I ordered the UGREEN USB C to USB Adapter 2 Pack, Aluminum USB C Male to USB 3.0 Female Adaptor
Great service, arrived very quickly and a fantastic quality product.
I’ve had it for six months now and I’m really pleased and impressed with it.
There are a lot of external ‘thingies’ these days like external disc drives that use the old style usb ports. Naturally Apple under the heading of ‘progress’ change to new port types at the drop of a hat presumably in the hope you will go out and buy new (Apple) peripherals. Instead, get one of these adapters! I was able to connect an old usb disc drive to my iPad Pro in seconds. It’s hard to get excited about things like this, you want them to be as small and neat as possible, these are. And you need them to work, these do. I am afraid I am not technical enough to talk about data throughput or usb standards but it seems ok to me.
Enabled me to back up my mobile phone. Wish there was something written on the device to indicate what it’s designed for. Alternatively, a little plastic bag with details thereon. I’m just afraid that with the plethora of adapters of all sorts and varieties, these may become lost in their midst. They did what was on the tin, however, and I was able to back up my Samsung phone to a memory stick without problem.
The adaptors are as described. I used one of them to connect one of my external back up devices with old style USB connector to a MacBook Pro with USB C port. It worked seamlessly.
Bought these because I have bought cheapies and while they worked they were easily broken
These won’t though. Tough in every direction. You only get what you pay for I suppose
