Easy to install, good sound quality. Only problem is making a call with AirPods, they clash while it’s ringing. Once you disconnect one of them it is all good again.

I got this due to my other charger in my car breaking. I thought this could be useful as it does charging aswell as being a transmitter so I can connect my phone to my head unit through this. It’s very easy to operate and works really well. Charges my phone absolutely fine and I’ve had no connectivity problems with music either. Not really an important thing but I’m slightly disappointed it doesn’t doing the rgb colours like shown in the ad photo. It only does one colour at a time and I was excited by the thought of it being rainbow but it’s not really an issue that it doesn’t do that just thought it was worth stating if there’s anyone else that is drawn to that. For the price it’s good though
This little device plugs into your cigarette lighter port in your car and opens up a load of hands-free options for use.
It can make and answer calls, play, music of your choosing through USB sticks, TF cards or Bluetooth from your phone and I have to say, all in high quality audio.
It tells you the status of your car battery and you can charge devices as well.
I particularly like this model as it has ambient lighting which makes it safer to use when driving at night. It has a chrome look exterior which makes it look more expensive than it actually is.
I think this is one of the better options on the market and foragreatprice.
Works as intended and a very good little device! I’ve got one similar to this already and wanted a different one for a different car and this works great.
Very simple to use and connect to and has a very easy to use design in general, not being overcomplicated yet having everything you need to connect your phone to play music and charge your device.
Charging is relatively fast but one of the USB slots doesn’t fit USB-A chargers and similar. I’m not sure if this is due to it being broken or a completely different USB type though.
Radio connectivity is also vey good and fast though no matter the station I choose, there is usually a background whistling noise.
Along similar lines with good and bad, I have found that although the design is very simple, the buttons are difficult to use while driving due to their small size. I’ve opted to not use the buttons at all while driving as it is a hazard.
Not quite got the hang of this yet. The bluetooth connection just wasn’t working for me altho it appears as if it should be straightforward and intuitive. The colours engaged once plugged into the cigarette lighter, don’t know where I’m missing a trick, will have to revisit the instructions again as it wasn’t ear first time round
I bought this to use in my van so I could connect my phone to the old stereo…works a treat. You pair it with your phone then set the frequency you want to broadcast on then tune in your radio – Voila your old stereo is now in the 21st century. It also has a couple of charging ports that work just fine too. The icing on the cake for me though is the colour changing LED strip around the face: the cabin of my van is now like a mobile discotheque rather than a doss house. People now look on with envy at my grubby old van where before they used to look with only a combination of pity and disgust. Get one… Now!
Took the microSD card from my old transmitter, straight into this one and gave it a try…
Just a few seconds to tune it to my radio, and we’re away!.
The very first thing I wanted to check was the volume and clarity of the card’s music, looking out for any FM transmission interference some of these devices can suffer from.
I’m happy to say that it performed great, and I could find no such pops/hisses at all. The volume setting goes from 0 to 30, with a little ‘beep’ when it’s reach the 30-max position.
I was able to leave this setting between 15 -20, with ample main-volume control through the car stereo.
This is always a good sign, where you know you’re not driving the device to the absolute limits.
The SD card fits nice and flush when inserted (it’s a click-in type, not just friction held).
The ‘rainbow colour’ surround you see in the listing BTW isn’t what you get in reality… it’s just to show what colours are available by cycling through the lamp-button (top right of the transmitter). You will get the one colour you choose, as well as being able to turn the light off completely.
Bluetooth works as it should, although I must admit my main use will be to simply plug it in, play music, then pull out / return it to the glove compartment ’til next time.
Quite honestly I wouldn’t want to use it much beyond that, as the switches are a bit small, and if you start plugging too much in to the sockets it would soon become very cluttered and difficult to use.
The in-car pic is my old Merc, and there’s plenty of room around the socket for it to fit. You should obviously check your own vehicle for space first just to be sure.
Build quality is what you would expect in a little budget player like this, so don’t expect too much at this price point.
It’s a decent, well performing little transmitter, and deserves a 4-star recommendation.
