About power-up:

- If your car has it’s own reversing assist system, please ignore the reversing line of G900; if you need this function, please connect the red line of the rear camera line to the positive pole of the reversing light (the reversing system of the rearview mirror driving recorder can only as an aid)

I purchased the G900 dashcam via Amazon and was very impressed with the ease of installation and the quality of the images. I had been a little concerned about replacing the rear view mirror with a screen , but I need not have worried; it is definitely an upgrade in picture quality and you no longer have to worry about luggage or passengers blocking the view. A key feature we were looking for was the the reversing assist and we encountered an issue as the camera had to be mounted away from the centre of the rear boot and with the G900 fixed parking assist lines this meant our reversing guides were offset from the actual reversing line we would follow. I contacted Wolfbox support and was totally staggered at the high quality of their customer support. I left a message on Christmas Eve and actually received a return telephone call on Christmas day! The customer support listened to our needs and were extremely proactive, suggesting the G850 would solve the issue and then arranged an exchange, even though we had fitted some components. The G850 allows you to precisely set the position of the reversing assist lines to match the exact width of your car and also to cater for any offset. I am unclear why that feature is not available on the G900 which is , I think, the top of the range. As a result, however, I have a camera system which meets all my needs and I am very impressed with both the piece of kit and the support I received. Recommended.
I was originally sceptical about the product but after asking a lot questions I was finally confident with the product. Overall I would rate the support and customer feedback to be very good. After installing I was very impressed with the quality and how easy it is to use on my motorhome. The camera image quality is far superior than what came with the vehicle it is very clear recording and playback display. Navigation switching view angle and controlling the camera angle is very smooth and easy. I would definitely highly recommend this product.
Amazing front/rear dashcam system. It replaces your rear mirror with a super-wide view which eliminates your rear blind-spots (and passengers’ heads etc). Touchscreen has manual “emergency” button to capture a particular event, but there’s also impact-driven recording, and 24h parking monitor (disturbance or continuous recording) when you are not in car. Only thing I noticed is 24h time-lapse capture was draining my battery. Now it’s possible my battery is sub-optimal in lifespan, so I’m not complaining. It works ok if you set parking monitor to record only on G-sensor disturbance; which takes a lot less battery power. Installation does need a little bit of know-how and running wires behind trim panels. I routed cables to rear inside edge of roof liner, and down driver’s side A-panel cover to fusebox.
It’s working perfectly, and the screen visibility of the rear camera is much better than my previous one(G840S). I had to spend some time to fit the rear camera and everything but after setting it all it was very satisfactory.
I bought the mirror as I wanted a reversing camera for my Audi TT as it’s not the most accessible car to reverse. Still, I didn’t want the significant expense of fitting the after-market reverse camera into the virtual dash and with the WOLFBOX Rear View Mirror Camera you also get the built-in dash cams front and back, so it’s a win-win.
The only problem was after three months of use the rear camera failed, so I contacted Wolfbox.com support and after I sent them a photo of the fault they sent me a replacement rear camera which I installed in a few minutes Now the system is working perfectly again.
So 10 out of 10 for wolfbox, I would recommend them
The image quality of the camera is really good, it also has all useful features included. So I just to want share the problems I encountered. First, the cables connecting on the top of the camera is actually limiting the tilt angle. I am 182cm in a BMW 1 series but the cables are preventing me to tilt the mirror to the correct angle. Second, the camera is much wider than the original rear mirror which makes the viewing area of the front for the driver gets smaller, which also makes the blind spot bigger. With my height in such small car, I found it blocking almost 30% of the front view already which is very dangerious. Third, when I turn off the screen and use it as normal rear mirror, the image appears to be much darker. Last, both me and my wife will be driving the car , and she is much shorter. So we need to adjust the angle of the mirror everytime . That means the whole camera will be moved and the angle of the captured video will be different. I am not saying the camera is not in good design but it is just not suitable for users like us.
Have set the g900 camera up temporarily as suggested after reading the instructions from the manual. The camera comes preloaded with data set by the Wolfbox company, just have enter the menu to change some settings to suit me which was easy. All the necessary leads,rear camera etc came well packed and in individual plastic bags well presented in a nice box. Also included is a sd card which must be formatted before you can record any footage, the recording is in 4g so to see it on your pc you have down load the program which does/nt take long.
Well pleased with the results with setup and the ease of scrolling through the menu is a doddle, plus swiping the main camera screen to see the rear camera etc. Just have a look on YouTube to see the results of the setup. I recommend the Wolfbox g900 car camera which also gives reverse view with the rear camera when parking in a space, all the info in the manual.
EXcellent dash cam very good image night & day time. Very clear to read number plate from front & rear. This dashcam is great, the front camera is very clear and the rear camera is pretty good too. I’ve used these rear view mirror cameras for the last 2-3 years on different cars but this one impressed me the most. I’ve had many “cheap” dashcams which all use the same buggy software, poor quality design and cheaply made – Buy cheap buy twice! So I opted for this one and first impressions getting it out the box is it’s premium! The touch screen itself is very responsive, no lag and super easy to operate. It’s very basic and simple but that’s all you need! You can also swipe up/down on the screen to move the camera so if your rear camera ends up Looking at the sky when you install it, you can move the position of the view directly on the mirror – genius. You can also swipe left/right to cycle through the view modes. I really do like this dashcam. It fits over your current rear-view mirror and is held on with rubber holders that stretch around the back of your current mirror. Really secure and didn’t wiggle when driving. It was easy enough to set up in the car. Customer Service: I was not sure about this product but after communicating especially with Amber in customer services, I was convinced I will get support/help if I may need one! Thank you Wolfbox for having amazing support team. I recommended for sure.

