A DIY solution for hemming lightweight curtains, simply position the Hemming Web so it remains hidden. This method helps to easily accomplish the task without ever having to thread a needle.
Trouser Alterations
Hemming Web is the easiest way to alter those trousers that are a little too long in the leg with the use of an iron. The process should not take any longer than 10 minutes to do.
Badge Applications
Hemming Web can also be used to add badges to the pockets of blazers before stitching around the edges. This helps to ensure that the badge is straight.

I don’t sew so this is an ideal way to adjust my clothing length.
Being a short axxe all my trouser lengths need shortening. This is a quick and easy solution.
I bought this when I needed to take up a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I was attending. I am not very good with sewing, so I thought I would use this like my mum used to use when I was a little girl. It was just as I remember, — easy to use, quick and effective. A perfect product for us amateur sewers!
Really simple to use. This was the first time I had used this product and it was a breeze.
I used to shorten a pair of curtains and has worked like a dream – there was also so much of the tape left, defiantly enough for another project. I would recommend to even a first timer.
My daughters school skirt hem came undone, so brought this to try and it worked brilliantly, was quick and easy and saved me getting the sewing machine out, would definitely buy again.
Very pleased with the quick delivery of this item. I used it to hem school trousers. It was really easy and appears durable.
I would recommend this item. Plus you receive ample amounts for future projects.
Not sure why I’ve only just found out this exists but I’m pleased I do. This would have saved so many pairs of trousers I’ve owned in the past! It’s so easy to use and lasts during washes. Bloody amazing.
I needed some of this urgently for a pair of trousers I was taking on holiday but I ran out after only doing 1 leg, this arrived quickly saving the day and works brilliantly just as it should, the trousers have since been in the was a couple of times and it’s still holding strong.
I initially bought this to fix a hem on my work trousers. I followed the instructions and it worked a treat. They’ve had about ten 40C washes since then and they’ve held up (literally) with no issues.
A couple of weeks ago I chucked my trainers in the washing machine which unfortunately liberated the foam inserts from where they ought to be. To add insult, the fabric layer on top of the foam had half peeled away on both insoles. One lightbulb moment later with the iron and the hem tape had sorted out the issue.
I’ve only used a fraction of the roll, and even if I never used it again it’s already paid for itself many times over. An absolute slam dunk buy.
I love using this for hemming my clothes as I’m always too short. I’ve never had issues so far with it coming undone in the laundry but it’s great for keeping fabric in place to then sew over properly by hand. Do be careful with what fabric you use it on as polyester fabrics will melt on your iron but using it with a towel should be fine a lot of the time.
I had a couple pairs of jeans that are good quality except for one that got a split and another had a worn area and I wanted to patch them.
I’ve tried iron on patches before and they work a while but are thinner than actual denim and tend to peel off after a bit so wanted to find a more permanent solution.
I decided to sew on the inside patches of old denim. Trickiest part is getting the patch perfectly in position holding the tear so can stitch. This hem tape has been perfect! Cut the patch, turn jeans inside out and pull the damaged area into position and just put Some of this tape under one edge of the patch at a time and iron . It sticks very well and it’s thin so easy to put underneath the patch material, can just fold it when too long. Just make sure it’s all hidden so don’t get any on the iron.
I was pleased with how well the patch was held, made it really easy to just stitch over the top and secure and strengthen the damaged area. Great!
