These are actually decent bright solar lights, but you have to accept that is a limitation as we get less and less daylight hours.
I would only use in motion detect on/off mode not the other 2 modes as the battery life is not good enough for the other 2 modes, I would also only suggest using in low traffic areas.

Easy enough to put up with a separate mounting bracket to the main body, bright enough in front of garage and detection works within a few yards , all in all pretty happy with purchase.
Very flexible device to direct light where it’s needed. Very bright and seem to recharge even on cloudy days. Perhaps the joints could be a bit tighter as they twist too easily, but this is easily remedied by tightening the screw joints. Good device.
