Had this for a couple of months and I must say it is excellent for cutting and pruning jobs round the garden.
Seems well built and batteries just last.
There’s not a lot of kickback but just be careful when cutting smaller flexible branches
I would like to thank Ting for the response that I got from him after i told him one of the batteries was not working he replaced it with a problem
The Kuzupro mini (8 inch/20cm) chainsaw is really good. Just the job for small lopping jobs and for keeping unruly shrubs etc in order. Battery (2 supplied) life is good and charge time is short (c.30 minutes)
Customer support has been excellent. All in all, I’m very happy to offer a 5* review.
I was told about this saw by my daughter and her comments made me buy one.
What an amazing bit of kit!
Not only for pruning my neighbour’s evil hedge but ripping up pallets for firewood plus other other odd jobs. It comes with two chains, i am still on the original, but chains are readily available and quite cheap. I keep the chain oiled which will preserve its life. Bonus is two batteries. All in all a good deal.
First of all this is a brilliant tool. I have had it for several months now and it has not failed to impress me with it’s power and ease of use. I have a number of trees in the garden that need attention and this saw does the job in seconds – both dry and green wood. But there are a number of similar saws on the market and some of them are probably as good.
Why I am writing this review is that I had a problem with the saw and so I got in touch through the company’s customer service. In three days I had the replacement part. No fuss, no drama. It comes with a two year guarantee that suggests to me that they have confidence in their product but also in their customer relations. I can thoroughly recommend this company and their chain saw.
Great product but the chain rubs against the battery in the box as the chainsaw part is loose fitting in the plastic mounding – needs a cover on the chain ideally or a redesign of the box
I ordered this for my husband, who likes to dabble with a bit of DIY and since we’ve had it we’ve cut plastic pipes, wooden slats, fence posts and floorboards with it so far! It’s one of those items that you don’t think you need until you get one, and then you’ll use it for everything
Its designed for rough cutoffs and not precision. But I don’t think we could have done a better job with a jigsaw or circular saw so I can imagine this saw being very useful on a building site where they’re putting up fences or joists all day and need fast basic cuts.
The battery will last you quite a long time. You’ll get 2-4h of very frequent/constant use per battery, and it comes with two so you’ll be set for the whole day as long as you keep them charged.
The guard is essential and should be left on unless you’re very familiar with this tool. But it is easily removable if you do need to take it off.
The saw can be safely wielded by an amateur as there is no kickback but try to resist the temptation to support it with your 2nd hand, because it’s not designed for that and there are no safe areas to put your other hand. Which is it’s only drawback. This is strictly a one-hand tool! But it’s not heavy and fits nicely in both of our hands!
I am pleased with this buy and think it’ll be getting used for years to come!
I recently bought this cordless compact and lightweight chainsaw, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. This little powerhouse has made my DIY work a breeze.
First and foremost, the compact and lightweight design of this chainsaw make its really ease to use. It’s incredibly portable and easy to handle, allowing me to maneuver it effortlessly around my property. Gone are the days of lugging around heavy and cumbersome equipment. This chainsaw’s ergonomic design and balanced weight distribution make it a pleasure to use for extended periods without straining my arms.
One of the standout features of this chainsaw is its cordless functionality. No more hassling with tangled cords or limited mobility. With a fully charged battery, I can take on any task with the freedom to move around and reach tight spots without being tethered to a power source. The battery life is impressive, providing ample runtime to complete various cutting tasks without interruption.
Despite its compact size, the cutting performance is outstanding, effortlessly slicing through branches and logs with precision and speed. The chain stays sharp for an extended period, reducing the need for frequent maintenance or replacement. I was pleasantly surprised by the power it delivers, rivaling that of larger gas-powered chainsaws, without the noise, fumes, or maintenance associated with them.
Safety is always a top priority when working with power tools, and this chainsaw doesn’t disappoint. It features rotatable top guard baffle and bottom handle guard baffle, lock-off button plus rubberized and ergonomic grips for user’s safety that ensures accidental starts are virtually impossible. I feel confident and secure using this chainsaw, even as a novice chainsaw user.
Lastly, I must mention the excellent build quality and durability of this chainsaw. It feels solid and well-constructed, designed to withstand rigorous use and tough outdoor conditions. It’s clear that the manufacturers have paid attention to detail and prioritized reliability.
It has become an indispensable tool in my toolkit. Its portability, impressive cutting performance, cordless convenience, and overall durability make it an exceptional choice for DIY enthusiasts, homeowners, and gardeners alike. Whether it’s pruning trees, cutting firewood, or tackling other outdoor projects, this chainsaw delivers outstanding results with ease.
It arrived the next day and neatly packed. It is a hand held well-built chainsaw, easy to use, has lots of accessories and comes at a great price. I’d recommend everyone to give it a try.
A few months ago a purchased a Kuzupro battery hammer drill and was surprised at the quality and value for money so when I was looking for a small battery chainsaw I thought I would give this a go. On opening the box you are greeted by a black plastic case with two catches that secure the lid very tightly. Once opened I was pleasantly surprised to see the same degree of attention to detail that I had found in the drill was again present in the saw. Everything has a place in the case and with the lid closed nothing moves around when being carried, etc.. The materials used and build quality appear very good for something at this price point.
