I bought this item for my other half as hers had seen better days and the kids nick it , also I was getting subtle hints would please her !! Result ..
Overall she is happy but one odd thing to take into consideration the most basic attachment is missing , the sceptic in me says this has been done intentionally, to get more money from us as to buy one cost 52 pounds , OUCH , the hairdryer is not cheap , far from it so to find this missing and then to find out it’s cost left a bad taste.
If you can live without it then as far as the product goes good but I’m sure I’m not the first person to find this out.
A very handy 5 in 1 hair styler and hair dryer.
I’ve had my eye on these types of stylers for a while and I was so excited to try this. Previously been using the Dyson hair dryer, I feel the Shark dries quicker and leaves less frizz. It’s also just as quiet as the Dyson. My hair is very frizzy, especially during humid weather. The frizz attachment is brilliant and I’d definitely recommend it to reduce flyaway hair. I don’t usually curl my hair too much as it’s a lot of hassel but the 5 attachments are so easy to use and curling my hair is now quick and easy. This set is perfect for holidays. And also saves having several styling accessories. Yes it has a hefty price tag but the quality is worth it. And I love the design. Lightweight and easy to hold and gives great results.
This is amazing. This is by far the best hairdryer I have ever used. I have really thick hair and drying my hair used to be a chore that would involved drying and then straightening separately to style it. It has multiple “wind speed” and heat settings and its truly a breeze to use. Its very quick at drying without blowing your hair all over the place but if you need to free-dry hair then blast away, it will do that too. This is definitely my favourite hairstyler and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I wasn’t really sure what to make of it …first I thought it’s going to be a test between Dyson and Shark like the vacuum cleaners….and surprising even of the latter is most of the time lost in the face of Dyson…they actually cracked it with this hair dryer why. I think I know why…
While the Dyson uses its perfected technology in airflow with a lot of sensors which does help keep your hair healthy and give you different looks …it certainly doesn’t really give you that saloon look..it’s like it’s missing something ..
Not the Shark ..they managed to make the perfect pairing between powerful and smart airflow and easy-to-use attachments that actually deliver a salon look at your home with minimal effort and knowledge ..which is what everyone wants, plus this comes with a book which shows what each attachment does for what hair and you can also follow up by scanning the code on each page which will take you to a training video..how smart is that?
I will let you discover what each one does ..however, I want to point out one of the smartest attachments and possibly a breakthrough. The rapid floss finisher .. does what a hair straightener does ..only better and without drying or burning your hair ..its amazing ..look it up.
All in elitists worth its weight in gold .
I am super impressed with the Shark speed styler. It is super lightweight and small in size, there is 3 temperature settings and 3 air settings. Temperature wise even the hottest setting is gentle enough that it wont damage hair, it does take a little longer than my previous dryer to dry my hair due to this but I can feel the difference in my hair afterwards that its glossier, less frizzy and my head isn’t burning up so the extra few minutes it takes to me is worth the fact its kinder to my head.
The set comes with 5 changeable nozzles; a curl diffuser, a concentrator, a rapid gloss finisher and two brush attachments. I don’t have curly hair so I haven’t used the diffuser as my hair is not curly but I have used all the others, the concentrator gives an extra turbo blow when drying your hair, once my hair is mostly dry I switch to one of the brush nozzles so I can add some volume at my roots which is very good. I’ve used the rapid gloss finisher twice to finish off my hair but I cant tell what it actually does, maybe I’m using it wrong?
Overall I love this hairdryer even though I’m only using it for the basics, the size and weight are huge advantages for me, since having it I’ve been looking into the flex styler as id like to try out the curling attachments.
So this is a hair dryer (rather than the air stylers that they sell – no hair suction!) – and it is quite a costly one at that, hence my reasoning for 4 stars.
Plenty of attachments, but the one I wanted to try most was the diffuser, most other hairdryers are very heavy and then sitting for ages diffusing with a heavy hairdryer is just no good! I was pleased that this is a fairly light hairdryer, so I didn’t have the same issue, not as quickly anyway.
There’s a button that auto detects what attachment you have on – its meant to auto select the heat and speed setting, I mean it works but I rather have my own control on that.
