What is the function of the base station?
As well as acting as a chime, the base station can provide a more stable signal for the smart doorbell and has 32GB of memory, saving unnecessary costs.
Can I connect this smart doorbell via WiFi?
After the initial setup, you can go into the settings of the base station, tap on connection mode and follow the instructions on the screen to switch to wireless mode. Then it can be connected to 2.4Ghz WiFi.
Does it work with 5 GHz WiFi?
No. 5GHz WiFi is not supported.

First Wuuk has the best customer services i have come across. My first doorbell had a battery problem and without question asked, Wuuk replaced the doorbell within 48hours. Again, when it arrived, i had connection issues. Wuuk customer services calmly and in a step by step direction directed me on how to fix the problem. Presto, the rest is no history . My doorbell is working. Thanks again Wuuk.
I didnt want a subscription based video doorbell so thought I’d try Wuuk and also added in a camera.
The reason we bought this was because we’d just moved into a new area and were due to be away for 3 weeks. We had no problems accessing our doorbell and camera in the UK from Malaysia. The batteries in both devices last a very long time.
You can program the recording for when your home or away etc… this stops it recording when your at home and popping in and out regularly. Great, clear videos too. We rate it 5 stars.

This door bell is good a product. The motion detecting and storage feature are very handy. Only improvement I would say is the battery does need to improve as I do need to charge the product every 2 weeks.
We have 2 cameras and are thinking of having another as these systems give very good security over all the rear of our property, good pictures and good value for money.
I purchased this product after considerable research. I wanted an effective system that did not require ongoing subscription charges that would work with my Amazon Alexa Echo Dots that are used throughout the house. Our home is 3 stories and quite large. It is impossible to hear someone knocking at the front door from most of the house.
This product is the pro kit, comprised of a wireless doorbell camera device and a separate base station. The doorbell/camera is solid. It is well made and clearly a quality device. The base station does the job but I would describe it as rather light and far less robust. The kit comes with flat and angled base plates for fitting the doorbell and these too are very high quality. Everything you need is supplied, you just may need a drill and a screwdriver. The instruction booklet makes installation and setup very easy.
There is a warning to avoid mounting the camera in direct sunlight. My installation cannot avoid this and in today’s bright sunshine the camera is still working well.
It took me a while to get the device to integrate with my Echo Dots. There was a software update, that was quick and automatic, that provided enhanced integration. There are clear instructions provided, making it seem simple. Yet, I managed to become frustrated. The connection seemed possible by making settings from within either the WUUK app or the Alexa app. I thought it was all set but it just didn’t work. The device was very slow to respond at all, didn’t seem to notify me on my phone and made no connection with the Dots.
The solution was to set it up from both ends, as it were. The WUUK side was easy and the Alexa side was easy, the trick was to actually do the setup on both! Yes, obvious to you maybe, but I was a bit slow. When setup everything became brilliant. I get very fast responses from the camera and doorbell, my phone alerts me quickly and doorbell presses are announced throughout the house on my Dots. Finally my solution works perfectly.
So I do highly recommend this product. If you, like me, experience some frustration at first, do stay calm and work through the guides. Most people, I expect, won’t have my issues and will have it running smoothly straight away.
This item forms part of my video security system comprising a local storage base, 4 security cameras and a video doorbell camera. The system came with easy-to-understand instructions and was simple to set up.
The picture quality is excellent, so on all but the camera that views a long way down my garden, I have set the picture quality down from 2K to 1080. The picture quality is excellent, even when it is quite dim at dawn and dusk and gives pretty good b & w pictures when it is dark.
When set at their maximum sensitivity the cameras will trigger when a person or car is at about 8 to 10 metres. If you are expecting a lot of activity within the camera sensitivity range, like a family BBQ or some lawn mowing and you want to avoid having to delete a lot of spurious events, you can turn the sensitivity off, but remember to revert the setting when appropriate. When deleting “innocent” events It is possible to select “delete all” and it will perform this task but on other occasions, I have only managed to delete events in batches of 10. It is probably something that I’m doing differently. It is easy to save any event that you wish on your tablet or phone.
Sometimes the alerts take a while to get through to my mobile phone but I think that this is because of my mobile phone’s poor signal rather than a fault of the system.
I have had the system up and running for just over 2 months and after fully charging all devices before installation the discharge rate varies considerably depending on the number of detections each location makes. The busier front door is down to 43% but 2 of the cameras to the rear of the house, still optimistically say 100%. A side door camera with similar traffic to the rear rather more honestly says 75%
I am very happy with the system.

