One star deducted as took ages to get the bottom support bar in place due to slightly misaligned bolt holes. However, once all together very pleased. As I had bought the 6.2m version I was worried about the realistic usage to get to my eaves. However, once you get it placed at the right angle and the feet braced securely, I found it better than I had hoped. I’m very nervous of heights and was very careful in use, but as long as you go slow the wobble wasn’t as bad as I had thought. Fully extend the bottom rungs and leave the top ones collapsed if not needed to reduce wobble, as the frame gets narrower and more flexible the more you extend the top section. Did the job and was using confidently. I’m 72kg so not the heaviest which helped I think.
Excellent ladders. The stabiliser and hooks are a great bonus too and make such a difference to feelings of safety and security whilst using. They are also very easy to extend and collapse again.
Not too heavy for an able bodied person to move the ladder around. You have to fit the stabilizer bar and rubber feet, which can also be removed again if not needed, but I would advocate using the stabilizer because it definitely improves stability. Easy telescopic up and down – just follow the simple instructions. Used for outdoor access to first floor window for DIY work. Felt more confident and safe on this than I did with my other, shorter two-section ladder. Easy to store at home or in the car too. Pleased with the purchase.
Great set of ladders. Seem to be quite sturdy. Certainly easy to extend and collapse and take up far less room than a ‘normal’ set of ladders. Came with absolutely no instructions on the bits that need to be fitted, but very easy to work out.
Will be great to take in the Motorhome for winter so that the roof can be cleared of snow.
For the money I’m happy, it’s lovely and compact, weighty but manageable and each section locks well with a nice audible click. It does however at full extension flex a bit which can be disconcerting yet I’m not sure what else they could do with an aluminium ladder this compact and this long really to make it any sturdier. A steel material would be very heavy or you would overlap each section more but you’d lose either length or compactness. It didn’t over flex obviously but if you’re used to a rigid rectangular section ladder then this will be a bit worrisome. For me it did the job perfectly, was easy enough to raise and lower being careful to keep hands as warned away from the steps when closing, my only worry being the flexing.
