This probably longer than average cable complete with case and strap are everything you would expect. It might not support the most amount of Amps and only be 11kW but if thats what your vehicle needs then this is perfect, no point spending more if you can’t take advantage of it unless you’re looking for something for the future. Price wise its around 100, just over at time of writing but with 20% off. This seems about fair based on others I’ve seen around, its a trade off between length and capacity I guess. Its durable and feels solid, well moulded connectors and can be used many times over.
The cable is 5M long, making it easy to access charging stations in most places. It is also three-phase and rated 16A, providing fast charging. The IP55 waterproof rating ensures that it can withstand any weather conditions. The cable is also compliant with the IEC-62196-2 standard, so it is compatible with all common charging stations and EVs.
I have been using this cable for a few weeks now and I am impressed by its performance. The cable is very sturdy and durable and can easily handle the power requirements of my car. It is also surprisingly flexible and can be bent and twisted without any issues. The 11kW charging speed is also quite impressive, allowing me to charge my car much faster than I was able to before.
Charged my new MG5EV with this. Works well. Charged in 3.5 hours whilst I sat at work.
Love the bag it comes in and the cloth to wipe it clean. Fits neatly in the car boot.
Ordered on Thursday evening and expected it to be delivered Tuesday. Was actually delivered on the Saturday, so much quicker than I’d expected, which was very helpful.

What always amazes me about these cables is how much they cost, however the quality of this cable by Akeson is top notch. The solid materials and finish give you the feeling that this is worth the cost and during use I haven’t had any issues whether I use it at home or at a charge point in services etc. The 5M length is just right so I don’t need to worry about parking close or which side the cap is. Another thing I really like about this charging cable is the case it comes with as it folds up nicely in to it and the case itself is also of a high quality and makes it easy to carry and store. I’m very pleased with this cable and highly recommend it.
