got this to bring with me for rehearsals for a dance class, in a quite large room and it works a treat. Its sturdy buy easily portable and the sound is perfect for what I use it for. So far battery life is very good so would highly recommend

BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY is SIMPLE When you turn it on (‘ ‘ the POWER BUTTON until it /, changing colour to . Easy as pie.

DURABILITY thusfar, a week in, it’s survived a . It’s to say exactly durable is it, yet; however, I this review with any such happenings

PUNCH Given I’d had a JBL previously, i wasn’t expecting all that much, HOWEVER I was & surprised here. It was the price of the JBL, and not too far off in terms of loudness.

BATTERY LIFE Generally, very gopd, could be better, but, but, but, = !

I don’t know why this review said to mention ‘LIGHTING’ as this is inapplicable!

EASE OF USE , aside from the initial (without reading the instruction manual ) setup, bit that’s on me, not the manufacturer!

VALUE FOR MONEY Suremely ! I couldn’t get a second hand JBL for that, I’m no longer as loyal to that nrsmd now, as they’re extremely expensive, trsding on their bramd name, when is truly !

Loud yes, but the sound quality is questionable in the highs and mid range… . looks great
.. the seller did offer a full refund if I wasn’t happy with the sound quality.. very fair…

Smart speaker with great base and general sound reproduction. It is very easy to use and excellent value for money. It seems hardy and therefore very useable both indoors and outside.

Brilliant speaker, can be used for indoor and outdoor settings. It get’s very loud (painful to listen to upclose) and the overall sound quality is very good. Although, at full volume the battery life decreases very quickly as well as when it is being used as a charger, although this is to be expected. It also takes a long time to charge (longer than instructions state). But I am very happy with the product, it does what it says on the tin, and does it exponentially well.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have purchased 3 different bluetooth speakers in the past, which I have used mainly to play backing tracks while I play saxophone. The two anker ones have lasted several years but do not have enough volume to busk with, so I purchased a ’40w’ non-branded one, which had a nice sound, but after 18 months including playing it loud when busking, it developed a bass rattle/resonance/damage so could no longer be used beyond low volumes.
So, I was looking at something bigger which would be able to compete with a saxophone and not need to run at full volume. This one seemed to fit the bill, and I was swayed to buy in Feb 2021 when the price dropped to 51. Be patient.
I have been using daily for two months, and comparing with the other bluetooth speakers it is:
    – Much bigger and heavier (you need a separate bag to carry it around)
    – Much louder with a much more realistic bass sound, and an overall pleasant clear sound quality
    – Seems to be reasonably well built of sturdy plastic with protective ends (not sure why they’re green).
    – I have a proper 12″ 80W busking speaker and this unit can realistically be compared to that (not quite as loud, but close) so it could be used busking or in a hall or garden for music, accompanying a singer or wind instrument to play a backing track.
    – It can be charged over USB, so if you had a doubt about battery capacity, just take along a USB power pack.
I plan to use this one now when I travel to London to busk, ideal for this purpose, and as a back-up for smaller gigs. Very happy with this product at this price.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI bought this little speaker as a “temporary” Bluetooth speaker I take to Firejams and beach parties figuring that at this price range it wouldn’t be much louder than the other ones I’ve seen friends take down there. I was wrong and I won’t need to replace it with anything…

This speaker goes so loud and has so much punch that you can feel the vibrations from the bass in the sand on the beach from a good 10 – 15 meters away and you can “feel” it outside. This speaker will overpower a party of 80 people outside easily if needed. While the bass is non-directional the mid and high only comes out the side with the grill but it has a wide soundstage so you’ll want to have the grill facing upwards if you are using it in a party outdoor setting. This speaker sounds B E U T I F U L when played in the woods <3

As for sound quality it's actually surprisingly good if a little bass heavy if you are using it in a small room. You'll want to "find" the right preset EQ on the speaker because many of them are too bass heavy, there are 2 that sound quite good, when you take the speaker outside however you'll see "why", The bass is not "floppy" and it doesn't crunch even when very very loud. I have no idea "where" the sound comes from because the speaker is a bit smaller than expected when I first opened it, but it sounded much much much bigger than I expected it. You may find the sound quite aggressive when you use it in a smaller room - this really is a speaker for outdoor or larger indoor spaces and the "aggressiveness" of the sound obviously evens out when it's used outdoors allowing the audio to sound rich and full.

Every single person who has heard it was really surprised when they saw where it was coming from, this actually beats my friends 15" rave speaker which is much larger and heavier, I haven't tested it at full volume because even in a party of 80 dancing people outside at the beach turning it up any louder would have been uncomfortable but even when set really loud there was no distortion.

The speaker has a fairly rugged rubber flap over the USB ports and is definitely sand proof and while I haven't tested it looks like it'd survive having a drink spilled on it, light rain or even an accidental dip in the sea due to the buttons, both subwoofers and the speakers behind the grill being made of rubber, metal and plastic. All the buttons have "seals" around as well, so there is nowhere for sand or water to "get in" easily.

