Work as intended but did work for my neeeds unfortunately. For basic connections these are excellent I thought this would be a work around for my specific needs but no. I would but again for normal use.

I have bought UGREEN cables before and always been pleased with the quality so when I got a chance to try their adapters that was a no brainer.
If you have some older good quality USB cables then that’s a great application for these which is what I have done here.
The UGREEN adapters arrived nicely packed as always and the packaging is all recyleable.
Both adapters are well made and the quality has a nice feel to it. The short cable on one adapter is also good and flexible for its length. The connectors also work well with a good snug.
The application I had was to use an existing cable/dac with my phone and both adapters worked perfectly. This means I can keep the existing cable rather than but another so I have no hesitation in recommending this product. Top stuff!
Two units each shipped in little plastic envelopes. I tested data transfer through both adapters and while the long one was excellent, confirmed at 5Gbps (about 465MB/s), I had issues with the smaller one – the connection was flaky and only USB 2.0 speeds achieved. However, I think that had more to do with the port on my computer – switching to a different computer not only gave me USB 3 speeds, it actually came through at 10Gbps! Excellent quality and performance, reasonable price.
Always very pleased with UGREEN cables and this was no exception.
The cable was braided and felt well made. Albeit a little short but it’s not like it needed to be long.
I used it for transferring some files on a USB stick and it worked.
Overall I am very pleased and would recommend.
My first experience with UGreen was via their USB Charger (45W with Travel Plugs) and the Design and Performance did NOT disappoint.
Nowadays USB C ports are very prominent in all new Laptops & small Notebooks, and multiple standard USB A ports are becoming rare.
However, there are some of us that still have and use computing accessories (such as external HD) that come with proprietary USB A cables.
So when I saw this set of x2 USB C adapters by UGreen being offered I didn’t hesitate.
Upon receipt, I was pleased to see each adapter individually packed & sealed in plastic bags to protect from moisture and particle ingress. I also liked that they included two different types:
— One tiny adapter for small components such as USB sticks and
— A corded one for larger & heavier components that may require room for access
I keep the tiny adapter connected to my Chromebook as it isn’t much bigger than a wireless mouse receiver (and also prevents me losing it!)
The adapter housings are metal (Aluminium); the braided cable and moulding give a good impression of Quality.
These USB C adapters performed well in terms of Data Speed as I was able to watch High Resolution video clips with no stutter or lag. Also they did not get hot at all when charging my various rechargeable toys.
UGreen is making its presence known in the USB Charger & Data/Power Hub/Cable market.
So far I’m impressed with the Design & Quality of their products and I would certainly recommend these USB C adapters.
As more and more laptops only have USB-C ports, these kind of adaptors are really useful for connecting older USB-A devices. Look no further than these UGREEN adaptors – they have great build quality and do the job perfectly. You get one small connector (my preferred one) and one with a short cable.
I’ve bought other UGreen products before and they’ve felt good quality so thought I’d give this one a go. I wanted this converter to be able to connect my Daughters Yamaha keyboard (E-473) to my iPad via a USB A to USB B cable. I also wanted to connect a USB MIDI interface, a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 audio interface and anything else that might need a connection.
I was a bit concerned that my iPad case might restrict the “non-cable” adapter to plug in (the reason I wanted this two pack with the additional longer cabled version) but I needn’t have worried as it’s very compact so have two usable converters! Both USB C connectors connect with a satisfying click and feel secure.
The build quality seems excellent, strain relief robust, braided cable chunky and connects devices without any issues. Once again, nice product UGreen!
I have a basic 10 inch tablet that I am planning to use on holiday and located an old tablet case with keyboard that, according to Amazon, I purchased in 2014. I cleaned up and repurposed the case. The added bonus is that there is a keyboard for typing emails should I need to do so whilst I am away. The keyboard terminates on a USB A adapter and the problem that the sample Ugreen adapters have solved is connecting the old USB A keyboard to the new USB C tablet. Two adapters are provided by Ugreen, and the one used to connect the keyboard has a short cable between the sockets. It may not be the most elegant set up in 2023 but it is just the job in these circumstances.
The second adapter is ideal for connecting to USB A memory sticks so that they can provide additional storage and transfer data to the tablet as needed. I have used UGreen products before and been impressed with their build quality. This is no exception. Both adapters connect legacy products to a new one, and do so very well.
I have always been impressed with the quality of Ugreen products, whilst not the top of the premium brands, they are definitely a level above the normal from a build and quality perspective. I have always found their products to be robust, reliable and “just work”.
This pair of adapters are do essentially the same thing as each other – allow you to plug in a USB-A peripheral into a USB-C socket. One of the adapters is a compact, tiny unit that will take up no room in your laptop bag, whilst the other is slightly larger, having a cable between the 2 plugs, making it approx 15cm / 6″ long.
Performance is the same between them, and both perform identically to my Apple Branded adapter, using both flash media or traditional portable drives.
Build quality appears to be very good, with the plugs in aluminium housings, and the cable one being braided. Up to Ugreen’s normal standard.
If there is a downside, it is that it seems a little odd to include 2 adapters that essentially do the same thing. If you need 2 adapters, then perfect. But if you only need 1, then it seems a bit wasteful.
As expected from UGREEN, these adaptors are well made and look good, a great way to connect USB-A devices through the more modern USB-C port.
Of the two varieties I prefer the USB-C with Cable to USB-A design, as it puts less pressure on your USB-C port. The other design still works well but I am always worried about the extra weight/sticking out further.
Would be nice to have the option of a two pack with the cabled design.