The other attachments are good too – there are points where they get very hot, but along the bottom they are still cool enough to the touch that they can be popped off easily without burning yourself.
Boxed nicely and also included a good quality bag to put all the attachments in. Very lightweight but still powerful and it does dry your hair quicker than other hairdryers. I like the rapid gloss tool which does a great job at de-frizzing and glossing the hair, makes straightening so much easier and quicker. All in all a great hairdryer, dries hair quick and leaves it shiny, plus lots of attachments to play around with. Expensive…….. but if like me, you dread the whole drying and styling routine, then its worth it.
The high price aside for now, this really is an excellent hair styling system not just a hair dryer, which of course is it’s main function. You get a couple of easy to use digital buttons to control are speed and heat/cool level as you’d expect. The controls responded instantly, were easy to use, and the high setting for each was really quite powerful. My wife said it dried her hair very quickly and left it feeling soft and silky, exactly as she likes. She is not a big fan of styling attachments as she prefers just plain long and straight; and her hair is mid back long. She said, maybe in the warmer weather she will try some of the styling bits. This is my first ever Shark product and i’m impressed. I liked the slim, compact design with a quality feel and weight to the product, but not heavy; just solid. It is nicely presented in the box. It is ‘expensive’ as 250 is no small amount, but overall, it seems worth the outlay.

Pros
-It’s super lightweight and small which makes it so good for transporting or taking away
-It has a load of different attachments so there’s something to suit everyone. I have only tried the diffuser as I have curly hair
-The diffuser is great quality and I absolutely love that you can flip with a button to pull the prongs down or push them up. I had them longer as I have very long hair. Usually you just get a bog standard diffuser which is shallow and small
-There is a ‘smart’ button which will detect what attachment you have on the dryer and select the heat and airflow settings accordingly. I found this worked well with the diffuser and set a low temperature which is good as for curly hair you don’t want too hot
-There are also manual buttons to select your own temp and flow
-The instructions are really clear
-Dried my hair in good time
-Attachments fit on securely and have safe spots to take it off where it doesn’t get too hot
Cons
-I didn’t find that my hair was massively different to my usual dryer that I usually use
-My frizz was not better with this and in fact it almost seemed slightly worse
This is a lovely set with a large number of attachments and even comes with its own carry/storage bag. The hair dryer itself feels like a really premium product, you plug it in and its surprising how much power and heat can come from such a small device.
I haven’t had a chance yet to use all the accessories, but the rapidgloss finisher and the diffuser (which is also adjustable by a lever on the rear of it) work so well. The controls on the hair dryer are easy to use, you have the on/off switch, and then 2 buttons, one which you press to select 3 different speeds, and one that selects 3 different temperature settings.
This is probably the best hair dryer we have used in this house and we all agree this is a fantastic product and would happy recommend it to friends.
The hairdryer comes with lots of attachments including a drfrzz diffuser, touchup brush, quick smooth brush, rapidgloss finisher and a concentrator.
It is really easy to use there is a slider for switching the hairdryer on or off and then two buttons, one for speed and one for heat and these work independently, so you can have any of the heat levels working with any of the speed levels.
My partner has used this quite a bit and she said it dries really well, no matter the attachment. Each of the speed levels are distinct and there is quite a big difference in the heat between the lower and higher levels. There is also a cool button which can be used for a blast of cool air.
Each of the attachments are securely attached by pushing them in and then turning, to take them out there is a release switch to slide. I like this because it means the attachments are really securely attached.
The attachments are very good quality, they are chunky and make of good quality plastic, they don’t feel flimsy at all, they fit on nicely and you wouldn’t know they were attachments.
The hairdryer itself is fairly small and light, it means that it is maneuverable but the handle is big enough to get a good grip. I really like the QR codes which enable you to see demonstrations. The instructions are also very good, clear and in colour with both images and explanations of each mode, it is a nice rounded package.
The results are very good and my partner is very happy, it gives a range of possible hair styles in a solid package, it feels robust and is easy to use while not sacrificing on features. An excellent hairdryer amd attachments.