The good
The unit is really good. Video quality is excellent. Menus are easy to navigate. I bought the hardwire kit (separately) and found it easy to wire in, including wiring it to the car’s reversing light to get the added functionality of reversing camera with red/amber/green parking space markings when putting the car into reverse. (If you don’t wire it to the reversing light you can still use the rear facing camera whenever you want but you would have to select that video feed manually on the screen and you don’t get the red/amber/green markings).
The bad
After about 2 months the unit stopped working. I do not know why but it may be linked to me removing the SD card while the unit was on (MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT POWER ENTIRELY BEFORE REMOVING SD CARD AND DO NOT POWER UNIT ON WITHOUT AN SD CARD INSERTED). The unit was then effectively “bricked” and would not allow anything… I couldn’t reset it or get to any menus.
Customer services
Wolfbox customer services are contacted by email and the first thing I will say is that there is no question that they are on your side and wanting to realise your problem. I spoke to an operative called Alice on and off for a week and she was amazingly supportive and helpful. The downside is that customer support is based abroad, I’m guessing China, and hence I would receive a replies to my emails overnight which made for quite a long email exchange. The other downside is that I was sent instructions how to reset the unit but these were in a poor chinese-english translation and some of the instructions literally didn’t make sense. I have already fed this back to wolfbox customer services so hopefully this will improve.

After a week of emails trying to reset the unit which was unsuccessful, customer services just send me an entire new unit (pictured) so I am good to go again.
I wish I could give 5 stars because I love the product but for the reasons above, I think 4 is fair.

I will recommend this product specially to new driver struggling with blind spot. it’s improve safety and give confidence to driver every thing is visible help to park a car . I think back camera need to be installed inside In my experience Customer service resolve my problem and take seriously. 5 star excellent customer service.
If camera installed out side back camera some time in full heavy rain of UK weather camera goes total blur so safety issues i have concerns but in normal daily Rainey conditions is Alright no issue at all .front camera is alright perfect overall…. Overall experience are good.

The wolfbox G900 is a fantastic Camera. It looks and feels superior. The rear camera feels solid, sturdy and mounts perfect. The touch screen is really sensitive .Packaging comes in a superior box packed very well, the box and sleeve is top quality. The mirror is large and long, this is very easy to fit, with 4 flexible brackets, you simply slot over your mirror and attach the rubber bands that come with the kit, these wrap around ur existing mirror, this feels very secure and looks amazing. I purchased the hard wire kit so that I can have this camera come on and off without having to plug and unplug the 12v socket, the Hardwire Kit is very easy to install, it is very well designed and has plenty of length, approx 11ft 4. The image quality is amazing, by far the best I have had, it is 4k front and 2.5k rear, it picks up reg plates in the distance. The video qaulity is amazing, there is no lag and it plays back it high quality for you to view, you can skip through the videos or watch them in full. I purchased the 128gb card with it for extra storage.
Installation is very easy. Just put the screen on top of existing mirror and keep it in place with rubber bands provided. It’s very secure. There are 2 sets of rubber bands, for different sizes of mirrors. Being USB C connector, it means that the cable can be installed either direction, left or right.
Then just route the cables with the help of the plastic tool.
Rear camera can be installed inside or outside. I choose outside. Just removed some plastic trims from the boot and I have found holes to route the cable to outside of the car. There I used the adhesive patch provided to fix it above the number plate. Also you have wires to patch onto the reverse light cable if you want guidance line when reversing. It’s very easy.
GPS antenna I mounted inside the left front pillar. Just remove plastic cover with the provided tool. You can stick it or just leave it there.
For power you can use the cigarette lighter adap6 or the hardware kit. I used the second. Very long cables. Enough I think for any car.
Instructions are very detailed. Open the fuse box, locate an empty space that has power only when the contact is on and then you’re set.
As for the camera itself, it’s great. I’ve had other cameras that albeit good enough quality in daytime were very bad when dark. Light from the cars in the back will produce a lot of glare making the rear camera useless. This one it’s great. I don’t know how they made it but it doesn’t have glare. As soon as the car behind it is only a few meters behind you can clearly see and read licence number. Also that applies in daytime when you have the sun in the back.
No longer you get blinded when you look in the screen.
Setting is a breeze. Very intuitive. Just a few steps and you’re set. Touch screen very responsive.
You can use it with the screen off, just like a regular mirror. Only a bit darker. In daytime it’s ok , night time it is a bit too dark. But when you reverse it comes on automatically and you can see behind the car.

