Currently the best sub 250 gram drone available anywhere. DJI have created a mini marvel that can produce astonishing stills and video content limited only by the ability of the pilot.
I bought this as my first drone met with a sticky end. The DJI Pro 4 is robust and quite easy to set up. Unfortunately I’ve not had the time to take it for a maiden flight but will add to my review when I do.
Overall thoughts are wow!
WOW is all I can say. This is such and amazing drone. It does so much, it can track something or someone as they move. The picture quality is amazing. It is very easy to fly and having the safety features makes it even easier. I highly recommend this.
if you do not intend to progress with bigger drones later or make money with this one I would advise to buy a used one or go for the cheaper option like a mini 3, if u can afford the price without having to think about it too much this is a very fun toy and it will put a smile on you every time you take off. the price is probably a little over, but you are definitely paying for the technology and durability of this thing
Having been a long-time customer of DJI, I can honestly say their drones are getting better and better.
I started with the DJI Inspire one and it was massive, I then moved on to the Mavic Pro which whilst smaller, still had quite a lot of limitations due to flight restrictions. Then finally I moved over to the DJI mini 4 pro and I have to be honest this drone is awesome. The technology just keeps growing and growing and it shows in the quality of the drone. In the old days, my DJI Inspire one used to take around 10 to 15 minutes to set up and the same to stack away, the DJI mini 4 pro can be up and running in less than a minute.
Honestly, I can’t throw enough superlatives at this drone is the best thing you’ve ever flown.
This item is extremely recommended.
Quite simply THE Best Drone I’ve ever had!…and I have had quite a few! I bought the Mini 4 pro specifically for Night/Low Light conditions and it has astounded me with the Video/Photos I am getting. The Waypoint feature is also absolutely brilliant for Night-Time work; simply plan a Waypoint Route/Mission during daylight hours when you can see the Trees/Houses to avoid, save the Mission and you can even Tweak the Individual Waypoints at home without even turning the Drone on. Adjust Speeds between points, Adjust which way the Drone faces, Camera Angles, Heights, move Points of Interest, etc, etc! Then when the Night arrives, simply launch the M4pro and start your Mission, Job done! Just brilliant. I’ve still got MANY more Features to explore with this little Beauty. Battery life is what you make it NOT what DJI tells you! Don’t expect this Drone to keep flying in Windy conditions in Sports mode for over half an Hour because it simply won’t! Just get it back to Home well before any warnings of ‘Return to Home Now!’ appear and you’ll be ok, and if you ignore the warnings, well, I’l let you figure that one out. If you already have a couple of Drones, do youself a favour and get them sold now to put the Cash towards a Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo…YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
If your reading this you know about drones, there are some handy new features like landing beacon whichis very good. The down side is although the camera is fantastic the filter that fit the 3 pro does not fit the 4 pro which means if your upgrading you need to spend even more on new filters. I’m sure dji could have made it a universal fit but some time these big companies are only thinking of one thing $$$ and knowing people will buy but it’s not good dji, concentrate on the not so small thing and not just profits.
This was purchased to replace my ageing DJI Mavic Air which was becoming a little troublesome.
This is a good beginner’s drone and for the more advanced pilots like me as well .
So lets start with the small downsides to this drone. First of all the propellers holder is a little fiddley and 2nd just like the 1st Mini 1 it feels a little flimsy if you managed to have a accident with it but as it got sensors all around it this would unlikely to happen unless you was flying in sport mode which is not really suitable for filming anyway and also the collision sensors do not work in sport mode .I also just love the RC2 remote as this does away with your phone .And i like the features this has as well .This drone is also a lot less noisy as well so you do not attract attention unlike my Mavic Air which was loud .You should also download drone cast to check for suitable flying conditions as well as a moderate breeze will give this drone a more hard time always fly out with the wind against you and return with the wind behind it .I have not tried everything out yet on it but will in time .The advanced return to home works well as well as i got blinded by sunlight and i hit the RTH button This drone will take the safest short route as well .|And last of all this is a excellent travel drone for the EU as it has the same laws as us
My first drone, so was nervous at first, but got the hang of it. Picture and video quality is excellent. I recommend buying the fly more pack. The battery drains fast and lasts around 20 mins and takes around 80 mins to charge fully so the extra batteries will help! Very happy and looking forward to adding a bit extra towards my photography.
Just a fantastic drone, amazing how much tech they have packed into a sub 250g one. Only had chance for a couple of outings so far but those have been flawless. Very stable, awesome range, rth feature works really well, even with quite a lot of wind it coped well and I’m really chuffed with the photos so far.
Only thing I was initially confused about was if you needed to register with the caa to fly it outside as many retailers advertise “no registration required” with it etc but from reviewing the caa site it turns out you do need to get an operator id and label the drone with it to not fall foul of the law in the uk. Even though it’s below 250g, with it having a camera it needs one so just one to be aware of.
