I have been using this mouthguard for a while now and fits well and is easy to mould. The mouthguard itself is of high quality and is comfortable. The case, on the other hand, is stiff and difficult to open. It usually takes quite a while to get it open! The mouthguard is great though and i would recommend it, but maybe try using a different container as the provided is too difficult to ope
Bought for my eldest (14) who is well into MMA. He does about 4 hours / week training, and needed a replacement.
According to him, they were easier to mould that anything he’s had previous, and are more comfortable to wear. They also seem to offer better protection when they are knocking 7 bells out of each other, so as a Dad, take my money…… 🙂
Guess I’ll be back for more in due course!
Easy and quick to mould. Fitted my 13 year old well & comfortable. Only issue is he left it in the pocket of his shorts & it got tumble dried so now buying another one!
The SafeJawz Mouthguard is hands down the best gum shield I’ve ever used, and I’ve been involved in contact sports like MMA and rugby for years. This slim-fit mouthguard has truly impressed me in every way possible.
First and foremost, the fit is absolutely perfect. It molds to my teeth with ease, providing a comfortable and secure fit that doesn’t hinder my speech or breathing. I often forget I’m wearing it during intense matches, and that’s a testament to its comfort.
Durability is crucial for a mouthguard, and the SafeJawz delivers. It has withstood countless blows and impacts, retaining its shape and effectiveness. The robust construction means it can handle the toughest of sports without showing signs of wear and tear.
The included case is a thoughtful addition. It keeps my mouthguard clean and hygienic when not in use, and it’s compact enough to slip into my sports bag without taking up much space. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference in maintaining the hygiene of my mouthguard.
One of the standout features of this mouthguard is its exceptional jaw protection. I feel confident knowing that my teeth and jaw are well shielded from potential injuries. It provides peace of mind during rigorous training and matches, which is invaluable.
The versatility of the SafeJawz mouthguard is another huge plus. Whether I’m sparring, grappling, or taking hard hits on the rugby field, it offers reliable protection for a wide range of contact sports. It’s a versatile solution that I can trust in any athletic setting.
In summary, the SafeJawz Mouthguard is a five-star product that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone participating in contact sports. It offers comfort, durability, and top-notch jaw protection in a slim and convenient package. This mouthguard has become an essential part of my athletic gear, and I wouldn’t train or compete without it. Kudos to SafeJawz for delivering such an outstanding product!
First gum shield for our rugby mad son and it fits perfectly.
Be careful not to use too hot water when moulding or it’ll curl up a little. Boil the kettle and wait a few minutes before proceeding.
The only challenge is getting him to stop wearing it!
These gum shields are amazing . I have 3 kids that all play rugby for the last 6 years . Have tried all different gum shields and these are the best . Easy to mould and last all season .
We got this one and the ice one for sons for rugby. Their other ones (different make) were wrecked so we tried these. We found these ones easier to mould and it was great that it can be re-done until you get the perfect fit.
Fitting was easy, Boil Kettle, rest in Bowl of Hot water for a short time. Fish out with a spoon and shake off then place in the Child’s mouth and mold to shape. They both managed without an issue, I was worried about the heat but the Mouth Guard didn’t stay hot for long and neither of them complained.
The fun design made it less of a daunting task when it came to moulding it. My daughter was excited to try it for the first time, having never worn one before. She was a bit scared to put it in her mouth as it is quite warm but it was easy to do and she said it is comfortable.
It took me two attempts to get it perfectly moulded, but the process is effortless. It stays in my mouth.
I think the bad reviews stem from folk not fully understanding the process fully, or simply over boiling the water, maybe they’re leaving it in the boiling water for too long. I don’t know but I had no issues.
How I did it on both occasions.
1. I prepped a cup under my kettle. (Kettle is a HotCup kettle) (87c)
2. I prepped a bowl of cold water.
3. I boiled the kettle to (87c)
4. I placed the guard into the water for 30 seconds. No more, no less.
5. Removed from hot water and IMMEDIATELY put it into my mouth.
6. Suck and bite at the same time for 30 seconds, whilst massaging the outside of the upper jaw, moulding it to the outside of your teeth. (Yes, it made my gums really warm but at 87c, I didn’t get any burns)
7. After 30 seconds, I immediately spat it into the cold water bowl I had ready.
TIP!
Make sure you only use boiling water to mould it. Only use cold water to wash it after each use, or you may ruin your teeth mould preset.
Great looking mouth guard but I can’t seem to shape the guard so the the “shock absorbers” at the rear lay flat against my teeth. I’ve tried to remold 3 times now and one side is flat and the other is at an angle each time. I can still wear it but I’m not convinced of the shock resistantance when it does not fit correctly. I don’t have an unusually large set of teeth (I’m 177cm so not a large guy), and I’ve never had issues with any other brand of mouth guard. It’s a shame as the mouth guard looks great, it just seems like a kids size. Is this just me?
