These wirebound Oxford Campus A4 Notebooks are excellent quality.
The paper is thick enough that you can write on both sides of the page without issue and use gel pens without the ink penetrating through the page.
The pages also have four hole punches in the margin in case you want to store them in a folder and the pages are also perforated, so can easily be detached from the notebook.
hese are my favourite notebooks for a levels. the paper is smooth and good quality. pens don’t leak through. hole punched and easy to rip out paper. comes with a time table at the front and an app u can use to store your notes digitally. my fave notebook brand!!
I always use these Oxford notebooks on site and in meetings.
Although slightly heavy to carry around, the notebooks have these benefits:
1. A biro can be stored in the spiral spine
2. the pages open fully flat courtesy of the wide spiral spine
3. one book lasts me properly through a whole year of being carried in a briefcase
4. Pages are lined and margined
5. Any pages that have to be removed are perforated and also 4-way punched for storing in a file
6. the paper is good quality 90gsm and so individual sheets survive outside the book if removed.
Are use the fountain pen and the paper in these books are high-quality and don’t show through the other side. I wish I could go to ringbinder to match them.
I bought these for my daughters GCSE revision to make notes. I have used these notebooks for years for my own studies and I’ve not come across anything better as yet.
The paper is good quality and really smooth to write on – if you know you know.
These were a lovely set in pastel colours. They were delivered promptly. The price is high for notebooks, but you get what you pay for.
what made me buy it is that one of my friends had this product and it was so soft , . Its just regular paper but u can also get some app and upload your work on ur phone which is cool . its just regular blank paper but at least its sof
It’s good, the pages prevent ink leaking through, i realised I should’ve gotten like notebooks with more pages, I’m nearly 2 months into sixth form and need to replace them.
(It’s not the notebooks though it’s because all my subjects are essay based = much more writing)
FYI – the notepads don’t come in the colours that are shown in the picture – I got green, black and green. This isn’t Scribzee’s fault, it is mine for not reading the product description.
Let’s start with the good…I used to buy these notepads on and off for a while but I have started to use them all the time since I started Sixth Form (I’m doing French, Computer Science and French) because I want to properly scan in my notes so that I don’t have to carry 3 lever-arch folders to school everyday. Instead, I can just have a “daily” ring binder where I have everything in it which I need for that day.
PROS
– The paper is great quality
– Reasonably priced (especially if you get the pack of 5 when they are 13)
– App is useful and reliable (for the most part) – it is nice how you can import images from your camera roll, they don’t just have to be Scribzee scans.
– Nice perforated edges, I have never torn the paper by accident.
CONS
– The notepads do start to fall apart a bit if you don’t take good care of them. All I mean is that the front cover can come off the metal binders – build quality is good apart from that.
– The app is quite basic: you can only create one set of sub folders for each main folder, pretty boring UI, you can’t have the torch turned off by default and the edges of the scanned page often get cut off if you are someone who writes near the edges.
First off, the notebooks look very nice. They have a very nice inner cover where you can write your contact details in case you leave it behind somewhere, and on the other side is a grid so you can write down things like your weekly schedule. It’s also useful that this pack comes with different colours. It’s much harder to bring the wrong notebook when you have different colours for each subject/purpose.
Paper quality is also quite good. It says 90gsm, although I’ve used 90gsm paper from other brands and it felt much thicker, and there was less ghosting. However, it is still fountain-pen friendly; there is no feathering and all my pens glide across it smoothly, with no problems. The ghosting is also not very noticeable, it’s just not as good as some other brands. (See attached images where some ghosting is visibe)
My only complaint would be that the wire binding gets bent out of shape fairly easily, from just the weight of other things in my bag. This means that the pages don’t turn as easily, so it can be slightly annoying.
The Scribzee app is also useful. You can photograph the page of the notebook and it will crop it and adjust the brightness & contrast to make it look like a real scan. However, the app’s interface could be improved. If I’m at home, I usually just rip the page out and scan it with a scanner, as it is quicker than using the app.
You get five A4 pads in this pack, each with a different coloured cover. I received slightly different covers from those featured on the product page: dark blue, light blue, green, purple and red (the product page has a black cover in place of the green I received). Inside, there is a page for your personal details — these are really designed with students in mind, so useful if you leave your pad lying around in the library or lecture hall. There is also space for a timetable, which is a nice addition.
The spiral bound notebooks are actually slightly larger than A4 in size and that is because the sheets can be torn out. Each A4 sheet has a margin, plus four holes, so you can tear them out along the perforated strip and then you can put these in a file. As such they are perfect for taking notes in lectures — the pad is comfortable to hold and you can later file the sheets neatly. What is more, the sheets are good quality and you can write on both pages of the sheet without the ink leaking through. There is also a double back cover, including a cardboard sheet, to keep the pad stable when you are holding it, plus the spiral binding makes it perfect to fold over and easy to write on. With 140 pages in each pad, these are excellent quality.
I have never used this particular make of pad before, but I use A4 pads a lot and I would certainly use these again. They are more expensive than the types I normally buy, but the quality is very good and they will last a long while. As such, they really work out as good value and, as you can write on both sides of each sheet (whereas often the paper is thinner and so you can only write on one side) they really are worth investing in. Very impressed with these — perfect for myself and my student son.