As I do with all battery tools I put one of the batteries on charge straight away and less than 30 minutes later it was completely charged and ready to go. The supplied charger hardly got hand warm during charging. Removing the saw, spare battery and ancillary pack revealed the user manual which is written in good English with clear pictures and diagrams. If you are not familiar with using a chainsaw then reading the safety notes is an absolute must as even at 8″ this saw has the potential to do serious harm to the unwary. The two year warranty is a nice addition.
As I was keen to use the saw I checked the chain tension (which was correct) applied some oil, fitted the battery and went off to lop some low lying branches from a tree in our back garden. To begin with I tried the saw out on some branches that were 2-3″ diameter – it went through those like a hot knife through butter with barely any sign of strain. The same was true of the next few branches of 4-5″ diameter and I was starting to feel that this was a good buy. I was pleased with the operation of the safety bezel which keeps saw dust and wood chips from being thrown into the users face and is spring loaded to close again after a cut. The bezel also prevents accidental contact with the saw blade. The weight and balance of the saw makes single-handed use very easy.
At the bottom of the garden is a tree stump that is about 14 or 15″ thick so I thought that would test the saw to its limit, but it cut through the stump without any trouble at all. Obviously, with an 8″ reach a log like that needs several cuts from different directions. I am now convinced this was an excellent buy and will compliment my larger saw perfectly. So far I have been getting about 30 minutes use per charge so the saw is a good productivity tool and I highly recommend it.
I decided to get a hand held chainsaw as I have several trees and large woody shrubs that require cutting back and it was taking me ages to get it done using normal tools.
I’m so pleased I went for this one. It arrived the day after I ordered it and was ready to use straight out of the box.
It’s well built and feels very solid yet it’s much lighter than I thought it would be and this makes it really easy to use. It went through branches like a knife through butter and what would normally be a frustrating and time consuming job for me was made so much quicker and easier.
The chainsaw comes exactly as described and has plenty of features and accessories including a charger, 2 batteries, oil, a spare chain and a solid, sturdy storage/carry box which keeps everything neat and tidy.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality hand held chainsaw which is well built, easy to use, has lots of accessories and comes at a great price.
While it’s a gross exaggeration for the sellers to claim that it will whip through a 1Ocm branch in 8 seconds, this chainsaw is still incredibly handy in that it’s less work than a handsaw and more manoeuvrable than my extendable garden chainsaw.
It arrives with the chain on and both batteries almost fully charged, so that you can get to work straight out of the box.
If I have any whinges at this early stage, they are limited to the fact that as a left hander, I’m forced to use my right, as the power controls are designed for a right hander.
UPDATE:
The seller offers a 2-year warranty after sale – you just email them to get it activated. A surprise nice bonus… purchase
I got this product so that I could cut back a large “bush” in a front garden. I use the term “bush” lightly, it was more like a tree trunk when I actually went to look at it the other day.
I’d tried an electric saw on it, but it vibrated so badly, I wasn’t able to cut it. So I bought this. I didn’t fancy using a bigger chainsaw, as I know they can be dangerous if they kick back, so this looked to be the best solution for me.
It comes in a decent sized box, it’s about 12cm tall, 25cm deep and 40cm long.
It does need a bit of assembly before you can use it, you need to fit one of the two chains that are included. The instructions are all there for you, and are clear enough, it took me about five or ten minutes to get it all set up, and the majority of that was me trying to tension the chain properly. I struggled with the tensioner screw, I know there’s only two ways to turn it, but I think I made the job harder for myself than I needed honestly…
When you do get it tensioned properly, then you can attach the battery. If you press the safety button in on the side with your thumb, and then press the trigger button for less than a second, the light on the front of the chainsaw lights up, and will stay illuminated for approximately 9 seconds before extinguishing. If you keep the trigger held, then the chainsaw starts running. It’s about 72 decibels at a foot away, not too noisy, but could be worthwhile using ear protection?
It cuts through wood quickly and easily. It’s really light compared to the electric saw I was using previously, and it feels comfortable in your hand. I’ve got big hands, but this gives me plenty of room to hold it safely and comfortably.
This unit comes with two batteries. They are 21 volt 2.0 amp hour batteries, and they both have an LED battery gauge on them. Press the button and it shows how much power it has. I really love this idea, it’s so good to be able to check quickly and easily if the battery is charged.
Because it’s cordless, it’s so much easier to use. I don’t have to get an extension reel out, plug in an rcd, reel it out to the garden and then plug a saw in before I can use it. I can literally grab the box, check the battery charge, snap the battery on and be ready to cut in seconds.
The light isn’t very bright, in normal situations outside you’d not know it was there, but in a dark area, it does light up enough so you can see. I do always appreciate having a light to show where I’m working.
The toolkit bag is roughly the size of a pencil case, and easily contains the spare chain, the screwdriver for tensioning the chain and a small bottle of oil to lubricate the chain.
It does come with one of the metal belt hangers, but with this fitted in place, you couldn’t shut the case without excessively forcing and warping it. If you do need to use it, screw it on and when you finish up, unscrew it and put it back in its bag.
I’m very impressed with this and can see me using it a fair bit in the future. I would recommend it.