As for battery life, I can't really comment because the battery has never "ran out" and it charges in around an hour and a half. I can say that this speaker was able to charge my friends dead iPhone and play music loudly for several long hours and it still had quite a bit of juice left but as of yet I haven't been able to run the battery down (since I always make sure it's charged up before I bring it out). After 8 hours of continuous play of bass heavy dub reggae at a very loud volume 2 of the 3 power indicator LED's are still on. The underside of the speaker states that it has 2 x 4000mAh batteries inside (for reference a modern a high end smartphone has 1 x 3500mAh battery) and because the speaker only does one thing (play audio) and is lacking in bloated and useless features this is why it lasts as long as it does.

As for features, the buttons may appear to leave quite a bit to be desired and may be a disappointment initially but this makes for "easy, fast and quick" usage. There is an EQ button to select between several built in EQ presets (the one it comes with doesn't sound great), a volume up button, a volume down button, an "input select" button and a power button. there are 3 LEDs to indicate remaining power, 1 for charging and 1 to indicate bluetooth connectivity. As for inputs there is a USB-C charging port to charge the speaker (I haven't tested this to see if it'll play music through it). Meaning you could charge it from one of those power banks and it makes it easier to charge up in a pinch. There is a standard USB port which you can use to charge your phone off and there is of course an standard aux (headphone style) if your old fashioned and prefer to use a cable (hint: this will actually save battery on both your phone and the speaker).

While I haven't done this on this speaker yet as I've not needed to, I can give some good advice on how to get both more volume and more battery life out of any speake

This speaker is amazing. It’s the 7th Bluetooth speaker I’ve owned and my favourite by a long way. The sound quality is really well balanced across lows, mids and highs, but it’s the fact that there’s a proper bass presence that makes this speaker stand out. Well, that and the inexplicably low price.
I’ll not repeat the specs or features – they’re available in the description – but a big plus with this speaker compared with, say, the JBL Flip 5, is the input jack. This allows the speaker to be used as a TV soundbar or with an old iPod or anything else that doesn’t have bluetooth built in.
If you’re looking for something smaller or less expensive, you’ll sacrafice the sensation of bass that this provides, but there are still some good options out there. My previous favourite was the Neocore A1 which, for around 20, has great clarity for such a small unit. You can boost the lows a bit with apps like ‘Subwoofer Pro’ which improves the sound a little. The Anker Soundcore is a good, clear speaker too at around 30 (though I prefer the less expensive Neocore). The Kitsound Boombar and Hive speakers were once pretty decent but they just didn’t match the sound quality of the others I’ve mentioned.
If you have a bit extra to spend and if you don’t mind that the W-King is a bit bigger than its competitors, you’ll like this speaker. I’m still bewildered at the price in comparison with the similar sounding JBL.
In summary, this is a well priced, great sounding and decently built unit and I’d highly recommend it.

I ordered this based on previous favourable reviews but I thought its small size might make the sound lack power so didn’t expect I would like it that much. I admit I was wrong. This box has a nice deep bass way better than something this size should have and it will go very loud with minimal distortion. The speaker paired with no difficulties and the controls are simple to use. The volume controls also act as previous/next track if held down.

Normally the claimed wattage on portable speakers tends to be BS but I believe this does have the output stated on the box. So far the battery life is very impressive which after a few sessions of use remains at full capacity on the 3X led display. The sound is good on all sorts of music genres all of which play with strong presence and bass. At low volume the sound is still very full unlike some speakers on the market.

The only minor issue is the buttons which are virtually flat and visually blend in to the casing which may be an issue for some users when trying to find the control they want.

Though the box contains stereo speakers the speakers lack a stereo image (sound mono) due to the speakers close proximity to each other in the small enclosure. I have now added a second one for true stereo sound and they sound even better one becomes the left channel and the other the right. A portable full stereo music system ready for anywhere. It is a little fiddly getting the units to pair with each other the first time but after that they will pair as soon as switched on. When used as a pair one set of controls will control both units including the volume and power off controls. The only minor downside when carrying 2 they are pretty heavy.

No doubt there are louder (though not many) bluetooth speakers than this, and perhaps some of the big brand names may have marginally better dynamic range. But for that you will pay significantly more than the cost of this one. At this price point, this speaker in my view stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of them. When used indoors you will not get anywhere near max volume, it’ll be just too loud, unless of course you live in an aircraft hangar! But what about outdoors ? It very much depends on how big a space you’re trying to fill, if your garden is like a small football stadium, it will struggle. But for the average or even slightly larger than average garden, this speaker will have no problem filling that. I haven’t had this long enough yet to fully test battery life, but I have been running it for about 12 hours on and off over a number of days, with the volume at up to 75% of max for about 3 or 3.5 of those 12, and the battery charge only dropped by a third. Charging the battery however is something to consider in a little more detail. It’s a big battery, probably about 16 times the size of your smartphone battery, so a basic phone charger will struggle to fully charge this, and most likely overrun it as well. If you do decide to purchase one if these speakers, consider getting a 2.4 amp or better USB charger for it. Overall I will definitely recommend this speaker, the sound quality might not be audiophile standard, but at this price it’s surprisingly good.