Our Bungalow, circa 1970 build has installed 2 x Friedland chimes (Model number 454), one in the hall and one in the passageway to bedrooms. There are two bell pushes, one at front of house and one at the drive entrance. There is a transformer installed at the consumer unit 220-240/50hz/ sec 8v ca 1.0A (6vA).
I have been contemplating for some time which brand and model and type and whatever else doorbell configuration to purchase.
1) I wanted to retain the transformer supply
2) The original loud Friedland chimes to remain
3) No monthly subscription
4) Hard wired bellpush system
5) Stable internet
6) Easy installation.
After a lot of deliberation and watching numerous online videos and reviews I finally decided on the WUUK system. The video doorbell description actually says “battery powered doorbell” but this is “hard wired plus has a battery installed receives charge when wired up”, so great all round. Take your pick.
I am pleased (well, actually amazed) that after connecting the door bell, pushing the bellpush everything worked, and best of all the Friedland chimes Bingo, no hassle with wires and configuring the chime. So early days, well 2 weeks really. But so far so good.
Some feedback,
1. Once the base station is set up, select wireless mode for the base station, remove the LAN cable and site the base station close to the doorbell to allow easy pairing (within 2m). Afterwards return the base station wherever you plan, I plugged mine back into the LAN cable.
2. Our bungalow is at 90 degrees to the entrance and we don’t have a direct view. I used the angle offset base but really need a base twice the angle base supplied to allow a nice view of the drive entrance. So maybe an increased base angle would be a good / essential option.
So, can I recommend this video doorbell, for the easy installation and easy hook-up? Yes, certainly. Regarding the quality of the videos, night shots, animal detection etc, its too early to say but this doorbell is identical to other WUUK video doorbell’s so I’m confident of what they claim.
I am a backer from the wuuk Campaign at Indiegogo. After five years the chime did not work anymore. I decided to buy the new Pro Wuuk. The picture quality is stunning. I get notified when someone is at the front door within seconds… Clear recommandation from my side for this new generation Wuuk !
Have had plenty of CCTV systems over the years & had the Wuuk system for a while now. Operationally,
it’s been pretty solid to be fair. Was compelled to write this review, due to the no quibble after support when one of the cameras had an issue. Support really good. Replacement camera sent once I had provided the relevant information to their support team.

Purchased this product after seeing a review on a social media site. I found it easy to install and love the fact there are no monthly subscription fees. It’s aesthetically pleasing too and there is a very helpful website and live chat if required.
This is my first venture into doorbell cameras. It was really easy to set up using the app on my phone and was up and running in 5 minutes or so. My only confusion was swapping from the initial Ethernet cable set up to wireless. A bit of Googling and I had the answer in no time. The base unit now sits in my hallway just a few feet away from the door. I also purchased a ‘ring’ mains adapter (which works with most doorbell cameras) so I never have to worry about charging it. I just need to set up the additional camera when I get the time.
Pretty straightforward to set up & install. I needed help as the included instructions didn’t explain how to change the base station from a wired to a wifi internet connection. This is changed via the phone app & is included in the on-line instructions). I submitted a request to support who responded very quickly & accurately.
The door bell & base station are both well made & attractive looking.
On checking the battery life data in the app it appears that because I have the door cam wired in to the existing door bell which is transformer powered, it is charging from that so it won’t need taking off to recharge. Amazing.
Overall, I’m very pleased to have a door cam which records video without the need to pay a subscription.
it arrived and within an hour it was on the door and working its been running for 24 hours and we have had several rings it just works!!! No crap ring tone like the other popular one….
This lives up to the description in the sales information. Detection, picture and sound quality along with battery life is great. The only issue I had was integration with Alexa, not getting announcements when the door bell was pressed. I had fast responses from the WUUK customer services to resolve this issue and the overall experience was second to none.