I can’t believe I’ve not had this item in my life for nearly two years. Finally, I can use the speakers in my vehicle. It really is a fantastic item and looks cool too. Can also charge two USB devices from it. I do have some issues with the device however although these could all be down to user error as I’m style getting used to the device. Sometimes I get feedback and some crackling from my speakers, I also find that the buttons can be a little bit unresponsive and my Bluetooth doesn’t seem to connect straightaway. So far I have to forget the device from my phone, and reconnect to it and even then I don’t get instant connection. I’ve not yet figured out if this is the device or my own incompetence.
I’ve been using this FM Bluetooth Transmitter in my car for a while now, and it’s been a mixed experience, earning it a solid four-star rating.
Firstly, the transmitter performs admirably when it comes to streaming music from my phone to my car’s stereo system. The Bluetooth connection is stable, and the sound quality is excellent. Plus, it supports both TF cards and USB flash drives, giving me versatile options for playing my favourite tunes. The addition of fast charging is a notable bonus.
The hands-free calling works well. It’s incredibly convenient to make and receive calls without taking my hands off the wheel. However, I found the voice assistant’s accuracy could be improved.
That said, there are a few minor drawbacks. The device can be a bit tricky to set up initially, and the instructions could be clearer. Additionally, while the transmitter works well for music and hands-free calls, it could benefit from better noise cancellation for clearer voice quality during calls.
In conclusion, this FM Bluetooth Transmitter offers solid performance with some valuable features like fast charging and versatile media playback options. It enhances my driving experience, but there’s room for improvement in terms of ease of setup and call quality. Overall, it’s a handy addition to my car accessories, and I’m quite satisfied with its functionality.
I’m ambivalent about this – it does exactly what it should, but it does so with a few niggles and inconveniences:
Good points:
It plays MP3 & FLAC files through FM, exactly as it should do
Supports Fast Charge on both USB ports – one of which is a USB C
Although not clear, the third USB port marked for “music” can also be used as a charger
Audio quality is pretty good, not much transmission hiss on quiet spots
Provided you remember to turn the device off before unplugging, it remembers where you were in a file – which is really good for audiobooks.
Bit of a gimmick, but the battery voltage gauge is accurate by +/- 0.5v which gives an at-a-glance idea of charge. That could be useful if you’re sitting for a while with the engine off.
The colour-changing is also a bit gimmicky, but it does mean it’s easy to see the device in the dark.
Bluetooth calling works really well, and is very clear
Bad points:
It’s fairly quiet. I had to turn the radio volume up much higher than I’d listen to a regular FM broadcast – even if the device volume was turned up.
Due to the nature of the device navigation through files is difficult, and you have to know where they are in your mind’s eye, otherwise you have to listen to each for a few seconds to identify where you are in the folder hierarchy.
It’s a bit crowded – everything’s jammed into a small space. If you have a USB stick and a couple of charging cables it’s hard to get to the controls with confidence and press the buttons.
The two USB-A sockets are incredibly tight/stiff. You have to really work to plug something in, and unplug it. The first few times I was genuinely concerned I might pull the entire socket away from the device.
The rotary knob is a bit loose – I’d be concerned over long-term use, it doesn’t always feel as though it’s engaging, and I’ve only been using it a week.
Four stars, because when you get down to it – it does what it’s supposed to, but it’s just a bit awkward to use.
Before buying this – make note of the product’s dimensions and of the space around your 12v socket. This is a small item but it only JUST squeezed into the socket on my ancient car – so another form-factor might have been better for my vehicle. Obviously, this is car specific.
So; is it good value?
Yup. No longer do I need to deal with an aux cable to listen to my podcasts while driving! I plugged in this device, connected my phone to it via blutooth, set my car FM radio to an ’empty’ frequency, matched that frequency on this device and hey presto! My podcast coming loud and clear.
Sound quality is good – same as with an FM radio, funnily enough. With good clarity and stereo channels. For some reason, when used with the car engine off there is a faint ‘buzz’ behind the device, but nothing drastic.
Add into all the above the fact that it offers 2 usb charge ports – and that a device that ONLY offers those charge ports would cost a similar amount – and you can see it is a bargain.
So far so good. Easy to set up, but the user manual is microscopic. I needed to look on the web for a better understanding of features and how to setup. Quality is not bad considering the size. For the price, this is well worth the money.