The speaker is packaged very well and is eye catching with a fair bit of weight. I have used several portable speakers over the years and this is right up there. I currently compare this to my Creative Roar speaker which costs almost three as much but has no way the volume or battery life.

It’s quite a simplistic unit but gets the job done, the question is how does it sound? Well like all these types of speaker they have a narrow soundstage as the drivers are close together but with the added tweeters has surprisingly Bose like sound (heavy on the bass). I found that at low volumes 30% or less it sounds muddy coloured by the bass drivers, but after that it sounds really good up to about 80% when the bass starts to tail off probably to keep distortion to a minimum.

Bass radiators that actually work on this unit and placement is key, the sound is best on a flat surface like a table and close to a wall. I’ve used this speaker in work and it will last two days on reasonable volume before it needs charging, very impressed so far.

I use it mostly over Bluetooth and works perfectly however couldn’t get the NFC to work, tried it using a 3.5mm headphone cable into a Fiio MP3 hi-bit rate player and it is much more tuneable and even better sound. I got this in the Amazon sale 54 so was an absolute bargain, definitely would recommend it.

    Pros:
    Very loud
    Good sound quality
    Ideal for workplace
    Amazing battery life
    Can charge other devices

    Cons:
Only one setting on the equaliser
The name on the grill (workplace jokes)
    Very narrow soundstage

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have tonnes of Bluetooth speakers from LG, Sony, Tribit, Anker, Tronsmart to name but a few. Now this is the W-King, which is no doubt a franchise name as there are many speakers with these exact same design cues and all have different names. So bearing that in mind I arrived at this speaker with some trepidation.

I need not have worried, upon connecting this bad boy up to my phone and launching spotify, I was treated to the fullest and indeed loudest sound I’ve heard from a portable bluetooth speaker, well it is 50 watts after all. The unit has two presets, the default bass heavy and the loudness setting which ditches a little bit of the bass for higher volume and clearer highs, very much like the LG PK7’s Boost mode.

Aesthetically speaking the unit is plasticky bound with rather strange passive bass covers at either end, the grill at the front seems a tad cheap and I may paint this due to the rather unfortunate W-king logo, say no more.

A strap is attached for shoulder carrying and the whole unit is bulky and ipx5 rated for minor water resistance.

On the rear you get a 3.5mm input jack, usb c charging and a power bank usb A for charging your devices from the 8000mamp battery.

Does it beat my current best speaker the soundcore motion plus, hmmmm I would say due the formers ability to equalize through an app, you can get a slightly more refined sound from the soundcore, but on pure bass and clarity the w-king comes a very very close second and is indeed louder. Notices on youtube a bit of lag on the audio, via my phone tried it on a tablet and it was fine, not sure what is causing this, netflix and everything else, no issues.

One thing of note is on the w-king you do lose bass when going into the 65 percent volume region, not a great deal but enough to mention.

    Great speaker overall
An easy 9.3 put of 10.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersStraight out of the box I was happy with this. It was packaged really well …if they take the time to design good looking packaging which fits the product well they have spent some time thinking about the customer experience sometimes lacking when you get a jiffy bag. The unit was heavier than expected and has a solid feel to it. The mouldings and details are all pin sharp making this look aesthetically good …but how will it sound? It paired with my phone within a few seconds with the usual “Bingly Bongs” we have come to expect these days with a blue led confirming bluetooth active. The only problem now was a short delay in trying to work out what track to play first ! I wasn’t disappointed It had a good sound across the range and the preset equaliser had some good options. I wound it up to max and there was no distortion at all and the bass speakers didn’t start to bottom out either .sometimes on things which have poor speakers in ( Like my van) when you crank up the volume the speaker reaches a point where it cant go in or out anymore so basically puts a flat in your bass signal. NOT THIS UNIT its rich and crisp. I bought this as a workshop / site speaker and I wont be embarrassed to take it with me.

Some people have asked if you can add a microphone to it and use it as a aerobic system or similar and the answer is yes BUT, you could use it solely for voice as I’ve seen on Amazon there is a radio mic system which has a 3.5mm jack which would plug in directly into the W-king and then its just a case of setting levels .

If you wanted to do speech or singing over music you would need a small mixer and Behringer do a xenyx range which have varying numbers of channels but at the basic level a single mic channel and a single audio channel are around the 35 mark with some additional cable adaptors this would make a smart little mobile PA system especially as you can slave another speaker off the primary one and have effectively stereo im led to believe.

All in all a good product, Im happy to review hopefully it will have a good long life .all you have to do now is stop your work colleagues adding (an) to the middle of the logo !
