we use these for our blink cameras and they last on average about 2 years which I think is great for the amount of use the cameras themselves get. wouldn’t use anything else.
I bought these because they were the only battery that I could find that matched the OEM specs.
Therefore, I am giving them a go more through need than choice.
Hopefully they will last as they’re not the cheapest out there.
I bought rechargeable ones to replace a used set in an internal Blink camera but had to use these instead.
The originals lasted over 2 years and several other sets (bought at the same time) in the other cameras are still going – even ones in the outside cameras which get more of a hammering (from weather conditions & sun)!
One of my blink cameras has just decided to turn itself off. It’s easy to forget that it’s not attached to the mains as I got the blink system when it first came out. Panasonic batteries last so well!
Some of the other ones are still going – must be something like four or five years!!
I haven’t used them in any other devices, but if you did need a very lightweight battery that last very long time then these are a fantastic solution. Shame they are not rechargeable, but you can’t have everything!
I bought these for my trail camera on the recommendation of the manufacturer NatureSpy. Lithium batteries are more expensive than the usual alkaline ones, but boy do they last. I installed them months ago and the camera is still reporting 100% battery life.
I previously used Duracell but I was advised that these do not perform well.
Now this could have been me but I put these in our outdoor blink camera and they only lasted maybe 3 weeks to a month now I should probably adjust the sensitivity of the doorbell camera and the detection zones but the batteries that came with the blink doorbell camera lasted ages with the same settings
I replaced the batteriies in my blink cameras with these as they were the same as the ones already in.The ones already in have lasted 2 years so no reason to put different ones in.
These are perfect battery for those applications where having a back-up power source is important. I have several devices which use rechargeable AA cells and that is great until you’re away from a power source to be able to recharge them. Throw a pack of these into the bag and if you can’t charge up then these work perfectly. In storage they last for up to 10 years. If you’re planning on using them as every day cells, they’re a costly option but for carry as a back-up set for when you can’t charge up the rechargeable there’s nothing bette
Bought these as a factory replacement battery for my Nest Smoke Alarm. Original factory fitted ones lasted 2 years. Pricey but definitely worth the extra money for a device that one day could save yours or your loved one’s lives
I am amazed by these, 10 years shelf life ? a miracle, buy a pack and you will always have batteries available.
Another bonus, and sometimes peeve / cons, they keep a flat voltage until they almost die, so you don’t get much of a warning of tail off before they quit.
BUT.. I have a freezer temp monitor remote IN the freezer, normal alkalines are very poor at this low temp, and rechargeables are useless unless they are also specific lithium varieties, these don’t bat an eyelid, they just work.
Highly recommended for low temperatures, such as my remote freezer monitor and also a weather station as my average night temperatures for Jan/Feb are just above, or frequently below freezing.
I use these in my Sureflap Cat Flap and they’re the only ones I use. Lithium batteries seem to perform exceptionally in low yeild apppliences. These generally last me around 12 month in the flap and the best alkaline batteries normally last 2 month, so you can see the difference. I wouldn’t use any other battery despite them being more expensive, they pay for themnselves in how infrequently I need to buy them!
I mainly buy these for my blink cameras and for moderate to high camera activity usage they see lasts 4-5 months, but a tip for you is to remove them after low battery warnings and they last another 6 months in low power items such as TV remote control.
I’ve tested them in my battery tester and they often show the batteries as 1.7v to 1.8v out of the packet and after camera usage are around 1.35v