Why need it:
Got it for RAV4 as it came with factory tinted rear glass and make visibility very poor (or with age eyesight getting old haha). But this problem was solved by having this mirror as I could see much better as compared to factory mirror.
Setup:
Very easy and simply connect all wires as per instructions and press the button to start and follow instructions to complete the setup.
Image quality:
Wow, I think this is must have as quality is super clear even in night . If you know how to use any smart phone, you will find it easy to operate.
Note:When taking out sd card, ensure that recording is off otherwise you will have bit of issue with reading files.
Suggestions for Wolfbox team:
1. If possible, have option when press button to turn on mirror by default it goes to reverse mode option, where mirror can show rear view without lines option as normal rear view.
2. If possible, have wifi and GPS build into mirror so less wires or single wire
3. If possible, have oem type brackets where cables can go under and hidden away
4. If possible, have image stabilisation for off road trips so image stays study
5. If possible, have camera auto focus on car or object
6. If possible, have voice command options
7. If possible, have option to connect power to feed off 12v directly e.g. voltage conversion is done inside so this was can be connect to rain sensor power
8. If possible, add anti-glare reflection coating
I will add more info here after testing / using it for longer period if I may have time / chance.
These are really good cameras with really useful functions, I have a van and have the rear camera on the outside and it works perfectly, I can zoom in and out up and down and the quality amazes anybody that gets into the cabin with me this is now my second unit I have also put one on the wife’s car for safety as it’s always recording and she loves the comfort of having it. Their customer service is also really helpful with and questions you may have with fitting or operating the unit A*
Love this camera, everything works fine, wish the back cam was 4k as well but 2k is better than most cameras out there. It has a type c usb so you can use a power bank during nighttime if you want. I initially had some issues with it but the seller was very nice and sorted out everything. I do recommend buying the anti-glare film and asking for the hardwire kit as it’s gonna make your life easier.
I kept this one after testing out Thinkware F100, F200, Motorolla dashcam, and Garmin 90 mini.

Updated Review: The wolf box Customer support team have been on top of things to help me fix the issue. The actual issue was that the mirror where the rear camera 3.5mm input goes had an issue (poor contact with the input line). The CS team sent me a rear camera thinking it was an issue with the rear camera, however when the actual issue was identified they sent me a new sent of 900 camera and that fixed the issue.
About the product: The camera mirror is undoubtedly the best and I liked it. The mirror camera also acts as a dash cam, recording 24/7 with G sensor and I have got it hardwired. I don’t use the reverse camera view (as the rear camera is always on). It also has a GPS module and shows the speed (I personally don’t use it though).
How can this product be improved: There is only one thing I wish they could look into, that is better presentation of rear stream. I purchased the camera mirror to get a better view of rear side as there is a huge blind spot on my car. When I use the rear camera view (only), the image is stretched and as a result I’m unable to know the actual distance between my car and the car behind me. I hope they release a software update where by I could use a full length rear view and able to see the image clearly without stretched.
I’ve tried 3 different brands of rear-view mirror camera, and this one is head and shoulders better than the others.
Note that the pictures on Amazon show the camera on the Left side of the unit. However Amazon will send you a version with the camera on the right side. Camera on the right gives a slightly better view of the road ahead, but it overhands your rear-view mirror by ~5cm on the driver’s side, which may obstruct the driver’s view in front. If you think this may be a problem, contact the seller – they have a version with the camera on the left (overhanging the passenger’s side of your rear-view mirror by ~5cm).
Customer service from Wolfbox is second to none.
Yellow wire goes to perm live , red to ign acc on , black to earth . You can of course use the supplied cigar power adaptor. I placed the GPS module on the passenger side dash ( as mine is RHD ) Rear camera comes with loads of cable and the red wire form the camera goes to the reverse light ( check vehicle wiring for colour/s) . In my case landrover was green/brown wire . I spliced into the loom and job done . The little plastic tool that comes with kit ( Orange) , is to poke the wires behind headlining and panels . Connect everything up to the mirrorcam and make sure everything is working .
Now everything works, it is time to place the rear camera it is fully water proof so can be mounted inside or (outside.. recommended).. Once you are satisfied with the view you can use the supplied mount ( I made my own ) to finally fix in place . The touchscreen mirror is where the controls are , again so simple to set up ( either by just trial and error or reading the instructions ) You can flip the rear camera view so it makes life easier .
You can use the supplied cigar power adaptor , but it will not allow parking aid to appear ( you need the hard wire kit to activate this ) shop around for best price ( I paid 20 and thought it was expensive) , especially when i had to modify it , so that fuses can be replaced . Not had chance to use at night as I don’t drive much at night .
Overall . I am happy with product and only time will tell about longevity
Wolfbox have released firmware . I have asked many times what does the update do ? .. But with no reply .

Wolfbox contacted me and told me what the firmware was for . I believe now they will actually have a description of the firmware posted on their Website . So it will tell you what it does .
I am happy that they listen to it’s customers and made changes . I have therefor given more stars and Happy to recommend the Mirror Cam
