduces latency. Rather impressive, if you ask me, to cram such a potent beast into such a petite package.
Moreover, it’s worth making a note of the cracking graphics prowess of this mini PC. Ready to handle triple HDMI 4K@60Hz output, it’s a dream come true for design tasks and casual gaming alike. The high-definition picture quality won’t fail to suck you into a truly immersive visual journey.
Now, on the connectivity front, this machine is primed with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, promising a swift and sturdy wireless playground. Although, in the spirit of honesty, I’ve noticed the Wi-Fi connectivity can throw a bit of a wobbly, especially if it’s situated near other electricals. Opting for an Ethernet connection might just save you some hair-pulling frustration.
The design here is quite the considerate one, boasting features like Wake On Lan and Wake On Power, and useful interfaces like USB3.2, USB2.0, RJ45 1000M, HDMI, Audio Jack, and Type-C. But, a fair warning, the USB ports might run a bit thin if you’re the type to have more gadgets than you can count on one hand, and the audio jack placement at the front might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
It arrives with an activated W11 Pro system and flaunts expandable storage. It boots up faster than you can say “Bob’s your uncle,” and keeps going without a hitch. Plus, the compact size is a right winner for anyone looking to bid farewell to their behemoth desktop machines.
Turning to the question of noise levels, the fan can kick up a bit of a racket, even when it’s not being put through its paces. So, for those favouring a quieter workspace, it’s something worth bearing in mind.
In terms of the price, at 381.65 discounted from 449, it’s very reasonable, considering the blend of features and performance you get. Sure, it might not be the most economical mini PC in the shop, but it gives you a solid return on your investment.
It’s a sturdy little number that lives up to its claims. If you’re in the hunt for a high-performance mini PC, the TRIGKEY S5 Ryzen 7 5800H 16+500 is a choice worth mulling over, provided you’re mindful of its minor oddities.
Finally got around to replacing my Desktop (which took up MOST of my desktop!)
This is an amazing little machine. Boots in less than fifteen seconds, is a steady as a rock in performance, takes up no room on my desk. I have it screwed to the edge with the hardware that was supplied in the box.
I use it for general purpose home internet stuff and it is perfectly suitable for this. I’m no hardcore gamer who is trying to shave off microseconds in performance so I can’t comment on that, but as a replacement for an older, clunkier desktop machine it does a great job. Very happy with my purchase.
This replaced a much larger tower PC, and it worked straight out of the box on Windows. Very quiet compared to my previous PC, and a tiny footprint in comparison too. I’m not into gaming so can’t comment on that but had this working for 3/4 weeks now without problems on web browsing, streaming and basic computer stuff.
I bought the Ryzen 7 chip for this and it runs extremely smooth, if a little noisily. The finish is great, I thought the colour could look childish but it’s actually classy and has a metallic finish. It arrived promptly and with a box with lots of cables
This little fella is quite a powerful workhorse. I won’t go into all the specs as you can read them on the listing but I will say it is extremely well put together. The build quality is spot on and it has a good weight to it.
I have had a few mini PCs over the years which I use as media servers but none have come close to how powerful this is. I kinda realise it is overkill for my purposes but better too much than too little.
It ran every game I tried comfortably at 1080p and though not built for gaming it gives a good account of itself and is maybe in Xbox One territory.
Enough ports to keep you going and the latest WiFi and Bluetooth built in it should satisfy most peoples needs with the added bonuses of not taking up much room and using way less power than a desktop.
I’ve used this to upgrade my studio computer and I was a little dubious at first how good it could be, but I’m really impressed! It’s very small, just a bit bigger than my stack of cds, but packs a lot of punch. I had it powered up and set up with my basic W11 profile in minutes and it looks a lot smarter on my desk than my old tower. I like how I can take it on the move too, so if I work out of another studio as long as they have a screen etc to plug into I can use this there.
It’s very quiet and as long as you use a usb extender, has enough ports to do what you need in most instances. I need to invest in an external cd drive so haven’t fully loaded my software onto it yet, but I really notice the difference in speed and power when jumping between the programmes and files I have been able too install on here vs the ones still on my tower.
As with some others I did have some trouble with the Wi-Fi initially but nothing that has repeated itself once set up. Really impressed with this and very happy with my upgrade.
For such a small device I had no idea how powerful it could be. I got this thinking I would use it for basic office work, some Internet browsing and maybe a little bit of media use. It of course did all of this without issue, so I thought I would put it through its paces and use it for some gaming – counterstrike, halo, civ, all on high settings without even a blip. It’s been compleate flawless over the last 3 weeks of heavy use. It’s never gotten hot, not had any crashes despite me deliberately trying to over use it, it’s near silent and it’s performance has been incredible. Not only the best mini PC I’ve seen, but better than my stand alone desktop and laptops. Would recommend.
There’s a lot to like about this mini pc. It is small, compact and very quiet. It can support 4K output but don’t expect to play graphic intensive games at a decent frame rate at that resolution. We managed to run Genshin Impact at a decent rate at 3200×1600 with all settings on low.
I hadn’t used windows in a long time and this took some getting used to again.
Could definitely have done with a few more usb-c ports but otherwise very good.
It works well for a decent price (currently 381)
I really didn’t know what to expect from this pc as I’ve not used a mini pc before and to be honest the spec on paper just didn’t seem feasible for such a small item so I went in very sceptical.
Setup was a breeze and the first thing I noticed was the speed of everything, the second thing I noticed was how silent the device is, just the whisper of a small fan. The box also remained cool throughout my tests.
I setup the box and had all updates installed in about 30 minutes, so I thought I’d benchmark one of the games my son is playing on his Ryzen 5 3000 series desktop rig – Slime rancher 2 – I booted up the game and put every setting onto the maximum – the pc didn’t blink and was playing silky smooth, this thing has no GPU!! I couldn’t believe it!
So I fired up a few more games – admittedly not AAA blockbusters but Fortnite, Minecraft, Raft all ran perfectly well without any issues.
Windows 11 took some getting used to.
Everything was going great so I moved the computer into my son’s room as he will be using it in place of his old, big , rig that was way behind on this spec. Here I encountered an odd issue – the WiFi struggling to connect in certain areas of his room, especially near other electrical items – the monitor, his plug multi tap, his speakers etc. I had to move the box well away from his desk in order for it to connect to WiFi robustly, and occasionally it still struggles. I think my router placement may be an issue – but all other devices in the house manage – I assume the WiFi card in this box isn’t that powerful. There is the option for an ethernet connection so I may need to go down this route to secure the connection for him better.
One other small issue is that if you have a lot of devices to connect you’ll quickly run out of usb ports, so I’ll need to invest in a usb multi tap I think. Also the audio 3.5mm jack is located on the front by the power button rather than on the back – which is a bit annoying for plugging in speakers.
Aside from these couple of annoyances I’m absolutely flabbergasted at what this tiny box is doing!
