Bigger than I thought, yet aesthetically minimalist. Does a much better job than the included support bracket, or any support bracket for that matter.
Also looks cleaner than an ineffective sagging bracket underneath a sagging GPU.
Highly recommended.
The 4cm base did just fit in the corner but the support arm was too short to reach and hold up the GPU.
So I realised that I could take off the base and the screw thread was just the right size to fit in the fan screw hole.
So I mounted it from the fan instead.
It holds the GPU up perfectly using the fan hole as a base.
See pic to see how it worked out.
Just in case you are struggling to fit one in your case maybe you can try this solution.
Made from metal, sturdy construction, decent weight and nicely packaged. Took one minute to assemble and another 2 to install. I installed mine in a floor standing mid-tower case (Fractal R6) supporting a EVGA 3080Ti graphics card. The stand does not attach to anything, it free stands on the base of your case and you raise the platform to meet your card and tighten the thumb screw to lock it in place.
Purchased for a very big and heavy Founders Edition GPU. Does the job, can hardly see it because I don’t have the innards of my PC lit up like Blackpool Illuminations.
Works for me, and I like the sturdy alu construction. The trick is to know your rig .. is there a flat surface at the base to “mount” this on? I had a set of three fans at the base of my Lian Li glass case, so perched the base of this brace between two fans, where it wouldn’t impede the blades or deform the fan covers, and I had less than 2 mm spare between the base of the brace sitting on the fan mountings and the edge of the brace bracket (holding the GPU up) and the glass side panel of the PC case .. so it fits, but barely. Also check you have an area on the top side of your GPU, again, away from fans, that the bracket can make contact with the GPU. Again, I had three fans on a 3080Ti and got the bracket to sit between two fans on the GPU.
I could cut the brace to desired length but that’d spoil an otherwise lovely piece of hardware which is solidly made and feels like quality.
The magnetic base seems strong enough to hold it in place but isn’t so strong as to make it hard to remove or affect any HDDs.
its ok, depends on your case. Here’s why – The magnet at the bottom of the stand isn’t strong enough. I know pcs are not moving about but the magnet on this stand is weakl. What i would like to see in a revised version would be a rectanglar base that has stronger magnet. I’m using this in a Lian Li Mesh II and with 2 fans at the bottom of the gpu, so space is very limitied due to the circular base. If it had a rectangle base with a stronger magnet this would be perfect.
Lets face it, graphics cards are getting beefier, and they do tend to sag over time. Not if you get one of these excellent stands , they don’t!
It’s a simple but excellent solution. Made from aluminium, so it feels nice and sturdy, and very easy to adjust to the exact level needed. Recommended
So currently have 3 of these installed in different machines and they all work as intended and take away any graphics sag I have.
The 3 gpu’s these are supporting are:
1x RTX 2070 Super
1x RTX 3070
1x RTX3090
All of these gpu’s are now straight and have been checked with a bubble level so couldn’t be happier.
Extremely simple solution for the age old issue of sagging graphics cards.
The stand’s base is magnetic, so if you have a metal PSU shroud in your PC case, the stand firmly attaches to it increasing the stand’s stability (it’s not the strongest of magnets, but good enough for the purpose in hand).
The part that actually supports your gfx card is obviously adjustable in height and tightened with a screw.
I’ve just upgraded my gfx card to a larger type and pre-empted the sag problem, this solution was recommended on a tech forum I use so I thought I’d give it a shot. I can’t compare to other sag solutions as I haven’t used any, but this stand does the job simply and effectively.
Definitely worth the money if you have a sagging, heavy gfx card that’s putting pressure on your PCI-E slot.
It may not be aesthetically pleasing to everyone, but my case has a mid to heavy dark tint on the tempered glass side panel, so I can’t really see it very well anyway.
Definitely recommended
