Product was just what needed had tried other ones but kept bubbling up and wasnt as private as stated this was perfect ease of use with good instructions and even seller contacted after delivery thanks will use seller agai
I bought this film for the bathroom initially as I wanted to keep the blinds open but still have the privacy, and it absolutely did that. No one can see in, and I get to see the sunset from the shower, keep the windows open with a breeze flowing for air. I also put this on the living room patio doors to stop the dog from fixating on outside distractions which also worked. I will certainly be buying more of this when needed.
Bought and installed 5 years ago now, easy to put up and cut, perfect for stopping people looking in our large bay window. It does stop some of the light coming through but not much, better than nets or blinds for sure.
Been up for 5 years and hasn’t peeled or come off at all.
My dog bounds over mt bed to look out the window whenever anything moves in the garden and fixing this film is just what I needed . Now the postman ,dustbin men and any other soul that passes my house are saved from being barked (loudly) at . Came in good time well wrapped and quite easy to fit .
Love it! As if peace of mind had a tag price. “Easy” to install, there are lots of bubbles but I wasn’t looking for perfection anyways. If you have someone that can help you and a hair dryer totally use it! Made the job much easier and less bubbles.
Easy to remove as well, it’s not glue that holds it – renters best words to hear imo
Not terrible but not amazing, patchy finish on narrow door glass as bubbles impossible to remove, the bubbles faded but left a patchy appearance behind would be better if micro permeated like wrap vynil or screen protectors to enable air escape.
Used similar on larger flat glass and results much better however in that instance the corners like to peel. Overall great fir light diffusion amd privacy but its a temporary style product held up by static and has positive and negatives as a result of its nature. Appears to be reusable tho so thats a big positive
Because of the size I bought I had to do 2 horizontal strips because my windows are very high but narrow which was hard to align the 2 edges without 1 moving. But apart from that really good quality and does the job
Quite good product and it works well, its quite tricky to install, you have to spray water on the back of it to install against windows, you will also need a very good pair of scissors to get a nice clean cut.
We had an issue with a nosy neighbour looking in our back bedroom window whenever he was in the garden, with this film it became a non-issue. Gone are the days of feeling watched in the comfort of our own home. It was a little challenging to use, and to cut, but it’s been so worth it. And I cannot stress enough that the more water, the better!
This film adds a frosted appearance to your windows, providing privacy without sacrificing natural light. The frosted film is perfect for bathrooms, bedrooms, or any space where privacy is desired. It also works well in office settings, offering a professional look while maintaining a sense of openness. Applying the film is a straightforward process. With the provided instructions.
Literally the only troublesome part of the whole event was peeling back the backing off this, at one point I was convinced I had been sent one without backing. But persevere, its worth it!! Great product and the price is very reasonable.
Needed to shut out the busy street in front of my house and get some privacy. Installed this on a big bay window and also in my kitchen and on my front door glass panels. These are so easy to install. The water spray thing is ingenious. If you mess up the placement, you can easily reposition. I used a credit card to get out all the water bubbles and a hairdryer at the end (thanks to advice from other reviewers on here) to get the edges as smooth. Make sure you measure carefully before you cut and do give yourself a touch extra on the margins so that the whole window is totally covered. I drew the cut out lines on the bit that you pull off so that I didnt have the pen marks on the window frosting itself. I put these up about 6 months ago and they’re still in place, I haven’t had to touch them since. They will never look 100% like a professional job but honestly, unless someone looks very very closely, no one would know! For the price, amazing. Highly recommend.
Hoped for them to let more light in… but they are quite thick and therefore do the job of creating privacy. Extremely tricky to get on large windows without air bubbles and gave up trying to make it perfect after an hour! Looks ok from a distance…. expensive for non made-to-measure (also a battle to cut the edges in a straight line). Fairly easy to peel off and stick back on (with plenty of water).
Item came promptly and had no defects.
The application was relatively easy but I still have lots of bubbles that I did not manage to lay out (however it might be more of a lack of skill than anything about the product). I normally have a net curtain over it, so it is not a big issue.
The film does not disturb the natural light and offers an adequate level of discretion from outside. However, when the lights turn on in the evening, it does allow for some shadow and silhouette to be observed from outside. Nevertheless, at the point the lights are on, we lower the blinds so that evens it out.
When the item arrives it is folded in a tube, however when it is laid out, it unfolds nicely and without creases. The only thing that was peculiar was the choice to send it out, in the massive box pictured. Funny story the delivery driver left this box under my door mat! (????)
Anyhow, the product is fit for purpose and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend it!!
