My initial thoughts on reviewing this item? Remember I ordered it of my own free will as well. There is no way that is going to do the job, nothing else has so what makes this any different? Oh well I’ve got nothing to lose I suppose. Well blow me down, I’m amazed with this little beauty and what it is capable of for it’s size. I was expecting to have to plug this little gadget into a power source feeding into a USB-C female port on the chassis. But no, non of that palaver! This little thing simply has a male USB-C port on a short cable that slots into my newish laptop, on the other end of the grey chassis is a HDMI female port. I removed the HDMI lead from the back of my blu player that leads to the back of the TV, and slotted THE male HDMI port into the female HDMI port on this gadget. I wasn’t expecting much, if anything, but hey presto there on the screen is my desktop from the laptop. Wow! Five stars and at a mere 5.99, brilliant! There is no way this is going to do the job? I stand corrected!
Quite small. Plug and play. No issue to collect my tablet to the TV. Good sound and video quality. Very compact and looks well made. At 6, I am happy to recommend.
I tried this adapter with a Samsung S8 Tablet that recognised it and automatically switched to DX to show it on the monitor. It is a good alternative to Miracast, it doesn’t require an app or DisplayLink driver and, it’s very good value. I’ve linked it to my computer monitor and haven’t tried it with a portable monitor, but happy to give it five stars.
This USB-C to HDMI adaptor works really well, with a good quality picture. It’s simple enough to set up, connect your USB-C equipped device and an HDMI cable to your TV or monitor and you’re good to go.
The build quality is excellent, with a premium feel.
In my experience, there has been no lag between the input on the screen of my devices and what was displayed on screen. Generally I’m happy from this perspective.
Overall, this little device does the job it’s designed to do very well, is simple to use and set up, making it easy to recommend.
A decent usb c to hdmi adaptor that feels really sturdy and works perfectly. The lead is nice and thick and I have no fear of it breaking. It worked in my MacBook Pro just fine and the picture quality was great. I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend it.
