I just bought Sifvo Overtake MTB Bike Helmet and it has been a great experience so far. Apart from being fashionable and stylish, the helmet features a streamlined design that reduces airflow. Another thing about the MTB technology is that it reduces the rotating forces sent to the brain in case one gets hit against a wall or something like that. It fits any head size very well because of the VaporFit adjustable system which makes this possible. Moreover, the inner part of the helmet has expanded polystyrene that is comfy as well as wicking, ensuring a cool and dry head during prolonged rides. Very convenient and there is no need for a separate case for the sunglasses. On average, the Smith Overtake MTB helmet is an excellent product, which I wholeheartedly suggest for those seeking great looks, security, and comfort.

Lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Snaps and buckles are high quality and appear to be robust. The straps are soft and skin friendly too.
The Colour is so pretty and no overheated head when wearing this.
Although thin, the foam is bouncy but strong. This won’t easily break on impact.
Protection where needed.
I found it to be a good bike helmet on the whole. It’s very lightweight, in part due to its minimal padding and good ventilation around the head. Very comfortable on hot sunny days, allowing my scalp to breath well. I just have slight concerns over it’s minimal padding.
Pleased with this helmet, it’s comfortable on and feels lightweight. Good ventilation and it looks very stylish – I got red and it’s a nice matte finish with a gradient colour.
This is a lightweight cycling helmet.
The colour is a light yellow. The helmet is lightweight but very sturdy, thankfully not been put to the test.
The helmet is adjustable and will fit comfortably when adjusted. The neck strap is quite comfortable. The air vents that are all over the helmet allows you to keep cool on long rides.
This is a good value helmet, but I feel the cost is a little higher than average.
Looks the part and feels pretty light. The cut out channels ensure that you don’t get a sweaty head however helmet hair is still a thing.
Chin strap and cranium adjustment at the back are good and a comfy snug fit should be achievable.
Plain styling will suit the discrete reserve rider.
This is a really nice helmet. It doesn’t come with replacement pads but I’ve never used those on my previous helmets. This is easily as good as the helmet I had previously which was much more expensive. It is comfortable and easy to adjust for fit. Certainly something I would recommend.
This helmet has a really good fit with ventilation to help keep your head cool.
The design also doesn’t make it look like you have a weirdly shaped head!
It is easy to adjust to get the right fit for your head, with “mostly” adequate padding.
It is very lightweight which is ideal for carrying when not on your head.
Pros…
Good shape
Lightweight
Great ventilation
Easy to adjust
Cons…
Internal padding could be thicker
Overall I’d recommend this helmet for either MTB or road use.
For an adult sized bike helmet this is good value and I like the minimalist look and matt finish – available in 4 colours, black, yellow, grey and red.
It’s described as a MTB helmet but is just as suitable for a road bike – the protection is the same with any bike.
Comfort is not great, with not much front and back padding to avoid digging into the head. Foam and felt strips are available separately so this problem can be overcome, but at an additional cost of course.
As a basic non- branded helmet it’s good value for money but not the most comfortable.
First and foremost, a helmet needs to be safe and this one says that it meets EN1078 standards, which is reassuring.
I have worn this helmet on a 25m+ ride to test it out and I have to say that I like it. Its very light yet it still feels solid. The fit for me was perfect. The padding was soft and comfortable and seems to be made of a more rugged breathable foam filled fabric pouch as opposed to my old helmet which just had foam straps that soon flattened.
There is good airflow through the helmet thanks to the large vents front and back, which helps to keep you cool. The only downside for me is the lack of a mesh on the front to prevent bugs getting into your hair, but this is common and not a deal breaker.
Overall I would say that this seems to offer good quality and decent value.
Good general purpose helmet – casual MTB
+ Looks good – I like the matt design – but it does show greasy finger prints
+ Good ventilation
+ Comfortable
+ Easily Adjustable
+ Certified
= Casual MTB and road use
– No visor
– No MIPS protection
My son is a serious downhill mountain biker. To his surprise he liked this helmet, but probably wouldn’t use it himself due to the negatives above.
The ultimate test is how the helmet works when it matters. Sorry Amazon, I’m going to have to trust the certification.
For more casual cyclists (like me), this is a great helmet.
At 57cm my crown size sits within the 55cm to 61cm range, but there are still adjustments that are not ideal.
When adjusted to what seems like the right size, the chin strap sits with the buckle right underneath my chin, the padded strap (which I really had to squeeze to fit in the gap after adjustment) sits to one side of my face, rather than directly under the chin.
The helmet itself is fairly light and comfortable, it was also easy to adjust and tighten. It is a shame that there is no sun guard, but that is personal choice, my last one had a removeable guard.
Overall, this seems to be a pretty good helmet, hopefully I will never have to test its effectiveness in a real life situation. At 32.99, its an average price, but I do think it is perhaps a little on the expensive side given the other comparable offerings on Amazon.
You should change your cycle helmet after every big drop or crash – and also every 3 years! So I was please to test this one out.
What I found out……
Pros this was advertised as large size – and that is correct. I can also wear my “Oakley-Style” specs with it. In addition, it was easy to get a good fit with the adjustable straps and so was comfortable in use.
There is good all-around vision as well as protection.
There is a lot of “ventilation hole” in the helmet – it lets through a lot of air to keep sweating down. It is easy to get an action camera mount or a flashing rear LED light fixed securely to the helmet with a zip-lock cable tie between the “holes”
I got the “pale yellow” colour – and I think it looks good.
It is VERY light – it is made of expanded polystyrene with a sort of “sprayed on” outer hard shell as the carapace. It is easy to put in my work bag, and here the lack of a visor makes it easier to pack too.
Cons It is VERY light – it is made of expanded polystyrene with a sort of “sprayed on” outer hard shell.
There is no built in Visor – so wear specs on a windy day.
In August 2023, it costs more than the usual UK high street option of the “Raleigh Quest” helmet – but is lighter and I like the look better as I am not a big visor fan. watch this space however – as prices can change fast on Amazon UK.
OVERALL – I like this. It may not give the heaviest protection, but being lightweight, and a good fit for those with big heads, and with all the air holes to keep you comfortable, I am much more likely to use it. I like this – and would be happy to get it again. For serious high speed racers – there are more air-flow designs with heavier protection.
Delivery was next day. If this fails inside 2 years I will be back to update my review.
