    I needed to replace an older slower car charger that I’d had fopr several years and was not really charging any longer.

    I saw this had quick charge capabilities and thought that was perfect for what I needed.

    I use it to plug into a wireless charging phone holder I also picked up and it works a treat.

    I find it handy that It also has a spare plug so that my passenger also has a place to plug in and charge.

    I can recommend it – Only 1 small issue is that you are not supplied a cable but im sure most of us have several spare lying around so not a big issue.

    I’m thrilled with the LISEN USB C car charger! Not only is it super compact and all-metal, but it also charges my devices rapidly on the go. For such a speedy charger, the price is incredibly reasonable – definitely a great buy!

    Good:
    LISEN USB car charger adapter with USB-A (QC — 18W charge) and USB-C (PD — 30W charge) with a total output 30w is quite small and sits almost flush in 12v car charger. This low profile design looks very nice on the dash and is unlikely to get broken while in use, but it is also easy to remove the charger adapter from the 12v socket. The charger adapter has a high-density aluminium alloy shell, so looks robust and feels like a premium product. As UCB-C cables become more popular nowadays, it is nice to know that this charger adapter can be used with USB-A and USB-C cables, it is nice to have this flexibility. As I have Samsung S10, which can only take 15W, I could not test the high speed charge to the full capacity, but I could compare the charging times with in-build car’s UCB-A port and alternative USB-A charger adapter. The results were as below:
    * Car’s standard USB-A: phone battery charged at 44%, time to full charge — 1h33min
    * Alternative USB-A charger adapter: phone battery charged at 45%, time to full charge — 1h2min
    * LISEN charger adapter USB-A: phone battery charged at 45%, time to full charge — 1h2min
    * LISEN charger adapter USB-C: phone battery charged at 45%, time to full charge — 1h1min
    Phone recognised “fast charge” mode without any problem. There is a handy indicator light within a USB-A port, so you can see it is plugged in, also helps to find the charger in the dark.
    I was using this charger adapter for 10 days, so cannot comment about long-term robustness yet, but it was good so far.

    No so good:
    According to the packaging, it is 30W total output, so advertised 48W charge is misleading, as it seems either QC (18W charge) or PD (30W charge) is possible, not both together. Moreover, the item description clearly states “NOTE: The fast car charger CANNOT fast charging 2 devices simultaneously”, so it is a problem only if you do not read carefully “small print”.
    This charger gets a bit warm under the use however high-density aluminium alloy shell can help the car charger to dissipate heat in the charging process.
    Indicator light within a USB-A port is nice, but if you leave your car for a long time without running, it could contribute to draining battery.

    Verdict:
    At the current price of 8.99 LISEN USB car charger adapter is a nice affordable little device, which offers higher charging speeds when compared with my standard car’s USB-A port, and offers flexibility of USB-A/-C charging, when compared with my alternative USB-A-only charger adapter.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Nice small charger offering USB-A and USB-C charging flexibility

    Used this on a 4 hour trip worked well the whole time, due to the small size the lifespan of this wont be long if used in warm situation due to thermal traping of being in a 12v socket but its small easy to stow in a cable pack pouch makes it handy in a pinch.

    My car has a few 12v sockets so it’s great to have these car chargers in them to allow the family to charge their phones and tablets.

    So far, this charger has been great. I have weird 12v sockets so the charger doesn’t sit flush like the pictures but that isn’t a problem for me. I have noticed this charger gets a bit warm under use however and just to be safe I remove it from the socket if I’m not in the car. It’s fantastic value for money also.

    In one of my cars I’ve struggled to get my magnetic Peak Design car mount to supply enough charge to my phone to stop it discharging slowly when using Google Maps, and also to maintain connection. I’d variously blamed the car’s power socket, the Peak Design mount, the phone’s Adaptive Charging and various things but not the power adapter I had, which was a well branded USB C PD adapter. I thought I might as well try this one.

    When it arrived it had rounded contacts, which I generally don’t like, preferring a flat one to maximise contact patches so didn’t hold out a lot of hope, however on the first trip, not only did it not lose connection once, the phone went from 85% to about 93% in a half-hour trip while using Google Maps, it’s never done that before with the previous chargers.

    Whether this was just a quirk of the USB PD profiles used on the other chargers and their interaction with the Peak Design charger or not I don’t know, but I do know that the charging issues in that particular car have been unexpectedly completely resolved by this charger so I’m very happy with it.

    I have just returned from a trip to Scotland and this little gadget has turned out to be a great asset which I was not expecting from such a humble little device. I knew I needed something reliable to keep my phone charged up as I was travelling and this was small enough to avoid being a pain while I change gear and used the hand brake. My old one was a lot bulkier and my hand had a habit of catching the cables so I seldom used it. Where this really came into its own was with my trusty old Satnav which started to play up really badly constantly losing signal. I think because there where issues with its own little charger, so that it was trying to work with a low battery and lack of power and was just not happy. Once I plugged it into this though, it was back in the world of the living and the Satnav never played up once . . . . . a coincidence, maybe, but I don’t think so.

    06/02/24 Just to say this still works fine. The Satnav fires up every trip as I use it as a digital speedo, and my phone is often on charge, but the device seems happy I have had no issues.

    LISEN USB C Car Charger Adapter

    This is a very neat and compact car charger. It’s got a neat no frills black anodized aluminium shell that’s about as small as a car 12v accessory can be.

    It fits well in the 12v accessory port and doesn’t move or lose contact in use. I plugged in an iPhone that was on 15% charge at the start of a drive to work and after a 20-minute journey it had reached over 40%. There is no light on the charger though, so you’re dependent on whatever you plug into it if for a charge indicator. It didn’t get noticeably warm in use.

    Although there are two USB ports, these are for different charging standards and can’t be used for fast charging two devices at once.

    The black anodized finish is a bit soft and was soon scratched after using a few times in the power outlet, but this wasn’t unexpected, and it didn’t affect the usefulness of the product.

    What I liked about it:
    * All metal construction.
    * Very compact.
    * Good output, charges quickly.
    * Two USB sockets for different devices.

    What I didn’t like about it:
    * Would be nice to have a power or charge indicator light.
    * Can’t fast charge two devices at once.

    Overall, I like this charger. It’s good value and compact and does what it’s supposed to do well. Recommended.

    I’d been looking for a car charger that had as low a profile as possible, once inserted into the 12v socket. The pics made it look very low. It does sit slightly higher than expected, but more or less ticks the box.
    Plugging in my phone to either port (You’ve the option of a USB A with QC or a USB C with PD) resulted in quick charging, but not, as my phone likes to call it “Turbo charging”.
    It’s rated at 30W for the Power Delivery port & 18W for the Quick Charge port, so it should be able to hit maximum speed.
    It then tells you it’s 48W in total, but can’t charge at full power through both ports at the same time….so it’s not really 48W….
    It charges fine, just not as quick as they’ve said.
    My main criteria was the size, so I’m happy with it, it just doesn’t quite live up to the claimed specs.

    Firstly, please excuse the dirt and dust in the picture, but when I tested the charging of two items (iPhone/mini-speaker), I was in my husband’s work van! For charging my iPhone on its own, I would have given 5 stars, but for charging my iPhone plus a very small speaker I can only give 4.
