Makes your iPad look like a lollipop when you charge the pencil, but it’s a lot less awkward than having to pull out a USB – C cable to use with the apple proprietary adapter.
I ordered this adapter to help charge my ipencil as a 3rd option other than using the iPad to charge it which sometimes is inconvenient due to I’m charging the iPad itself or a static larger individual charger. That said this is only compatible with my iPad 10th gen and no other which is a shame as it limits the use however I’ve discovered if I plug the usb C into a USB C port and then add the pencil it will charge the pencil that way without the need for the iPad which makes it more useful and convenient.
I was hoping this would work for my iPad Air 5th gen as my tablet is the same generation as the iPad 10th gen, however connecting my Apple Pencil 1 to my Air with this little connector did not work. All I got was a message saying that the accessory was not supported. A little disappointed for my use case, however I have only docked a star as I assume this will work on the iPad 10th gen as advertised and feels well made with no slack on connecting to USB-C – maybe the advert should state that it doesn’t work with iPad Air 5th gen as others may have made the same assumption.
