Such a brilliant film – we had to buy the DVD version to keep revisiting it. Really poignant, and also very funny, with a brilliant cast. Everyone should see it, regardless of age or gender (DEFINITELY not just a kids’ film!). Can’t recommend highly enough!
Loved this comedy musical based on the famous Mattel toy. The classic duck out of water with a twist as Barbie (Margot Robbie) heads to the real world to find the little girl who has transposed her feelings on to her. Whilst she’s away, Ken (Ryan Gosling) changes Barbie World into Ken-dom. Hilarious and accompanied by Dame Helen Mirren’s brilliant narration, while make you giggle whilst you’re booging away to the catchy music.
I’m not exactly the target audience as I’m well into middle age but I enjoyed it and it’s well done and worth watching. There are a few sections that, for me, seemed pointless and stopped the overall very good flow of the film. Everyone is very good in it and it looks great. I can see why it did so well at the box office. You’ll have a good idea of its your sort of thing and if you think it is then you’ll enjoy it.
