I was sick of having a smart watch interrupting me and having to charge it and not escaping technology even at bed time.
This watch just tells the time date and day but looks fantastic and will for sure take a beating.
I have owned quite a few divers watches, several SKX models, all sold after a period of time as I could not ignore the always present QC issues. This watch is stunning, the FL dial is fantastic. QC spot on, this citizen has history (1997 if I read correctly), pedigree and is a beautiful ISO certified divers watch. If on the fence, just buy it while they are still available !
My last kinetic fully waterproof watch was a Pulsar and kept going for 17years +so this watch has a lot to live up to. So far so good.

I already had the blue dial version of this, and I’m so pleased with it that I decided to get this one too. If you’re in the market for such a watch, I can highly recommend it.
I’m really glad I bought this watch. Honestly, the quality is outstanding. It’s beautifully made. Very acurate and has hacking and hand winding functionality which was a lovely surprise. The full loom version is the coolest looking Promaster in my humble opinion. It’s tough as old boots too and won’t let you down.

Amazing brightness of the face and hands. Super brightness diminishes quite quickly but a dull glow can still be seen for hours after (in the dark)

Its the pre-2022 version – the newer model has a slightly larger case and a much better knurled crown, but forget all of that. Just look at that luminous face. At the last count I had 44 watches in my collection and nothing else looks like this. As others have said, just buy it.
One of Citizens best divers, looks fantastic, oozes quality, timekeeping to within five seconds daily, feels bulletproof, got to be worth the price. not keen on the strap so changed it for s/steel one, makes the watch look even better. Lume not as bright as expected , but it’s still more than adequate. Very happy with purchase. Recommend.
Classic 90s diver design with genuine ISO certification that wears smaller than it’s 42mm case size. Full lume dial looks great day and night although the hands do tend to bleed into the dial at night after a few hours. Hacking is a real bonus and the movement in mine is proving to be fairly accurate at around plus 4 seconds a day. The lefty crown takes a bit of getting used to and is best used upside down for setting/winding and is definitely something to consider when screwing in the crown to avoid cross threading. Rubber strap is a bit stiff but is good quality with reinforced tubes in the lugs. ND limits text has been removed for a cleaner look and the buckle is now branded with the Promaster logo. I put mine on an expensive Strapcode Super Engineer but I think these look just right on the rubber. 60 click bezel works well with a positive action and lines up perfectly. There is no back play but there is a bit of bounce and I am led to believe this is a deliberate design feature. Mineral crystal only and the caseback is a bit plain but it’s in keeping with the tool watch nature of the design.
I’m glad this is still around and Citizen continue to produce them. Imagine if Seiko had done the same with the SKX? If you see them in stock, don’t hesitate to buy one as the lead times can be up to a couple of months. Highly recommended.
This really is a good looking watch, the full lume dial is very eye catching and at 42mm the dial is a perfect size, not like the huge watches that are, thankfully, going back out of fashion, definitely recommended.
