It’s ok as a back up and the self adhesive (probably needs a little blob of glue as well because caps get warm or cold) cord is useful if, like me, you keep leaving the original cap behind. Minus a star because it doesn’t fit as securely as the Sigma original due to only having one spring clip. However, it’s good value for money with the cleaning cloths provided. I just wish (hopeless, I know) things like this could be made here for the same price or in Europe!
These replacement lens caps are absolutely brilliant, lost one of the original Nikon lens covers while on a shoot – my fault. Wasn’t prepared to pay for an original which was four times the cost of this pack of three. Honestly the ‘mechanics’ are the same as the originals and they grip/fit just as well as the originals.
Okay, the material may be a little inferior to that used by Nikon but at the end of the day, you are simply stopping an optic or lens filter from being damaged – bit of a no brainer really!
I would recommend these clip on lens covers to anyone!
I bought a vintage camera lens on line but it only came with a rear lens cap. I ordered this and it is great for the money. The springs are strong which makes it a good sturdy fit. It is made from sturdy plastic and feels good quality for a generic cap. It also came with an elastic safety strap so you won’t lose it off your lens and two microfibre cloths. Would have no hesitation buying another one from this supplier.
Fits my 70 a 300 is ii usm canon lens well . Strong grip so happy pack of three so u can lose a couple lol . Not being a snob my r5 with adaptor look fine with it so canon ident Missing isn’t an issue . Only ef lens I use
