OOHHEE Bays Battery Charger with 4 Slots, Individually Charger for AA AAA Rechargeable Batteries, Intelligent LCD Screen Battery Charger, for NI-MH/NI-CD Batteries
I was amazed when I saw the size of this charger. Most chargers I’ve ever had have been bulky or heavy. This charger is neither. What is also novel about this charger compared to lots of others is that you can charge single batteries as it charges batteries individually, so you don’t have to worry about filling two charging slots each time. The led indicator shows the battery charging and will also tell you if you mistakenly put a non-rechargeable battery in. All in all a top notch charger for a remarkable price
The image for the 4 slot chargers shows an input power of 5V 2A, however the device consistently sits around 1A (~0.9A), or roughly 200 mA per AA, rather than the implied 400 – 500 mA per AA. I’m guessing this spec was carried over from the 12 slot model. It should really be updated to avoid misleading consumers if I am correct.
Great little piece of Kit. The LEDs are bright and easy to see . they help to see easily when the batteries are fully charged. Batteries slot in, and remove easily. I was fed up with constantly throwing batteries away, so this along with the batteries from the same brand will hopefully pay for itself very quickly. Appears well made and robust. Highly recommend.
We only use rechargeable batteries in my workplace, but prior to ordering this we only had the standard older style of charger that took a maximum of 4 x AA batteries, and I thought it was time we upgraded and saved ourselves waiting around for hours for one pair to charge so we could get onto the next! This charger only takes AA and AAA batteries (fine by me as that’s almost exclusively what we use) but will charge up to 12 at a time, and there are indicator lights to show how much charge each battery currently has. The charging process itself can still take up to 7 hours (for AA batteries, 3 for AAA) but at least we can do 3x as many. This is currently priced at 19.99 and should make life much more convenient.
THIS IS THE OOHHEE BAYS BATTERY CHARG
This is a great little device. I was getting so sick of buying batteries that I decided to give this a try. I’m so glad I did. I love that this device is small and compact. In a busy house where multiple devices and chargers are being used at once, we need all the space-saving devices we can find. It stands upright, and you plug the USB C wire into the charging port and plug it into the socket. It powers up right away, and the LCD screen lights up bright green. You have 4 battery ports, and these can house AA OR AAA batteries. You can charge multiple different batteries at once, and you can just charge 1 battery on its own. It’s a really great charger and has been a pleasant surprise as when I unbowed it, my first impression was that it would be too small to do anything. It’s a great device and definitely worth 5 stars. I also really appreciate that if you put a non rechargeable battery in to charge, an error code will show on the screen.
Good charger with handy charger level displays

Easy to use but smaller batteries can be a little fiddly to put in sometimes. Slot then in, plug it in, and you’re good to go. It’s great being able to charge so many batteries at the same time too. I’m slowly trying to swap my house batteries to rechargeable ones where I can, it should save me money in the long run

My only real complaint are that it’s a little on the slow side of charging. And I also put a non rechargeable battery in and it said it was charging. I’d have thought this should have happened?. Current price is 20
Several of my battery-powered items take 3 batteries and years ago I stopped buying chargers that only do pairs.
I had 2 smart chargers that can refresh and test batteries but one recently died and I was reluctant to get yet another as it was the third (of various makes) to pack in over several years. They are quite expensive and I only need one ultra-smart charger that does test and refresh.
Charging at 500mA, this little charger is fine for recent high capacity AAs, but suboptimal for AAAs on a regular basis. Charge rate ideally should be 20-25% of the battery capacity. I’ll try to avoid using it for AAAs, putting odd numbers in my ultra-smart charger that can be set to 200mA or pairs into an even slower charger.
Requires a 5V 2A USB power supply. Short USB-A to USB-C cable provided. Having now used it twice, once on some old 2500mAh AAs whose capacity is now around 2000mAh and once for some fairly new 2500mAh AAs whose capacities are 2450-2510mAh. On each occasion it performed ok but seemed to cut out a bit early. On transferring to my smart charger they were not identified as ‘full’ and took a further 200-350mA at a 200mA charge rate to be ‘full’. Around 200mA for the newer batteries and more for the older ones. When fully charged on other chargers then transferred to my smart charger, batteries are always described as ‘full’. It is preferable for the health of batteries that they be a little undercharged than overcharged but I’ll monitor how it performs with other batteries and perhaps measure the actual capacity of various batteries when charged on this and other chargers. If I do I’ll update the review.
4 stars rather than 5 due to the excessive charge rate for AAA batteries.
Not the best charger I’ve ever had. It’s appearance is nice and the fact you can charge 12 battery’s at a time is very handy. I don’t have anything bad to say about it but there are a couple of bit’s I think would make it better. First when in use there are green lights above the battery’s indicating their charge level however the lights don’t line up with the battery’s and it looks a bit odd. I know this has no bearing on how well the charger works but it is strange looking. secondly as it’s a usb-c charger I’m certain it’s a trickle charger, that is fine with me except all previous trickle chargers I’ve had in the past don’t shut the power to the full battery’s off. I can’t swear to this as I haven’t run a full test on a full set of 12 battery’s at one time. When I do I will update this review.
This review covers the OOHHEE Intelligent Battery Charger, which features 12 bays for NI-MH/NI-CD Batteries. One notable advantage of this charger is its provision of 12 individual bays, allowing for the independent charging of batteries. This is advantageous over other chargers that require batteries to be charged in pairs.
The OOHHEE Intelligent Battery Charger is compatible with both AA and AAA batteries, but it does not support the charging of 9V (PP3), C, or D batteries, although these types are less commonly used.
According to OOHHEE’s advertised specifications, it takes approximately 7 hours to charge AA batteries and 3 hours for AAA batteries. Furthermore, each battery slot is equipped with its own charge level indicator allowing for easy progress monitoring.
Last year, I purchased a set of four rechargeable AAA batteries. While two of the batteries charged successfully, the third battery displayed an error message on the charger. Regrettably, the manual did not provide any insight into the cause of this error. It’s challenging to determine whether this is an issue with the charger or the battery itself.
I also attempted to charge a regular non-rechargeable battery, and one of them began charging, which should not have occurred, raising concerns about the product’s protective features. The second non-rechargeable battery was recognised and an error message correctly appeared.
This charger is powered by a USB-C cable, which is great for travel too. It boasts a slimline design, making it convenient for storage. The manufacturer recommends using the supplied USB-C cable, which resembles a standard cable and has a length of 60cm.
In general, I am satisfied with this product, but the issues with the error messages do raise some questions.
