I was quoted 35 to have a new battery fitted in my Landrover Freelander keys by Timpsons. The battery would take 3 weeks to be delivered in store and I just couldn’t wait that long.
I was pleased to find this matched the battery number in my keys, so took a chance. I watched a few YouTube videos, as its not as easy as just popping it in to the keys, some very minor soldering is required. I took a chance as the key wasn’t working to lock the doors at all.
….Success!! I even used a cheap replacement case from Ebay, key looks and feels brand new for less than 10.
Saved some money, my key works effortlessly, definitely recommend.
The Batt comes in a good little case, however changing it is another question. the Batt fit’s well in the circuit board holes once cleaned up. once soldered all was great. so the batt works great and well worth the monies.
