Taste is not bad but not exciting either, however , I have one in the morning , one at lunch time, which keeps me going for the day, and a normal diner . I can see my belly and love handles disappearing nicely !!
I’ve recently gotten into protein bars because I tend to snack on junk from time to time and thought why not just snack on a protein bar that tastes good but also gives me 20g protein right? I bought like 5 different ones from Aldi and all of them were so hard my jaw clenched up, proper jaw workout. Thought I’d buy some cheap ones online and the red velvet were the cheapest I found, roughly 1 per bar is a bargain. They’re very nice and soft, even my little brother liked them. Just ordered another 5 boxes while they’re there and while I’ve got amazon prime delivery. Highly suggest it! Could easily eat like 3-4 of them at a time because they’re so nice.
For me personally, the taste has nothing to do with Red velvet. Not to say it’s bad, it’s still a nice sweet treat with great nutritional value. I would definitely purchase them again but in the other flavours as I’ve had them and they’re grea
They good but the page is a bit inaccurate…
They are 20.1 grams of protein per bar (not 21).
We will need to find the extra 1 gram somewhere else.
Other than that not bad tasting and good value (:
Compared to the more traditional chocolate bar style protein bars, this flapjack brownie one I found to be a little more dry. Its doesn’t taste, just a little harder to get down for me.
However, at the 12 I bought them at, they’re also substantially cheaper than alot of the competitors and for me the macros combined with the price still make it a worthwhile purchase.
So, I have just had my first bar and I can say I will be buying more.
I was initially a little worried these would be super chewy or firm after reading other commentsthinking, bye teeth! But, I stuck one in the microwave for 10/20 seconds and it softened up and become edible. Tasted pretty good too.
Imagine you use 2scoops of protein powder and add a couple of spoons of oats – that’s the density of these bars. Saying that, they don’t come across powdery at all. Certainly worth a go, though, I can’t imagine chewing through these without warming up in winter as they feel so firm.
Texture is fine, I’m not finding them dry at all, and the price is absolutely unreal as I’ve seen protein bars in the supermarket for over twice the price per bar. I like that the fat content is particularly low which you don’t find in most other bars. Only downside to these is that they are ridiculously sweet, to the point that I can’t finish a bar in one go. Probably made for you if you have a sweet tooth. Don’t get the rainbow cupcake flavour because the hundreds and thousands will ruin your life
