These led are great value for money, the app is responsive and the Bluetooth in it is quite fast, I don’t like that there is no remote and instead a 3 button panel that you stick to your wall. The control panel is only about 30 cm from thr start of the leds so keep that in mind if your thinking of attaching then to tour felling like I did

These are amazing. Can be controlled my an app on phone. Such great colours. Very long didn’t use all of the lights, your able to cut where you want. Daughter even sets the timer so they come on gradually first thing in the morning. waking her up gently. she thinks its great.
For the price it is great the lights are bright and you can control them within in the app Goove is probably the best led company to be buying lights from in my opinio
The lights stopped working for some colours after a few months, and my son was gutted. I contacted the company who sent a replacement quickly.

No these are not Phillips hue or Nanoleaf lights with a the RGBW but they fit the bill perfectly for adding ambience in a uni kitchen. Probably going to need to respray the wall before I leave though :-{
I bought these lights because my previous ones stopped working with certain colors, I was hesitant between buying this one or the rgbic one from Govee, but considering this one is cheaper I went with this one, the rgbic is a novelty, half of the colours u wont use! This one is perfect and clean and really bright reccomend!
Traditionally they’ve had very poor adhesion and the quality of lighting and use very poor.
Usually bundled with a very cheap IR remote control.
These Govee lights are definitely a cut above the standard ones.
Firstly the adhesion is incredible. They are so sticky and hold fast to the wall or ceiling instantly giving you real confidence that they’ll stay put for years.
Secondly, the light output and colours are brighter and more of the actual LEDs along the strip. They are dimmable, colour changing and other options too. Which leads onto the third thing that sets these apart from the other models.
They come with an app for both iOS and android. Once installed and connected to Wi-Fi the lights will update. Yea, the LED strip will connect to the internet and update. Crazy.
Once updated, maybe 5 minutes.
The app is very well put together, here you can change the colour options, brightness and even scenes. You can set a bedtime routine where the lights will dim over a period of time until they switch off. A morning routine where they gradually switch on and brighten to any colour of your choice.
They can react to music and sounds. The list is endless.
Finally there is a physical push button built into the lights where you can physically switch them on and off.
An absolute great purchase and brilliant price. 20 for 20 metres of light strip that will easily enable you to have lighting around the bedroom/living room or kitchen.
Installation – 4.5/5
Lights are well packed and don’t get tangled during installation if you let the ring containing the lights hang loose. Tape got in the way a couple of times but can be ripped off at any point for ease (realised this later on).
Adhesive – 5/5
The adhesive is sticking really well and goes well with corners – two ridiculously common problems I have had with previous light strips. In my case the lights are stuck around a bedroom wall and have stuck well to the wall so far.
A nice addition is the small piece of adhesive on the control box. I won’t be using that most likely because of the robust app that goes with these strips but it’s nice not to have a wire dangling all over the place for no reason.
Quality of lights/brightness – 5/5
No complaints about the lights – they work as they should.
App – 5/5
Brilliant app with plenty of features. No sign in required, or ads, just need to search the model number of the lights and connect via Bluetooth to control. Lighting changes smoothly when changing colours and is never delayed.
Overall, this is a great product so far (will update my review if anything changes). You can tell that the products flaws were identified early on and ruled out to create a robust end product. No complaints from me.
