Get the best handheld video recorder- GoPro and start recording.
I use it for my vlogs and memories. No need of looking into F numbers and apertures, simply press the record button and it turns on from sleep in a second. ENJOY!!
bought to upgrade from the 11black.. seem almost the same but i like hte screen format option for a few of the recordings.. also that there is a normal tripod hole under it. as usual fab video quality and sound seems to be better.
The gopro is amazing really good for the price I take it everywhere I go the battery is really good last a long time the picture is really good really easy to use you can connect it to your phone and take pictures and videos from your phone
Great action camera in the GoPro line with good stabilisation. HDR videos adds vibrancy. Good choice if you don’t own the 11 & don’t need GPS. I have previously owned the 11. The 12 doesn’t have GPS but I personally don’t require it.
Battery life does seem better than 11 but not massively. Camera is same format so accessories will still work with the 12.
Stability is about the same between the HyperSmooth 5.0 & 6.0.
Works for ski video. Sometimes am not used to the fact it doesn’t zoom.its fixed lens. Please please take care when put in battery as it can get stuck if direction is wrong and will take quite an effort to jam it open. One star off for the battery case. Difficult to open even in normal case.
After coming from an Action 4 I find this better in many ways the day time footage is excellent. I don’t have to sign up to some app that doesn’t seem safe like you do with the Action. Yes the low light isn’t quite as good but even with the action 4 night time footage still wasn’t ideal. I like having a solid mount with a bolt running through as opposed to some tiny easy to release clips.
It is what I expected and more, the quality is amazing and the stabilisation is even better. Battery life is also great and can last a long time without running out.
Only problem is it was quite difficult when trying to upload the photos onto my computer as it needed some sort of payed software to change the file type. It was less then 1 so wasn’t a big deal and was on the Microsoft store so was easy to instal
This is fantastic, I wanted one for a good few years now, so instead of buying a GOPro first I bought one of the cheaper action cameras instead, it was the Dragon Touch Vista 5, and that got used a lot, so I knew this would be worth the purchase. The other good thing is, I don’t need to buy any accessories for this due to the other one I got, that came with a good amount of the accessories n fits the GoPro.
The quality is unreal, and is light in weight. If you are unsure of buying one defo buy a cheap one n give that a go first n if its constantly getting used get a GoPro
As an Action Camera it fits the bill perfectly.
I have used it for diving in the Blue Lagoon to Quad Biking in the Moroccan desert and its been faultless in those situations.
The overheating that can occur is when its being used on highest settings like 5k mode and the camera gets no air. Basically if you stand still with it or keep it in a small space it heats up quick and kills battery or shuts off.
If you are using it when moving / under water you will be fine (well oin my experience anyway)
4/5 as the overheating is an issue that needs resolved.
I’m new to GoPro, this being my first. Must say, straight out the box it was very easy to install the battery and get going. Just press the button and away it goes. Video footage is very good so far as I’m concerned. Love it!
Action cam bellissima, prodotto solido e ben rifinito.
This was made for those who are new to GoPro as it’s not a big upgrade from 11 but for me this is an awesome camera and just wish Amazon would let me buy multiple batteries for this at one time.
I purchased the GoPro 12 Black on the very first day of its release, eager to discover any significant differences from my trusty 11 Black. Here are my takeaways:
1. Speedy Menus and Responsiveness: Gone are the lags and delays. The menus are now fast and responsive.
2. Carry Case Absence: Unfortunately, GoPro doesn’t include a carry case, which can be disappointing if you don’t already have one.
3. 1/4″ Mounting Addition: The addition of a 1/4″ mounting option at the bottom is a welcome feature. However, if you’re already invested in the GoPro ecosystem, you probably have numerous backward-compatible items with the standard GoPro mounting mechanism.
Picture Quality:
In bright daylight, there’s a negligible difference in picture quality between the 11 and the newly released 12 Black. Details are represented similarly in standard mode.
GP-Log: GP-Log seems pretty much useless, as it’s challenging to grade and not particularly useful.
HDR: The HDR mode is decent, but the reproduction of details in bright areas appears somewhat artificial to me. Dark areas are slightly lifted compared to standard mode. However, you’re limited to a frame rate of 30, and you can only shoot at certain ratios — there’s no open gate 8:7 (entire sensor readout).
Voice and Earphone Controls: While I haven’t tested these features yet, the addition of voice control and earphone control is a welcome addition to the GoPro family.
Low-Light Performance: Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any noticeable improvement in low-light performance compared to the Hero 11.
Picture Brightness: The pictures are bright, and detail reproduction is okay, but subpar with newly released smartphones. Can be used as a whole but when cropped the fall of details is significant.
Hypersmooth 6.0: I couldn’t discern any substantial difference between Hypersmooth 6.0 and 5.0 from the Hero 11.
Autoboost: Autoboost is a nice feature that dynamically adjusts the strength of the Hypersmooth stabilization. It’s particularly useful for those engaging in dynamic sports.
The product itself is solid and well-made, with slightly improved responsiveness. However, I did encounter a camera crash during the initial firmware update, which was perilously close to bricking itself. Thankfully, a manual update via SD card resolved the issue.
In summary, if you can find a used Hero 11 Black on sale or a promotional offer for around 300-350, it might be a better choice. Otherwise, if you’re in the market for a new GoPro, the 12 Black is a viable option. In my opinion, it should be named the GoPro 11 Black S, as the improvements make it feel like a patched version of the 11 Black.
For low light it is still a no-go(pro), Action 4 could be a better option for you.