Bought this doorbell as a replacement for my Ring system… Easy setup. The only problem I have found is the image is slightly blurred on the far right side (hence a deduction of one star). All the rest of the picture is in a clear sharp focus. If you want to free yourself from Ring, then this doorbell provides all the functions you need without a subscription… Pleased with this purchase.
Purchased this ‘wireless’ doorbell kit not realising it can be ‘wired in’ to existing doorbell wires. We needed the base station to sound/chime in the living room so we could hear the chime better/louder when the doorbell was pressed. We are ‘oldies’ and both not very technical! Husband installed it within a few minutes. Now we have our old wired doorbell chime (in the porch) and the chime on the base station (in the living room) working together. Both using a bell chime that sounds the same. Chuffed to bits! We can now not only hear clearly when a person presses the doorbell, we can see them as wellall without leaving the comfort of our chairs. Would recommend this kit. So pleased!
If your on the top floor it is easy to see who is at the door and use the messaging system where the door bell speaks to inform the caller what to do. (Leave it, ill be right down, go away ) you can also converse with the caller. Good product, good customer service, no wiring, battery lasts ages
The first thing that struck me was the look and feel of the product, everything about it just shouted QUALITY.
Setting up was easy although I felt that in some areas the user manual was a little short on information, especially if you have no previous experience of this type of equipment.
Still early days but overall I’m happy with my purchase.
Purchased this camera pack few weeks now, so have had time to settle in. The package is decent, very easy to set up with simple instructions had mine up and running in no time. Connecting the hub to the cameras simple enough, had an issue where cameras where not close enough for a great connection still had a good connection. Brought plug in extenders which fixed problem. I also had an issue where live recordings would not save to my phone contacted Wuuk customer service through email, they were very quick to respond and there tech team made that available in a few days. Customer service for Wuuk is second to non. I am also using the Wuuk solar panel which seems to work very well,from 25% to 100 in a couple of days. As per all these type of camera you have to play and test and fine tune what suites you ie: motion settings. Picture quality descent Overall seems to be a decent all round camera set. So far happy with my purchase.
We’ve now had the Smart doorbell Pro 2 installed for 4 days. The first thing I noticed was that the image was a lot darker than expected. The other thing is that there’s quite a delay from the doorbell detecting motion and the notification coming through on the phone.
The installation was fairly easy and the offset mount very welcome. However, I did have problems getting the doorbell to be secure in the mount as it was very tight. The non-offest mount was attached with a satisfying click. Also disappointed that if wanting to download alternative ring chimes, they have to be less than 128kb which is very restrictive. I wasn’t able to find one!
Overall a bit disappointed with the camera on the doorbell which I’d hoped would have been better.

First class results and easy to set-up. WUUK are all about customer service and really helpful… so rare today. We live in a rented property so I mounted the camera on a piece of perspex which I simply screwed to the wall using the existing door bell screw holes. This will also enable us to take it when we move.
Easy to set up and works as expected but it’s not obvious at first whether the bell push/camera is operating from battery or the wired power supply. It needed a bit of moving around to find the best location of the hub to connect with WiFi. Quick helpful response from my enquiry to Wuuk.
– The build quality feels solid and installation is really simple – the instructions are clear and easy to follow, and everything you need is included. The doorbell can be installed wired or wirelessly, and comes with a straight and angled backing plate. Once you’re set up, pairing with the base and control via the app is straightforward. You can also add other members of your household to the account so they can get notifications etc through the app as well.
– The doorbell picture quality is great day and night and the motion detection sensitivity works really well. The cameras are also very good, especially at night with the colour night vision which is excellent.
– 3 seems to be the right sensitivity balance for our needs, anyone coming in the front gate will trigger the motion detection but cars and people going past the fence don’t. Haven’t even needed to set any exclusion zones because the sensitivity setting alone has done exactly what we wanted.
– One feature I’d like to see on the app is in the Security tab; it would be nice to be able to apply a security mode to all cameras at once rather than having to go through them individually.
– Doorbell battery life isn’t as good as the cameras but we’re at 73% after 2 weeks so it’s very acceptable and much easier to recharge than the cameras due to the location. The cameras are still on 100% after a week.
– Notifications via the app for movement come through within seconds, and the notification when someone presses the doorbell is great whether via the base unit (when home) or the app if you’re out.
– By far my favourite feature though is the ability to record a message which you can then trigger to play when someone presses the doorbell. Endless fun for me, less so for my postman.
Overall really happy with this. Good value for money for a quality wireless home security system controlled by a single app.
Both the doorbell and cameras are easy to set up, the wireless range is good, i like that the memory is held on the hub not on the cloud, another good feature is that you can add multiple detection zones to each camera.