Hmmm think put this in the wrong side of IKEA Billy glass doors as was hoping to be more opaque. Oh well. Fairly t straightforward to apply in principle but if you started at the top and went down the glass it would start peeling so may be clothes peg? Anyway the shower glass wiper or squidgee thing was helpful and a spray bottle for reapplying toy the surfaces to get air bubbles out. The whole thing was fairly forgiving and could be peeeld off and reapplied. I imagine if this were a window would be easier as the door was 192cmx38cm so tricky.. not perfect but adequate finish. Took me about 90 minutes and would have been quicker if smaller area of glass to cover! HOT TIP TO MAJE SURE ALL BUBBLES REMIved make sure your final piece of window film birder is a few mm less than the area needed to cover as it’s a massive pain trying to get them out all the way to the edge of the film. I learnt this too after first attempt and it was much quicker and easier for the next doo
This arrived with no instructions, and as I wasn’t putting it directly onto my windows (I needed to use it at the back of a shelving unit in my shop) I didn’t bother looking for any… this was a big mistake.
After taking about 20 minutes attaching it carefully across the back of 2 ikea kallax units (both 2 x 8) having it roll back on me constantly, I finally got it attached, smooth, even and looking good. I sat back knowing that the sun would not be able to get through to the inside of my shop quite-so-much (the main window faces south-west so gets full sun all of the hottest part of the day). I left that evening happy to know when I arrived the following morning most of the sun would have been reflected and it might be a little cooler than the 33’c it had been before I attached the film – not only is my window in full sun, the shop has a flat roof, and 2 take-aways either side so when there’s warms up, so does mine; the heat is then trapped until the next day.
Imagine my horror when I arrived the following morning at 6am to see the thermometer was already at 31’c. That’s right, you’ve guess it; this idiot had failed to peel the backing off, and attach the film the correct way around. Instead of reflecting the sun/heat back, it stopped any of the heat that built up from escaping! Lesson learned, and once I’d unstuck it, peeled the backing off, fought with it rolling back on me again, I have to say it is working really well. It’s helping to keep my little oven of a shop around the 24/25’c mark and I can’t complain about that.
I like this privacy screen. It was delivered super fast and the packaging was adequate. It comes in a roll which can pose a challenge to keep it rolled out when measuring and cutting but using a flat surface with something to help you pin it down helps. The most important thing I think you need to know is that you need time to install it, and patience if you want it to fit properly and to look neat. I used a spray bottle to add water to both the window and the privacy film (after removing the backing paper). If you’re struggling to position it or to Fitbit to the window corners, add more water, loads ofnitnin fact! (I had a towel folded on the window sill to soak up the excess). I found this was the only way to help me move the film easily and fit it to corners, ensure it was straight etc. as it will remain stuck to the window and be movable at the same time. Word of advise when it’s time to cut it: make sure your craft knife blade is sharp! This is essential to avoid ragged edges which seem to be more likely to peel or lift. The instructions state to use a squeegee to remove bubbles but there was none in the pack I received. This is ok, less single use plastic. I used a plastic card and it worked fine to get rid of bubbles and also used it as a guide to cut the excess. The photographs were taken 24 hours after installation. There’s a “frost like” mark around the edges which is hardly visible unless you’re looking for defects, I’m not 100% sure but I think it might be due to the cold weather the water has not fully dried yet. It does what it says. Light comes through the window quite nicely but visibility through is zero. This is a really good privacy window film!
The Lifetree Frosted Window Film Privacy is marketed as an opaque window film designed to provide privacy for glass windows. However, after testing this product, I found that it doesn’t do a great job at providing the level of privacy that it promises.
Pros:
– The frosted film does provide a level of privacy, but it’s not as opaque as other competing products on the market.
Cons:
– The film is not as opaque as it claims to be, allowing people to still see through the window.
– The installation process is more difficult compared to other window films, which could be a disadvantage for some users.
– The film doesn’t stick well to the window and can peel off easily, making it an unreliable choice for long-term use.
– The product is more expensive compared to other window films that provide better privacy protection.
Overall, the Lifetree Frosted Window Film Privacy is not the best choice for anyone looking for a window film to provide privacy protection. While it does provide some level of privacy, it’s not as opaque as other competing products on the market. Additionally, the installation process is more difficult, and the film doesn’t stick well to the window, making it an unreliable choice for long-term use. Finally, the product is more expensive compared to other window films that provide better privacy protection. If you’re looking for a reliable and effective window film for privacy protection, it’s best to consider other options on the market.
