If you like Talisker (or Laphroaig or any peaty malt) you’ll like this. Not as extreme as Talisker Storm, but a good slug of smooth peat, with the usual fiery attack.
Excellent.
I don’t usually drink whiskey, I only bought it so that my relatives coming from Hungary could drink real Scotch whiskey. But I couldn’t wait for them with it, so I opened the bottle and tasted it, it was very delicious, I fell in love with the whiskey.
It was okay, but in the back of my mind I can recall buying good single malts for this less than 15 years ago. Thanks for ruining the market rich people from Asia!
For years I have said I’d try Japanese whisky, not the malt, but a blended one.
I chose this one by chance and by price.
I was not disappointed, a lovely, smooth delightful whiskey, with lingering notes, that remain in your mouth, I am a confirmed Scottish whisky man, burnt must admit, this one, was very pleasant indeed, and would have no hesitation in recommending a Dram or few.
This whisky is great tasting and perfect for a gift.
I am a big fan of the Talisker whiskies and like the smoke. It is a great way to get acquainted with the smokey whiskies and decide if you like them, before you move onto the big boys like Lagavulin 16 years, my favourite whisky but not for the faint hearted.
I was lucky enough to get both on Prime Day deals.
