MoKo Switch Dock for Nintendo Switch/Switch OLED, Portable
MoKo Switch Dock for Nintendo Switch/Switch OLED, Portable TV Switch Docking Station with 4K HDMI/Type C Charging Port, Replacement Dock for Official Switch Stand Base (2023 Upgrade Metal Version)
Pretty cool charging dock compared to others I’ve seem. It’s a very solid material that won’t easily break and it’s very simple to set up and use!! I’m very happy with this item so far.
The MoKo Nintendo Switch travel dock offers a refreshing departure from the conventional docking stations. Crafted from a sturdy aluminum alloy, this dock has a premium feel. Its ability to fold into a compact, easily portable shape is a standout feature. Moreover, it can comfortably accommodate a Nintendo Switch even when it’s housed in a protective case.
Connectivity via the HDMI port and charging through the USB-C port has been flawless. However, it’s worth noting that it lacks a USB-A port for wired controller connectivity. However, this might not be a deal-breaker for many users, especially those who prefer wireless controllers.
Overall, the MoKo docking station stands out as a well-designed and portable device that’s perfectly suited for travelers. Its unique design, sturdy build, and reliable performance make it an excellent choice for Nintendo Switch owners.
This stand is super heavy duty.
Made from metal, it folds up nicely.
It is able to display Youtube videos onto the screen, which I have found isn’t always the case for non-nintendo bases.
The weight of the metal could be an issue if you are looking to save weight in travel, but it’s not too much more weight than a can of soda.
The only honest complaint is that there isn’t an additional USB A port for a USB controller.
Overall, I would highly recommend this stand for at home use, and likely recommend for travel use.
Nice functional dock. Functional for being a portable switch dock that can connect to TVs. I take this dock when I go traveling because it doesn’t add much weight or bulk. It’s still a bit larger than my old travel dock, which is mostly just a dongle with the connection ports. This one actually has a sturdy build that I feel comfortable placing my switch on top of so it’s not just sprawled on the hotel dresser drawer.
The ports being on the top make it a little difficult to access and awkward to set up. You will also have to plug in your Switch every time you want to dock or undock your Switch, so I would not recommend this as a full replacement for your OEM dock because you’ll find it annoying to plug and unplug regularly.
If you’re the one in the family or friend circle who carries around your switch for everyone’s entertainment, consider adding this little companion to your switch carry gear.
This Portable Dock stand is built tough and convenient to carry around in a travel case. My Nintendo Switch sits perfectly on it by folding out the stand and it’s simple to plug in the USB-C along with HDMI for charging/TV connectivity. It’s made of metal so it has some weight to it and it’s a little tight when opening the stand. Overall, it’s a must have because it’s so portable and functional.
Got this so I could plug my Switch into a different TV without needing to move the entire OEM dock. It does the job.
Pros: Good travel dock. Foldable, which makes it extremely portable and packable. Holds the Switch upright decently enough.
Cons: HDMI and USB-C charging plugs are awkward as they align vertically. (You could remedy the HDMI USB-C issues by adding right-angle adapters). Requires manually plugging in the bottom USB-C every time you dock it, rather than just dropping it onto a static USB-C plug, like on most other Switch docks. Could be annoying if you’re moving your Switch around a lot.
If you want a dock you can carry around with you, this is probably the one you want.
If you just want a spare dock, I think there are better options for the price.
What an incredible built!
Unlike the others docks for the Nintendo switch here this ain’t plastic.
This is a nice, heavy, solid, durable, Aluminum body that is nicely brushed and will certainly last.
Pros:
– Super build quality
– Versatile, this can easily be used for an USB C Tablet, Phone (As I showed in the pic) or of course, your switch
– Foldable, and can be easily carried with you on travels
– Excellent dock for your home use, but also excellent for travel. It offers a great 50-60 degrees angle and will be perfect to sit on airplane food tray, so you can play your switch while you travel (Or your table with a movie, or your phone, etc)
– Price is just right, not over the top, and I think for the build quality this is absurdly good
– It does carry up to 100W PD, that is, if you have a 100W PD USB C and charger. Keep in mind the Nintendo Switch only supports up to 35W (39W with their included adapter), so you won’t get the 100W on a switch
– Does fit Nintendo Switch with a case since. The rubber tips hold it in place nicely
Cons
– I really, REALLY, wish it had 4K at 60Hz. With this insane build quality, it’s a huge bummer. I am not going to take a start because this was clearly advertised on the body of the description of the Item. Keep in mind the Switch DOES NOT support 4K, so 1080P at 60Hz is fully supported as expected
– No change to change angles. Unless you pro either the front or the back up the angle don’t really change. I wish they could have engineered a lever behind the slot to sit the switch, it would have been magnifice
This Stand was a great idea, and we are all better off for it. When I place my Nintendo switch in the stand, it is with complete confidence that it will not fall Arby, scratch or broken, and that it will work exactly as advertised. And the stand does all that and more.
I love that this has the ability fold down making it ultra portable, but can double as a stand to rest your switch on once opened up.
This dock is well made — solid aluminum with HDMI port and USB-C for power. Once opened up, the base is sturdy and the points that you rest the Switch on are coated with a rubber silicone to prevent scratching or damage to the unit.
This is probably my new favorite Switch dock. It’s got a nice weight to it, holds the Switch in place firmly, and folds up super compact. No problem using it. Plugged into it with my original and aftermarket plug, hdmi to tv, right angle USB C to the Switch, we’re in business. When you use this, just give it a few seconds and it’ll send the signal to the tv. If you just want to use this as a charging stand while you play directly on it, just unplug the hdmi cable.
Pros: it’s heavy duty, looks awesome, super portable, works great. May work work with tablets too, haven’t tried.
Cons: when I use this dock, my tv doesn’t automatically switch the screen to “game mode” (adjusts the brightness , vividness, contrast, refresh rate, etc) like it does with the original dock. Not an issue though since this is just for travel anyways, for use on the rv tv, hotels, friend’s house, etc. One other negative is the lack of a regular USB port for plugging in a wired controller. This is just an observation of mine really, not even a gripe for me. I know some prefer wired controllers for certain games.
Overall, very well made, portable, just a really cool looking, minimalist type of dock. So much easier to pack this with the Switch for traveling. Recommend.
This is charing station for Nintendo Switch that can act as a stand at same time. When not in use, you can put two legs together to make it compact for travel. When it is needed, you just have the spread the legs out and put your Nintendo Switch on the stand. You can just use this product as the stand or docking station if you connect the power cable and HDMI cable. Just like the company claims, the design of this stand helps to have more air flow to cool the body down compare the original docking station which had very limited air flow. Another benefit of having this stand over the original one, is that it is so much easier to play while charing at same time. When you are outside playing the game and want to charge the console at same time, only way to do is carry additional stand to make the console sit higher from the ground to have enough space to connect the power cable. Since the USB C port for charing sits in the bottom of the console, you cannot connect the charging cable and play at same time without any stand. This product can solve that problem easily.
Overall, this should be ideal product for someone who needs the stand and docking station at same time. With all in one design, this stand will be a useful accessory for travel.
The dock is made of metal and has two arms that open to 90 degrees on its axis. There is one HDMI port and a usb-c port for power input. A small length cable is used to plug into the switch port. The arms have rubber guards and it’s open design allows the switch to be inside most cases and still use the dock. The minimal ports are the only drawback to this dock, but it’s super small and easy to fit into any travel case.
