I’ve got thick hair and I love this product. I started using it when my hair suddenly started breaking. In just a few months breakage stopped and this is now part of my hair washing routine. Liked it so much, it’s a great gift for your girlfriends!
Doesn’t control so well the frizz as I was expecting, Bumble and Bumble does the same, but It’s much lighter and doesn’t leave the hair stick when you slide your fingers through wet hair.
My hairdresser recommended I use this with Wella thermal heat protection spray before drying especially before straightening my fine, wavy, frizzy, bleached blonde hair.
It’s a wow factor every time I have learnt to the hard way on how to uses straightening my hair, I thought it impossible and to not kill my hair, but this combo works.
I know deep condition with castor oil, coconut, argon or avacado in the bath night before I then wash my hair normally and use Wella thermal with Ola no.6, straighten and just add dry shampoo to fresh 3/4 days later, then hair up for the last 2/3 days and repeat.
No need to wash so much I brush everyday to pull natural oils through hair everyday going to sve a packet on over washing and damaged to my hair unnecessarily via over processing.
I also use a scalp scrub with rosemary and peppermint oil with walnut grains, via this method my hair is growing is healthier than ever and it’s one less stress in my life.
On the whole I am pleased with this product. It definitely makes my hair look better and it is more manageable. However, I cannot give it 5 stars as it is quite difficult to use. The cream is quite thick and the container is very rigid so it is difficult to squeeze to get it out. I find I have to leave it upside down and the bottle is not really designed for this. It is also quite difficult to control how much comes out. It would have been better in a squeezable tube.
I did not believe in too much as i tried already the hair repair kit of this brand and i can not say that worked. But this smoothing crme… yes. I have a very very very frizzy hair, tried million thing, but tgis worked, and not just 72hours. I wash my hair just 1x a week (haidresser advice) and its effect is ok for a week too.
Has to use just a small amount. My hair is a bit longer then shoulder length. Natural dark hair but now bleeched. I used a small amount maybe 1cm (i pushed out) when i still had damp hair. But i realized maybe better after i dried my hair. So i used same amount after i had dry hair. And my friends asked me next day what i did with my hair it does not seem so frizzy, and soft touch.
So it worth to try.
A bit of a hit and miss for me really – I didn’t have bad hair to begin with however my hair is quite long now and I found that after blow drying my hair isn’t as smooth as it used to be since I’ve had my hair lightened.
On the first use however I noticed that my hair was more responsive to styling brushes – since dying my hair the hair doesn’t seem to maintain it’s bounce however by using this I’ve noticed that the hair retains its shape better after styling. So it was a very 5 stars.
For frizz management I find that this is best used on wet hair as it does have a drying effect. For instance after the first time I used it my hair looked great but the very next day my hair was dry and brittle. All the split ends were visible and the over all way my hair looked “not so happy”
Reluctantly I am still using this after washing my hair although i find it does leave build up on the hair so if you do use it ensure that you use a clarifying hair shampoo follower by nourishing conditioner.
This silicones on this make the hair manageable and by using your fingers the silicones make your finger glide better when styling your hair.
I find that it’s lost the 2 stars. Given the price I think this acts similar to products I’ve used in the past the had the same scent and consistency that cost less than 10. So for that reason I don’t think this is value for money.
Perhaps I will try the bond sooth oil next instead. A lot doesn’t go along way which is a good thing as it means there’s less filling agents in this, but if you use half a teaspoon and apply on wet hair sparingly then you can make it stretch. Be warned more product doesn’t mean better results – the more I used the dryer my hair became and brittle. I’ve added photos – remember hair might look good on photos but you want to ask yourself if you want your hair to just look good of feel good from within – for me the latter is important so the drying side effect let’s this product down for me.
I must add when I don’t use this my hair stays hydrated for longer between washes than when I do use this. So hence why abit of a hit or miss – I think you should try it though and make a decision yourself. But if you don’t want build up on hair or have fine hair then this is not the product for you unless you use it maybe once a week. But you’ll have to make sure you really look after your hair between those washes so lots of oils and avoid washing if you don’t need to. Trust me your hair will thank you in the years to come.
Happy hair!!
