So simple to use, the file easily slots in to secure and the release button allows you to swap over rough to smooth. There’s the power button and a speed button, but there isn’t a massive difference between the speeds.
For me the file is working as I had hoped it would, by slowly, over a few days, removing dry skin that causes me pain. The file feels comfortable to hold and is lightweight at 214g.
This Scholl Pedicure Roller doesn’t offer any radical new approach or design but it does give decent results. It fits well into the hand, is relatively lightweight and can be interchanged with any of the heads from the Scholl footcare range. It offers a two in one head with one side having an abrasive side which does the hard work of removing tough hard skin whilst the other is a buffer which follows this up with a smoothing and polishing cycle. The abrasive roller really creates some quite serious friction when you use the higher of the two speeds on offer which in my view is good as it really gets to work on the tough areas whilst the pressure sensor ensures that the process never becomes painful. Power comes from 4 AA batteries which are supplied but will obviously add to the cost of using the device over time-amazed that Scholl haven’t gone for a rechargeable option here. Still this device is small enough for travel and really does remove quite thick patches of hard skin which can be then be polished for a nice finish. Afterwards, it is a very good idea to apply a good foot lotion as the treated areas are left dry and a little powdery. A decent example of a traditional style of pedicure roller.
